The book of Thomas contains a quote from Jesus that says, " The kingdom of heaven is within you and all around you. It is not in buildings made of wood and stone. Split a piece of wood and you will find me. Lift a stone and I am there." The reason the Catholic Church took this out is because it denounced churches and said that you don't have to go to church to find the kingdom of heaven; it's already in you .
And yet to be a true Christian you should go to Church do all your church duties and don't be lazy. Once the split happened, they tried to play it big but they are so corrupted, they will convince their own that they are the true church, Really that is why their churches are closed and Orthodox fights to keep their people in their faith. So sad. no one fasts anymore no one does their duties and they will pay for it!!!!!! All I know is that the Catholic Bible has Seven Books that are not included in the King James Version of the Holy Bible. The King James Version is very popular with Sectoral Churches that have blossomed all over the world...many having sprung from the USA. Enoch was never part of the Apocrypha, but more than that, none of these books, including the ones they mention, were actually removed from the Bible. There are references to Enoch in the New Testament so NT scholars have looked at the book for years. None of this is secret or hidden. Check out the TH-cam channel or website of Dr. Michael S. Heiser for more info on Enoch, for instance.

The Book of Enoch directly contradicts the creation theory and the timeline of human history. It's not a secret now, but it was 1000 years ago. When the video starts out with verifiably wrong info about the Catholic bible, it doesn't lend a lot of credibility to the rest of the video lol. You can literally open a Catholic bible today and see that many of the books mentioned here are in fact still there. It was Martin Luther who removed books from the Bible he didn't like because they weren't written in Hebrew, and also maybe because it was more in line with his version of Christianity.

@@ninarose1808 if the Jews didn't have it, the Catholics didn't have it. If the Jews had had it it would have ended up being in the King James Bible. The KJV writers took their version the Old Testament directly from the Jewish books. When the Jews decided to determine what was official cannon and what wasn't, one of the criteria was that the books had to be written originally in Hebrew. Those books like Maccabees and Tobit were originally written in Greek. The Jews still consider them to be holy books. In his letters Paul quoted from some of the books that are considered the apocrypha.
I have a friend who has 3 different Bibles from 3 different times. 2001, 2010, and 2018. The same book, chapter, and verse in all 3 are all different. Think about that.
The Apostle John finished the Canon with the book of Revelation in 94-95 AD, every other book was already circulating in the church written by Paul, Peter Jude, James, Matthew Mark Luke and John to the Church and the Apocrypha has Nothing to do with with the New Testament but are books written concerning Jewish history well after Alexander the Great. The current Catholic Bible currently has 73 books in it. Tobit, Wisdom, 1 and 2 Macabees, and the others mentioned are still in the Catholic Bible. Our Mass readings at times come from these books. It was the Protestant churches that removed the Apocrypha, not the Catholic church. You need to get your facts straight!

Protestants are the ones who stopped printing the Apocrypha in their bibles and a quick search says that happened in 1885. The explanation as to why is because those 14 books are not included in the Jewish Bible. The Bible also was not translated from Latin into English in 1611. You're thinking of the King James Bible which was translated from Greek and Hebrew in 1611. Jesus was never pronounced Eye-eesus. Archaic English spelling had interchangeable J's and I's so his name was spelled as Iesus, but the pronunciation was the same.

I totally agree. People need to do there own research. And dig past the first site they come to. I have already researched the lady that jumped on the pope. The Catholic Church did not remove these books. They are included in the Catholic and Orthodox scriptures and were in the 1611 King James Bible. These books were removed during the Protestant Reformation because these books were not included in the Hebrew Scriptures. They were included in the Greek Old Testament which is known as the Septuagint (LXX).
The Catholics don't preach Revelations so there's one book that's missing out of the Catholic Bible at least but the King James version is 100% right. Everything that's in there was supposed to be there. What's not in there It was never meant to be in there simple as that

I’m 2 minutes in and already it’s incorrect. Martin Luther removed several books from the bible. Protestants don’t have Maccabees, for example, because it mentions something related to indulgences. Any book that might contain information on purgatory were also removed. Anything Luther didn’t like, he removed.

Yes in the first minute of this video, I knew it was ridiculous crud. A century after the reformation began King James chartered the AV (authorized version) published in 1611. It had three sections Old Testament, Apocrypha, New Testament. The KJV most people know today (thinking it original) is an Oxford revision in 1769 that updated the English and removed the Apocrypha section completely leaving 39. The Jewish Masoretic Holy Scripture (Old Testament) has 40. The Catholic Douay-Rheems English Bible from 1608 has the Apocryphal books still mixed in with the Old Testament 46 books. Eastern orthodox have more Ethiopian orthodox have more (including Enoch) Scholars in the 1600s era were starting to agree with the rabbis as to the Apocryphal books being less than scripture. Seeing them as more like as we know Dante, Milton or Ben Hur to be spin off dramatic literature. Some differences in count are also how some editions combine or split up books in modern chaptering. Remember they were originally scrolls with no chapters or verse numbers. Then they presenter got into space aliens...so OK...sensationalist crud

One of the very books in dispute points this out, that there were no prophets in Israel at the time of Maccabees. Secondly, they were not recognized scripture by the Jews whom Paul and Jesus said were the ones who were responsible for giving us the Old Testament scriptures. Third, Jesus refers to the beginning to the end of Scriptures indirectly by listing the Martyrs from Abel to Zecharia. This spans a time period that excludes Martyrs mentioned in the apocrypha. And the Catholic Church DOES include the apocrypha in scripture because the Protestants decided to exclude them for the reasons given and the apocrypha gives some support to the Catholics in some of their doctrinal disagreements with protestants. With that level of hogwash, I did not even bother to finish this video.

modern scholars agree that the New Testament was written in Koine Greek. There may have been an Aramaic source for some of it but we have nothing written in Aramaic. The Nag Hamadi Gnostic Gospels found in 1947 were written in Coptic. I’ve been studying this for over 50 years and have never heard of a Hebrew or Aramaic New Testament book. I would be fascinated to read your sources.

Just try studying four things: The background to all Scripture (Jewish tradition and theology), Early Christianity (The Church Fathers) and the History of numerous Catholic Saints and you'll see the truth. All I know is that the Catholic Bible has Seven Books that are not included in the King James Version of the Holy Bible. The King James Version is very popular with Sectoral Churches that have blossomed all over the world...many having sprung from the USA. When the video starts out with verifiably wrong info about the Catholic bible, it doesn't lend a lot of credibility to the rest of the video lol. You can literally open a Catholic bible today and see that many of the books mentioned here are in fact still there. It was Martin Luther who removed books from the Bible he didn't like because they weren't written in Hebrew, and also maybe because it was more in line with his version of Christianity.
The Catholic church HAS, however, held councils at which it was decided which books to keep and which to reject.

The KJV writers took their version the Old Testament directly from the Jewish books. When the Jews decided to determine what was official cannon and what wasn't, one of the criteria was that the books had to be written originally in Hebrew. Those books like Maccabees and Tobit were originally written in Greek. The Jews still consider them to be holy books.
In his letters Paul quoted from some of the books that are considered the apocrypha.

The Catholic Church did not remove these books. They are included in the Catholic and Orthodox scriptures and were in the 1611 King James Bible. These books were removed during the Protestant Reformation because these books were not included in the Hebrew Scriptures. They were included in the Greek Old Testament which is known as the Septuagint (LXX).

I’m 2 minutes in and already it’s incorrect. Martin Luther removed several books from the bible. Protestants don’t have Maccabees, for example, because it mentions something related to indulgences. Any book that might contain information on purgatory were also removed. Anything Luther didn’t like, he removed.
It makes me think a narrator with a smart sounding accent can give factually wrong information, urban legends, and conspiracy theories an air of legitimacy.
Yet there is nothing as Purgatory. Bible clearly says " After death, judgement ". No repentance after death.

As a Catholic we have some extra books in our bible called Deutrocanonical Books.

Yes in the first minute of this video, I knew it was ridiculous crud. A century after the reformation began King James chartered the AV (authorized version) published in 1611. It had three sections Old Testament, Apocrypha, New Testament. The KJV most people know today (thinking it original) is an Oxford revision in 1769 that updated the English and removed the Apocrypha section completely leaving 39.
The Jewish Masoretic Holy Scripture (Old Testament) has 40.
The Catholic Douay-Rheems English Bible from 1608 has the Apocryphal books still mixed in with the Old Testament 46 books.
Eastern orthodox have more
Ethiopian orthodox have more (including Enoch)
Scholars in the 1600s era were starting to agree with the rabbis as to the Apocryphal books being less than scripture. Seeing them as more like as we know Dante, Milton or Ben Hur to be spin off dramatic literature.
Some differences in count are also how some editions combine or split up books in modern chaptering. Remember they were originally scrolls with no chapters or verse numbers.

1st point is absolute B.S. and lack basic knowledge of the Catholic Church and the controversy with the protestant church over these books. We know why those books were not considered cannon originally, because they were written in the intertestamental period when God said in the scriptures that he would go silent until Elijah came to announce the Messiah (the Messiah Jesus who said that John the Baptist was in the role of Elijah). One of the very books in dispute points this out, that there were no prophets in Israel at the time of Maccabees. Secondly, they were not recognized scripture by the Jews whom Paul and Jesus said were the ones who were responsible for giving us the Old Testament scriptures. Third, Jesus refers to the beginning to the end of Scriptures indirectly by listing the Martyrs from Abel to Zecharia. This spans a time period that excludes Martyrs mentioned in the apocrypha.
And the Catholic Church DOES include the apocrypha in scripture because the Protestants decided to exclude them for the reasons given and the apocrypha gives some support to the Catholics in some of their doctrinal disagreements with protestants.

It was actually Luther who first removed the Apocrypha from the OT he originally also removed 7 NT books including James and Revelation as they were too Catholic for him. He was forced to put the NT books back in by his fellow Protestants. Because the format we have today either the Protestant 66 or Catholic 73 book Canon is a modern rendition, there are books that were included in the list on the video which are incorporated into the books accepted by the Catholic Church rather than stand-alone separate books, survive today with the first part written in Hebrew, with the final chapters in Aramaic So even though they were deleted by Protestants after they had included them for a couple centuries in a separate section, some complete books were broken down by poor scholarship into different books.
modern scholars agree that the New Testament was written in Koine Greek. There may have been an Aramaic source for some of it but we have nothing written in Aramaic. The Nag Hamadi Gnostic Gospels found in 1947 were written in Coptic. I’ve been studying this for over 50 years and have never heard of a Hebrew or Aramaic New Testament book. I would be fascinated to read your sources.

I remember watching something before about the ancient Egypt and how they were able to produce electricity. Also the shape of the pyramids had something to do with it. It's interesting that completely different civilisations had so many things in common, despite no contact at the time.

The pyramids were built by the Nephilim and were either an energy source or a way of communicating with the gods in my opinion. The Nephilim were giants who were Angel/human hybrids created by the Sons of God breeding with Earth women (this according to the book of Enoch). They most likely built Atlantis (the Garden of Eden) as well but became too powerful and corrupt so the Almighty destroyed them with the great flood spoken about in many different cultures
