Got it done but had a heck of a time plugging the tiny ribbon cables back in, thought for sure I was going to mess one up. Happy to report it worked out great and the mini 2 lives to fly another day.
I usually don't comment on much but I gotta for this. (DJI Mini 4k) Crashed into a tree and luckily it tumbled to the ground for me to collect. Tore the ribbon cable. Followed this vid step by step and my drones up and running again!!! 10/10 video

I pride myself of fixing things but this job is one I would pay to have done if I ever have to do it again.. you are the best thank you thank you
Thanks for the tutorial!! You helped me bring my mini 2 back to life after crashing it. After I replaced the ribbon cable I started the drone up, it had multiple error codes, I restarted the remote and drone, when switched both back on it worked exactly how it should. Thanks for the help again!!!

Well, hallalo ja :) - after about 3hrs (ribbon connection wires slightly bent on arrival!!!, tried and tried, ended bending them badly trying to get to locate, then pulled them all back again comparing with the original cable- it worked -50mins!!!) - My drone works, no errors IMU/GPS... - It works - Thank you for such a clear video, likewise saved my a good bit of money.
My cable was broken after a crash. Watched this video and bought me a new cable on aliexpress. 2 weeks later it arrived and installed the cable with this video on the pc. Took some time, but the drone works again! I installed it on a mini 1.
At 9:37, you show insertion of the ribbon cable incorrectly. It should be inserted so that the cable is facing down. You show the cable facing up. It's corrected by 9:41, but I recommend an annotation.
As per instructions here, I ordered the #1 Phillips screwdriver. Once I got the screwdriver I tried it in the screws and it does not fit. Won't even go into some of the holes in the body. Will not fit in the prop screws.

Hi is there any chance you would replace the ribbon in my mini 2 drone the drone works the camera just doesn’t go up and down and I can see the ribbon is broke and the places I can find to do the work want what I paid for the drone is this something I could get you to do please
My recommendation: gimbal assembly do AFTER every cable is attached to motherboard and MB in place. Cause I had difficulty to attach cable after I glued it before MB installation as on this video instruction.

After repairing it just as you show here, I still have the same problem. Replacing that cable didn't help. Any idea on how to repair Incompatible Gimbal Data?
Bro you put back in a pre bent cable. Show people the CORRECT way to bend their newly FLAT cable. That’s the only real difficult part of this repair :P
I’m having a problem where it says gimbal stuck. I tried about everything, it worked for a minute and then it jammed again recently. My only & last idea is to fix the issue with replacing this cable. If anyone else has this issue and has solved it let me know
But, yes yes yes, there's a big But, if you buy a new cable or gimbal, motor ect, then you need to calibrate the gimbal through your computer, an app that's called Python and it's a hassle to do it.

connectors glue could be very hard, I used a soldering iron at 210° C
Mini 1, SE and 2 ribbon cables are the same

no. It needs to be calibrated by technician. i cant find any software to calibrate it. i buy a new drone. hahaha. 😭😭😭

Just did this and there was no calibration required. Was basically plug and play.
This is only if ya replace the gimbal wire or gimbal itself, I think the ribbon cable is different. From my experience it's a hassle.
