      Ernesto Lube if you watch all these guys run they cheat. When the guy says set they all start going. If you go to a pro tryout and you get timed in the 60, do they let you go on your first move or do they hold their hand up and on go you go?

    • @jydenschmid7495
      @jydenschmid7495 6 ปีที่แล้ว +38

      No, they are told to go whenever they want to. The right lane is not in correlation with the left lane. You guys clearly have never been to a showcase before.

    • @takinglifebythelens
      @takinglifebythelens 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Each lane is individually timed and timer starts on players start NOT by some gun or "mark, set, go" command. I believe Quentin (purposefully)lined up against another fast player then let that player get 1/2 second start and then "chased" down the other player.

    • @takinglifebythelens
      @takinglifebythelens 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, hand-timed and BEST I get is 6.35--VERY good but not quite world class.

  • @johnnwako2488

    It's a 7.0 seconds hand timed (rounded up from 6.96 s), and from the moment the player moves!

    • @RCKola281

      They don’t do it off of first movement, there’s a sensor in front that picks up movement when you cross it. But you’re right, it’s definitely not that fast.

    I hope Quentin Holmes makes it. I'm a Queens NY guy too.
    What's funny about baseball players is that they lean in to their sprint as if they have to be ready to slide. If they would straighten like a competitive sprinter I wonder if they'd shave time off?

    • @SolitarySoldier
      @SolitarySoldier 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Keith Barbaro no thats not how you start. Youre supposed to have a forward lean at 45 degrees emphasizing acceleration. His form is great the way it is and his 60 is fast

    Sorry not legit. This kid is blazing fast! He ran Indoor Track and his fastest time in the 55m dash was 6.49 on the best track surface in sprint spikes. He isn’t going to cut .34 seconds off his track PR in baseball cleats and that surface. Basically with that time he would be racing against Colman in baseball cleats and turf and giving him a run for his money. The times just don’t add up. If you want to see his FAT times which are electronic times search his name on Athletic.net. Those are legit times not hand timed and legal distances. This kid is blazing fast and one of the top speed kids in the nation just not 6.15 fast. I don’t know if anyone is.
