Thanks for taking the time to do these videos. One thing I would like to point out is that sometimes you can get an idea of the depth of the fish in perspective mode. If the fish’s shadow is close to the fish then it is likely lower in the water column. If no shadow or it is far away then it is likely high in the water column. If the fish are close to the boat and you can see them then they will likely be high the water column. (The same is true on side view) Thanks again!
Just purchased Lowrance Active 2, this video is extremely helpful in being able to interpret what I'm seeing on the screen and how to adjust for a better outcome! 6-12-24
You went into a lot of detail about the Perspective & Scout mounts on the Garmin and Lowrance units but totally ignored the Mega Live Mount in Landacape Mode. Since you can adjust the Mega Live Landscape angle from 0 to 40 degrees (or more), in increments of 10 degrees, it is much more flexible at different depths, and you can really fine tune it for the specific depths you are fishing.
love the detailed explanation, thanks. I'd love to see you draw on the whiteboard what the landscape / perspective beam would look like in the water column in your sketch on the right side of the whiteboard. If I understand it correctly, their is a lot of water column near the boat that would not show up on the screen because of that narrow beam.
I'm a kayak angler if I'm fishing anything 15' & less I mostly use perspective mode with lvs34. I use Fishing Specialties pole & their transducer mount. It allows me to adjust the angle of the transducer for different depths. Much better than factory Garmin mount.
I guess I’m confused, maybe it depends on our definition of shallow. To me scout mode is for shallow water, I’m thinking 5 or 6’ deep. If fishing like that I can’t see why you would need two set ups. If you’re in deeper water you won’t see fish under the beam as it’s quite, well shallow 🤷♂️.
Is it possible to run 2 Garmins similar to the new setups on Active 2? Looking at upgrading my front units and have been stuck which direction to go. I think it would be nice to get both views

Another EXCELLENTLY explanation. Y'all go to ALOT of trouble to show all this & IT IS MUCH APPRECIATED
Thank you for the feedback!
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve referenced this video! Thanks for the 3D demo! This is very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent video! Thanks for breaking it down!
No problem.
Excellent job gentlemen, greatly appreciate your time and effort to help us out ❤👏👏👏

Your presentation was excellent!
Thanks, I appreciate it.
Thanks guys for sharing your knowledge.

What is your thoughts on the fish obsessed mount making perspective more usable in deeper water?
Really nice video guys
Is it possible to run an LVS 34 and an Active Target 2 mounted on the same trolling motor running simultaneously?
Yep
Without interference?

How shallow can use it. Thanks for the info
I have a Carbon and a Pro on the bow. I also have one AT2. Can I add a first generation Active Target and run it simultaneously with the AT2?
Yes!
If using 2 transducers one for forward and one for perspective, how much do they interfere with each other?
They don't
