SEED or SEED Destiny? Forbidden is mentioned in Destiny, but officially appears in SEED episode 38.
Glad to know that there is good third party kits. Mechanicore kits can give you a migraine and a rash just by looking at them

My local gunpla dealer could get them i asked him if it would be something for me,he said you'd kill me if i sold you one 😂😂😂 so yeah horror kits apparantly

My issue with mechanical is while they are impressive they're a cluster fuck of details in a headache of an assembly. I built one and while the end result is very impressive I hated the experience the entire fucking way
They always need a competitor to keep up the quality,
Especially the disappointing "Premium" Bandai that's mostly just lazy effort
Is it really a competitor if this is $150+? What makes Bandai so good is having low prices compared to other brands like kotobukiya, this isn't really competing with anything Bandai has and is pretty expensive. The model is cool as hell but it ain't killing Bandai anytime soon.
@@3xasfast811 the thing is that this originally had a low price, but since there is now fewer and fewer units and the fact that it is popular is what makes it $150+. It was originally, from where i live $50-60 only i think

dude the grandaddy gundam looks like the third party kit when placed beside the judge
Came back here to compare the difference of the Judge Moonlight version.. It quite improved from the original Judge as first, the yellow parts are now Gold parts, the minor fitting issues are now addressed and they added another metal handle for the scythe on the new Judge Moonlight Version.. Solid kit as is..
Oh! So that's why the kit that I bought has two metal handles.

Hmm, thought it was a recolor with a slightly different look, but good to know they improved upon the original release. Probably should have started building the original instead of the moonlight ver. Oh well.

You should do a top twenty “test of time” and show us how some of your more worrisome builds have held up. Most curious how this one (the judge) and the Eva units hold up after so long.
Every single cent spent on this Made in China thing helps the tyrinical Chinese Communazi Party develop more deadly virus such as COVID19. Also, you don't know what kind of toxic plastic and paint they used in this toy, so I recommend all of you throw away this copycat ASAP. A whistleblower also revealed that the Communazi used all prisoners in the country as slave labor, who knows if this model kit came out from one of these slave factory.

I'm glad that this Kit is catching up in the West. As far as I know it's been released here in Asia Pacific late last year. My friend even got it back in Feb. That kit is so hard to acquire, I even hired a Middle man to scout potential sellers here.
With this quality, we should now recall the good old Kaiki Deishu monologues
It's wild that this thing is "based on" the Forbidden Gundam. If we're stretching that much, the Nu Gundam is basically an RX-78. Qanta is basically just Exia. It's a totally different beast.

I was really impressed with this kit myself. Unfortunately, Zero Gravity’s next project is an action figure. Hopefully, with the success of this kit, they’ll make another model.

Dragon Momoko gave us Testament before Bandai did. Dragon Momoko also gave us Astray Out Frame, which is still one of my favorite MS look wise, and Bandai hasn't.

After watching this, the intro was an event itself. And since you mentioned GMC, I now see why you might have asked about the DM Deathscythe TV. I can't recommend the site enough, especially for prices.
And someone else FINALLY used the clear green for the vents. All the pics are of grey, so I went with green and they look so cool.

It does look great, but dang Mecha, you're real happy to say it's solid as a rock while describing all the ways it falls apart, can break, and fails to hold a pose
I think my one thing I'd want to see is a 6 months later/year later, see if it possibly has any the sagging issues other gunpla-type sets can have.

I really love the overall design and look of this mecha, but I am put off by apparent quality control issues and design flaws, such as the hip joint mixing die-cast, and plastic. That's a big NO for action figures/model kits.
Considering these go for $200 PLUS now, I’m on the fence. If they were still closer to $90-$120, I’d be more inclined. Hard for me to pull the trigger on something that costs more than 4 MG’s and the first thing I see in the sales description is “NECK JOINT IS FRAGILE AND CAN SOMETIMES ARRIVE ALREADY BROKEN IN THE BOX - DO NOT ORDER IF THIS IS A PROBLEM FOR YOU”. $200 for a potentially broken kit right out of the box? I’ll pass and pick up 5 Bandai MG kits personally.
Humanity can create very, very wonderful and sturdy things.
Bandai has refined a cost-benefit process of giving you 'good enough' for low enough a price. If you haven't noticed, everything is made with planned obsolescence, especially stuff like clothes, electronics and vehicles. That's why this is so much better.
This is like when fans are not satisfied with what Bandai gives them, so they make their own.

You can tighten the lower waist joint by tightening the 2 screws around the ball joint there.
You can loosen the hip shifting mechanism by loosening the screws in the hip
oddly enough the HiRM line is partially manufactured in China by Bandai's branch over there especially the inner-frame, also took me time to realize there is no official 1/100 Forbidden Gundam kit or figure.

One of the nice things about this figure is that it's less likely to get hit with a copyright strike. Yes, it's BASED on the forbidden gundam, but that's all that is. A base. So many aspects of the design were changed. The armour, the backpack, the weapons, the head, and the colour. I'm sure there's even more. Because of this, BANDAI can't claim that this figure is a copy of the forbidden gundam, as there are too many differences to call them the same.
Plus, the instructions don't even tell you how to put on the Gundam V-fins on the head.

whatever it is, I'm all for it. the design is wicked. This is why I appreciate third parties, most of the time, they look more menacing.. something like a resin kit would achieve with it's conversions.
What are you talking about? The shoulder , arms, torso, knee armors are copied from the metalbuild strike freedom. Something obviously you are not aware of. And the design itself is a representation of a Gundam. Clearly you don't know what you're talking about. This is nothing but a bootleg
@@rogueagent0191 The shoulder, arms, torso and knee armor has some similarities but are also very different from MB SF. I know because I have the MB SF.

A trick I learned to help the Nu Gundam ver ka. stand on it's own is to use the stand arm it came with without the base and a single funnel attachment to hold up the wing. It doesn't help the kit being so back and left heavy but at least it prevents the funnels from drooping. I took it a step further so that if I have my Nu Gundam in a standing pose I do that and also use an adapter I 3d printed to keep the whole mobile suit standing straight.

This thing is a beauty; and yeah I can confirm HMM Zoids are event kits; I’ve built three and they were all the longest builds I’ve done and you will need some extra effort on some parts
The first one I got (Liger Zero) took me almost 10 hours to finish...and I did it all in one sitting 😆 also the Panzer armor alone took me like 3 hours.
If there was a regular mastergrade of this guy with this same exact design i would have bought it already not even 10 seconds into the video he looks so bad ass
Just got a re-issued version of this kit. They now make both of the scythe handles with die-cast and the two scythes are complete set. No more missing parts. Did not finish the build yet but the kit looks great so far. One issue they didn’t address tho was the hip joint. It’s still a ball joint. It seems tight but I’m not sure how well it will hold up against that giant backpack.
@Mecha Gaikotsu do you know where i could purchase the skirt piece for the metal frame? Mine is missing one of the skirt pieces so when i build the kit i wont be able to attach one of the skirt pieces.
I pre-ordered one from usa gundam and it took 4 months to get to me. A fucking lolvely kit and once painted, so many details
GMC and USA Gundam have the same supplier. Except GMC gets them first in China and ship to USA using DHL e-packet. It takes about 2 weeks at most.

Is it compatible with bandai parts (as many of thwir model kits are) or do you need to put in extra effort if you want to modify it with bandai parts?
At least Bandai has the Multicolored runners. I'm guessing they are the only company that uses this technology.
Bandai is the only company which has a market big enough for them to sustain the use of the multi color injection molding machine. (and they are the only one who uses not two, not three, but four coloured injection molding machine)

You should review more third party kits. not necessarily the bootleg ones of course, but some hidden gems like the A.T.K girls and the recent Megaman Zero third party ones from Dimension Studios
ATK girls are nice. The closest we have to actual MS Girls.

I just got into building model kits a few months ago cuz of the Xenoblade 2 Siren model. Got a few gunpla kits as well as the Moonlight version of this thing and it's easily my favorite so far. I've never even watched any gundam until just now getting into the witch from mercury so I legit didn't even realize for a while that it wasn't even a real gundam. It just felt so quality that I never questioned it. One really bizarre thing that happened with mine tho is several of the runners when I was opening it all had dog hairs with them inside the sealed plastic packaging. Like how does that even happen? And it wasn't just like 1 or 2 of them, it was like at least 5. Besides that, the moonlight version is particularly gorgeous. The shade of yellow on the default kit looks a bit out of place so them swapping it for gold instead was a HUGE improvement. The gold does so much for it. 10/10 model.
I snagged the first run of this kit for $60 USD off Taobao when it first dropped. Great bang for buck.
You can still get it for $80 or $90 USD off Taobao right now. (but because shipping is stopped so all overseas orders are not accepted, sad face)
Nice to see mecha has finally dropped being a "Bandai purist" to get this badass kit. Now that he has had a taste of third party, wonder if he'll consider the SuperNova Wing Kits in the future 🤔

I really want this but I like to do shoots with my gunpla alot so there's a lot of frequent posing to be done, so is this kit not going to be to handle that over a long period of time?

They still do actually. Also, MSV are traditionally made by official sources themselves.
@@StrikeNoir105E Actually, the very first MSVs are fan made and after that Sunrise saw an opportunity and thus started releasing MSVs themselves.(this is under the context of the early 1980s where Zeta is not out yet and Sunrise needed something to continue the Gunpla rush)

A lot of Dragon Momoko kits are bootlegs or Bandai's model kits or metal build, except for their Testament and Astray Out Frame, which are now super hard to find, and both of which, I have.

@@Lucivius27 Depends on which kit though. Daban's Metal Build style Astray Red Frame is quite good. Actually, most of later Daban kits are quite good.
I’ve got the DM Tallgeese III, and it’s visually very amazing, but man is that thing FRAGILE

For it to be a bootleg, it must be a copy of something. But this is designed from the ground up with some inspirations from Forbidden Gundam. So, you can't really call it a bootleg.
