    If baseball doesn't work out for him then he has a future as a broadcaster! You don't often see kids who are this comfortable in front of the camera at events like this.

      He should run track if it doesn't work out. 5.96 is crazy. 60yd dash is 55m, and the 55m world record is 5.99s

    That was awesome! My son just did his first 60 yrd dash... and I was looking for tips on how to approach it and how to get faster! This kid is great.

    Flexibility actually makes you slower. Sprinters are tight. Think of a spring...it's most powerful when it's pressed down (tight), not when it's stretched out. Yes, you may get injured (like sprinters do), but tightness is key. This is why runners don't spend a lot of time doing static stretching. They do more dynamic.

    A 5.96 60 yard dash equates to a 3.63 40 yard dash for you fellow football guys FYI...absolute insanity

    • @jayheardfit
      @jayheardfit 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      no bc you’re still picking up speed in a 40 yard dash and a 60 yard dash in baseball doesn’t add reaction time. a 3.63 40 isn’t possible. christian coleman is one of the best starters ever he ran a 4.12 40. maybe bolt could have gone 3.9 but this dude aint going 3.6

    • @jabarin3917
      @jabarin3917 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jayheardfit I was just converting the time it takes to run a 60 to a 40, but yeah a 3.6 literally sounds impossible haha. Still a 5.96 60 yard dash is more impressive in my eyes

    • @sivik9105
      @sivik9105 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      normally your 60 time becomes shorter the older you get, so if he’s slow now there shouldn’t be much to worry about. he’s also 8, he’s got so much time ahead of him so it’s a little dependent on how he grows as well

    So in spikes out of blocks in a track meet he ran a 6.22 pr for 60y but you want people to believe that he did a standing sideways start in a quarter of a second faster than his fastest ever sprint? Yeah, I’m baseball gear and this start he casually break Obadele Thompson’s 55m world record haha. Like, if you’re gonna lie at least make it believable.

    • @michaelhilbe2991
      @michaelhilbe2991 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh shit, you said 5.59! I thought it was 5.95 when I first was it! Haha, so now he’s 3/4 of a second faster than himself in a track meet and 0.4 seconds faster than Thompson’s world record. Hahaha

    • @KingBurns2006
      @KingBurns2006 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Track doesn't do yards, they do meters. So it's not a 60 yard 6.22 pr vs a 5.96 pr. It's a 60 meters 6.22 pr vs a 5.96 60 yard pr. So you're not confused again 60 yards is 180 feet while 60 meters is about 196 feet. So yes this time is believable and your math was just wrong. These times match up if you look at the correct distances.
      180 feet in 5.96 seconds and 196 feet in 6.22 seconds. Can't get any simpler.
