Finally someone explained very well how to determine onespitch
Absolutely amazing!
I have been following Voxguru for over 2 years now. All learners of the theory and practice of classical (or semi classical Music) owe a huge debt of gratitude to Ms Pratibha Sarathy. I say that for the following reasons:
1. Her amazing depth and breadth of knowledge of the Indian classical music
2. Her mellifluous voice, and of course that of her 2 co-singers we see in the many youtube clips
3. The team of excellent teachers she has put together
4. Her ability to crisply explain the scientific underpinnings of classical music
5. Her powerful command of the language and vast vocabulary needed to clearly explain the fundamentals as well as advanced concepts of music. There are dozens of music teachers who have posted lessons (my thanks to them). In my opinion, no one else even comes close to the clarity and depth of explanation that Ms Sarathy provides through her video lessons.
6. Her excellent use of the technology and computer graphics to explain complex concepts which reinforces and accelerates learning
7. He willingness and eagerness to share her vast knowledge of music freely and put it in the public domain to anyone who wants to listen and learn.
I wish her decades more of successful singing and teaching career!

Superb ma'am 👍
Your super and easy understandable teaching prompted me to join your voice culture program. I have completed first round and pursuing the advanced curriculum. Thanks a lot and God bless you ❤
That’s so lovely! Glad to have you in the voxguru family 😊❤️
Thanks ma'am. You arranged one master class recently but unfortunately I couldn't get a chance to seek your guidance. I hope you will soon arrange some meeting like this .
Well, all your videos are best in terms of smooth explanation, for this particular video, if you were chosen the any Hindi song also, then it will be helpful for the people like us who like Tamil, but don't understand it thoroughly since it is not our mother tongue. So it is getting little bit difficult to match that interactiveness. For instance, from my point of view, if you were chosen Jiya Jale from Dil Se, that will be also helpful.Anyways, overall video and all other videos are at their best. You are really an epitome of how to be a good teacher for the music lovers.Kudos to you and your team!Thnx Pratibha Ma'am.
I will be getting your course someday❤

Mam I am a beginner. I use to do riyaz on harmonium only.
Please help 🙏🙏
Thanks 8
What a balanced tutorial 🎉🎉🎉can we register our pitch in our mind permanently
Remembering the absolute sound of a particular pitch is called having ‘perfect pitch’ which is a rare skill. Usually the skill we can more easily aspire for is to identify and place notes relative to a particular reference.
@@VoxGuruok thanks. I have noticed ‘perfect pitch’ in your voice can it be due to your proficiency in Karnataka music also.
Pitch for song tere hawale ?
If we play a harmonium is it OK. If we know the notes we can sing the song na. Very little I know
Mam, what about tujo mere sur me song?😊
I have been learning mucsic from your videos for a long time i practice hindustani classical , one major problem i face is with teevra ma and any teerva and komal swar , if there are any alankars to practice that it would be great❤❤
We have a detailed course on Komal and Teevra Swaras on the voxguru app. Please feel free to explore this and improve your understanding of these Swaras. Sharing the app download links below.

Ma'am I'm a male but my key is "F#" why?
♥️💚
How to overcome strain please
👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Hi there. So in A# I can sing in lower octave till re and higher octave till ni. Is my scale A# or do I need to change it?
You mean you have almost a 3 octave range? That’s great and yes it is balanced for general practice. Since you have such a good range, depending on the song you can choose to increase or decrease the scale based on the feel and frequency mix of the tune.
Sometimes my voice becomes strained after warm up practise. I select a Shruthi comfortable to me. Even then it is strained. Should I reduce the volume or timing? Pl put a video for this
Can you please make a video on how to increase our vocal range

Madam I am 67years. I wish to increase my voice culture. please suggest for seniors.
I'm 17! After neglecting to pursue singing as a career for years, I finally realised that I want to choose this path. So here I am, practising with you the first lesson to open voice. But I couldn't understand this one. Kindly guide me.
I neglected it because I thought I my voice was not perfect but now I've grown up and realised I should atleast give my best and I think if I work on my voice I'll be pretty good at singing.
If you are looking for a more structured and detailed learning, you are welcome to explore the voxguru app where we have full courses in music.
