@@aqualectric-gi2ln Don't be afraid of making videos longer and more technical. According to some youtubers that explore and sometimes do boat refits, they get more views in their refit videos than their regular traveling/sailing content. So more details/interviews on different technologies will probably be well received.
Some great electric power thinking. BUT there’s a key area you shouldn’t forget. That’s the fact that the materials these new cleaner greener boats all need to consider beyond the propulsion, that’s the materials they use in their construction… carbon fibre is very Hydrocarbon based, polluting and expensive. There are manufacturers already experimenting and building their boats from greener less polluting and recyclable materials like Flax, Basalt and organic based epoxy resins or recyclable thermo plastics. Any relatively flat bottomed boat can use an air bleed system to reduce friction with the water. The jet step goes back a long way with hydroplanes and also flying boats where getting unstuck on smooth water was often a major challenge. 🧙♂️Clive
I hope you can discover a comfortable mid-cabin cruisers that utilizes a semi-displacement hull to travel serious distance (1000nm at 10knts) or pick up the pace to avert a problem (300nm at ?knts) instead of the usual planing combustion boats. An elongated roof (no bimini needed) for solar panels would be smart. I love the comfort of a practical saxdor 320/400gtc but i don’t need the 40mph so i could cruise (a cabin cruiser because rain happens) to multiple fueling stations when vacationing for a week visiting coastal towns. That sounds perfect for mediterranean sea.
Good market insight, thanks! But audio was definitely a problem, and some products looked interesting, but were covered only in a split second and without commentary (e.g. Bluegame American Magic). Oh, and prettyplease, you were not in cunns. You were in Cannes.
I just subscribed because i think you’re in the right direction. I believe the future is a hybrid of solar and hydrogen for electric propulsion. There’s a prototype boat using it now, but mainstream combustion boating is becoming as extinct as the dinosaurs the fuel comes from. A boat exists on water and is generally in the sun, why not use the environment to power a boat …that’s using your brains. Ps i love the tyde icon but for all it’s modernity and even the foil technology it really needs to utilize seawater to do hydrogen propulsion.
Welcome to the channel Yanassi, glad to have you! Both Solar and Hydrogen have some very interesting possibilities with on board energy production and storage. There are some companies such as Elvene that has an operational boat with infinite range from solar panels at a low speed. Another company mad blue currently has an operational hydrogen powered electric boat. We're hoping to make some videos with them soon!
Exciting to see so much innovation
So many cool boats and great new technology. Thanks, Justin
Cool niche you found, well done. Don't be afraid of getting into sail/electric hybrid solutions as well. Subscribed.
@Rodrifuuu thanks very much for the sub! Yes there is some very cool electric tech in sail, and hope to have some videos out soon

Excellent video. It's nice to see some of the more miscellaneous exhibits. Great job sir ! ... 🇬🇧

Wow beautiful 😄

Great info. Work on your audio, tho
The Barbie cat.
You need a wireless mic
The one of the mics picks up too much ambient noise and wind.
Am I the only one that gets nervous with that much electric current potential near water?
Wasn't Silent-Yachts at that event?
Donate for a Dream
You can see Michael in his booth at 10:28.
Why are electric boats 20 years behind cars?..because theyre slow, impractical and waay over-priced..
