    It is the Schrodinger's cat of the jet boating world - low carbon and all carbon at the same time 😀

    I really want to see one of those ZeroJet systems on a jetski! I'm definitely going to have to look into this more!

      Bummer, they only work with new vessel builders with a minimum quantity of 20 units. Cool idea, but I'll have to look elsewhere for my project.

      That would an underpowered and over priced jet ski, my man.

    This is the stuff of my dreams. I had the idea that HamiltonJet were looking into this, but this implementation is fantastic.
    Hope you guys can find the capital to mass volume and get that carbonfiber more acessible

    jet propulsion is usually used my military where no fcuks are given about economicality /or any other aties beginning with eco..../ good for patrol boats and chasing stuff, but most of boats use the screw u propellers, hopefully with electric and electro hybrid solutions jet will become more popular, would love to see a jet propulsion on a greenline 48 or a silent yacht catamaran

    😢lots of complaints on price. Why not make a $5000 powersystem that is mass produced. A matched set a handyman could install into an older hull. I have a 16ft runabout that should plane easy at 20mph with 25-40hp. Look at homemade jet boats using jetski motors. Not hard to do. A matched battery, wiring, motor, etc one could install himself would sell. Or other boat manufacturers could make it an option.

    Thats pretty zippy. Not cheap but the lack of maintenance and fossil fuels would make it a must buy for your several million dollar yacht

    As a Vet below the poverty line it makes me sad to try and find something affordable to share with my family to get on the water and think you may have found something only to have your dreams dashed upon seeing the price shown on screen. I want to take my parents out on the water. My dad loved being on the water with Mom and his two sons, but he was recently told he has early onset dementia. If anyone can help me find something please don’t hesitate to point me in the right direction.

    They really need to add a roof the same shape as the boat, but covered in solar panels capable of charging the battery while you sit still fishing or it’s being towed behind your bigger boat/ship. Unless they think people like sunburn/skin cancer.

  • @NZVideoGuy
    @NZVideoGuy ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Seriously? Isn't this just virtue signalling? You spend years developing a small boat adding up all your Co2 output along the way, plus all the Co2 it took to produce the batteries, and end up with a tiny boat that can buzz around for 60 mins, what, once every 3 months? How can anyone sit in that thing and say with a straight face, "zero emissions"?
    Is this anything but fun and games for the wealthy?
    That's a no from me. 👎

    • @Zarphag
      @Zarphag ปีที่แล้ว +4

    • @EcotricityNZ
      @EcotricityNZ  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I love that you're also as concerned about carbon emissions as me. That's important. Yes, they are pretty spendy things, but you have to remember that even the Nissan Leaf was above $70k when it first arrived in New Zealand. Electric tech will always get cheaper in time. As for the machine's use case, it's a small tender, not a long haul vessel and there seems to be a market for them. But most of all? This thing is absolute FUN! I hope you can try it one day. -Gav
