I’m in the US and I started watching your videos during lockdown during COVID. I found the topic so interesting, but you also have a beautiful singing voice. And I also love hearing about music and singing instruction. I’ve been subscribed for over three years now and I still love watching these videos. Thank you!
A machine - gun can kill, a hot fire can burn;

Thank your this video. Do you recommend morning practice vs evening if there’s an option? I ask from a vocal chord flexibility
I would definitely recommend morning as the voice is most fresh and relaxed at that time. Any warmup that we do then is more effective and takes our voice to an active state which helps throughout the day. Warming up in the evening could be unpredictable as the voice may already be tired due to the usage through the day. So if you have the choice, try mornings 😊
Voxguru is An opened door of my musical life
Thank you mam for the wonderful video. 😊😊 I just had a small question. Are there any food items that singers are not supposed to take, which might damage the vocals? It would be really helpful if you could give some suggestions on this.
It actually varies from person to person. In general anything that causes you dryness in throat, irritation or phlegm can be avoided.
@@VoxGuru Thank you mam for your suggestion.
Hi mam.I have a question regarding light music. Is it alright to sing a song in the original pitch that is up to our vocal range. For example the song aasai mugam maranthupoche by suchithra ,an album song it is in pitch G.It is up to my vocal range,so can i sing any song in the original sruthi. Please clarify this query it would be more helpful.Thank you
If it is within your range, yes you can sing it in the original shruti.
Thankyou so much mam ❤❤❤
Could you please tell where we can get the music moods notebook
Oops, sorry that was a limited set of notebooks that we had launched a few years ago. We will definitely let you know if we launch it again 😊

Can you please make a video that how can we practise alankars.......that will really help me
There are plenty of Alankarams that you can practice. There are many exercises on this channel but if you are looking for a more systematic series of exercises feel free to explore the alankarams course or Hindustani basics course on the voxguru app. Sharing the download links below.

I agree 👍but I need a systematic alankaras video ....I am learning hindustani sangeet so I need to practise those alankaras in each 10 thatas .... so please make a video on advanced alankars practice .....
Is it compulsory to join a music class? I do regular practice/riyaz for 1 hour from youtube. Is that enough?
I still attend music classes regularly and it greatly benefits me in progressing from one level to next. Purely learning from TH-cam may be okay for a warmup, but not give you that systematic progression and improve your singing skills beyond a certain point. Also important is the feedback from a teacher on what mistakes you might be making so that you are learning on the right track.
Actually I don't know the mean of "notes" in singing .😅
Can anyone tell me the meaning of this word?
Please🙏🙏
A note is the simplest unit of music which has a particular pitch or frequency. Combining different notes together creates a tune.
Class ponadhan nama endha level la irukom nu therunja mudiyum bt andha alavuku enta amount ilai sis ... Bt am il your self learning course
Self learning course is also a good place to start. You can try to grasp as much as possible and progress systematically.
A copper atom, a silver atom, and a gold atom walk into a night-club. The club
owner says, “' 'E you, get out of here.” Question #1: Who had to leave the club?
After the first atom left, a second one followed it. Question #2:
Who was the second atom - and what did it say when it was leaving?
The club owner says, “ 'E Ji, you can stay.” Question #3: Who was the third atom?
----------------------
Answer #1: The Gold Atom - because the owner said,
'E you = Au (Au = Aurum is the chemical name for Gold.)
Answer #2: The Copper Atom - and when it left, it said:
See you = Cu (Cu = Cuprum is chemical name for Copper.)
Answer #3: The Silver Atom - because, the owner said:
'E Ji = Ag (Ag = Argentum is the chemical name for Silver.)
.
Mam kindly make a video on what to practice during Riyaz for one who is an intermediate learner.
If a student is not learning from any guru amd just lightly practising, what to practice ?
If you are not learning from a live teacher and want to pursue music through self learning material, feel free to explore the voxguru app where we have systematic courses for all levels. It will be a more structured learning experience for you. Sharing the download links below.

Yes exactly the same ma'am. With high concentration I learnt sarali varisai in a week. But could not do so Jantai & thattu varisai ma'am. Your self learning course is so well prepared, just practicing everyday makes singing interesting. Concentration & observation and getting mistakes cleared by listeners improves ma'am.
That’s wonderful! Thank you for sharing 😊❤️
