I am a proud owner of a hemi orange srt8. It is defenately no thing close in power like the hellcats and demons. But hving a retro style car with an N/A engine and an Outlaw exhaust from Flowmaster makes the 6.1 Hemi screeeeeam. I love this car, as I always have. Thanks Dodge for giving us all these beauties for the past 16 years.
I believe all of the 08's were simply the first few produced and delivered to dealers first that fall, then they just simply became 09's in Dec or Jan 09'' as cars ordered reached dealers.
... absolutely agree with you, this one looks much better then the original challenger and also then the ones which were made after this in 2015 and later on ❤❤
SRT 8 has pretty much has the same power numbers as the old school 426 Hemi that engine also got put into the 300c chrysler Srt8 I do agree the value of these cars will go up as thay we're the first srt8 by SRT division wich is finished now the challinger came with 5 speed automatic an 6 speed manual the 300c crysler only came with 5 speed automatic if you super charged them your still getting the hell cat numbers fantastic car ill be keeping mine
same horsepower number but lower torque number-the difference being new cars net hp/tq numbers instead of gross hp/tq numbers. changed in 1973 model year. i have a 2009 srt8 challenger, hemi orange as of 5-16-24 i have 20,300 original miles on mine...in good condition-i get thumbs up all the time.
That's why their is Mods for 6.1HEMI it's not dead just sleeping.! My 2008 SRT8 was upgraded to Kenne Bell Mammoth 4.5L Super charged with others not mention gets up 700+whp. I had to replace rear 305 w/ 315 so it don't spin out awhile driving.
You must have wide aftermarket rims on the rear to hold 305s or 315s. Factory Alcoa rims are 20x9. Largest (fattest) tire you can safely fit on the 9-inch rim is a 275. Step up to a 285 size and minimum rim width jumps to 9.5. I am not saying you can't fit the tire on stock rims, but it would just be unsafe and have terrible sidewall bulge. Let me know your set-up. Looking to go twin-turbo set-up on my 2009 6.1 Challenger but gonna limit rear tire size to 275. Would love to have 10.5 inch factory replica rims so I could stick 305s or 315s on them--lol.
The scat packs are just so much better. These are cool but unless you’re going to super charge it I don’t understand the projection in people wanting this one. They’ll just go for the first scat no?
...what r u saying pal !! This is one of the most beautiful sport cars ever made❤️, power is also amazing, the only issue with this beauty is it's massive weight and nothing else, Dodge should have done something about reducing the weight.
Imagine calling a car with a 4.7 0 to 60 time and a top speed of 170 mph slow 😂😂😂 also, I'm sure this '08 Challenger SRT-8 looks way better than what you drive.

@@miseryparty3726 yer garbage lol
I never knew that the only available 2008 Challenger was the 6.1L SRT8. No R/T or V6 until 2009.

Love it

No issues with leaks, old fluids, etc. ?

This didn't age well. Mine lost a grand in value in 2 months with no additional miles.
I have 0007/6400
nobody cares about a slow dodge. not only is it slow but it looks hideous 😂 interior is garbage too.
