    I got one of these brand new just under 2 months ago, so far I already have put a holosun 407K Green Dot and installed the entire Apex enhancement trigger kit with sear and Striker spring, and OMG did I fall in love with this gun haha. I'm already 12 boxes through it (600 rds), absolutely no jams, and after zeroing the dot in, this thing Snipes well past 30 yards. I can't believe I could be so accurate at that kind of distance with a 3-inch barreled handgun haha. I don't think I'll ever change my EDC again. Springfield Hellcat OSP FTW! 🙂
    Also for my holster and defensive ammo choices, I went with the Alien Gear shape-shift 4.0 which I absolutely love, and I always carry with Federal Premium HST 124g +P which is perfect for a handgun with such a short barrel.

    I've had mine for 8 months and I second everything. I have an OSP and I use the Holosun 407K Reflex red dot with a CHPWS adapter plate. Springfield must have fixed the trigger, mine's great, plus I have a friend that has an older Hellcat ask me if I upgraded it - it was better. I'm looking at kits to replace some of the plastic internals with stainless to increase their life expectancy, but otherwise a great little EDC.

    I use the 11 rd mag as a back up my 13 rd mag stays in it and since I carry appendix I have a side car and have the 15rd magazine in it. Even though the 11 rd mag supports my pinky I still like the better feel of the 13 rd and 15 rd mags.

      @@EasyTTactical, have you made/tried out the 17 round mag yet for the Hellcat? It works perfectly. You take the 13 round mag baseplate, plus the metal spring holder from the 13 round mag and put them on the bottom of the 15 round mag and add the sleeve extension back on. Then put the base plate from the 15 round mag on the 13 round mag. Done. Works like a charm.

    • @unknownunknown3025
      @unknownunknown3025 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No way, underwood 90grain extreme defenders. You can mag dump into 1 hole and they are way more reliable than any hollow point on the market. The amount of damage they cause is absolutely insane. Go pull up some videos and make the switch.

    • @boostimalaka1
      @boostimalaka1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@unknownunknown3025 I have seen the ballistic gel tests on those types of bullets. I however would wait on its actual real world performance. The Ruger AFX bullet was known to fail because of the material breaking during feeding. The Underwood ammunition has potential. I find recoil light in my 9mm Glock. It isn’t a hollowpoint, by design it’s the flutes that cause internal damage. My only concern is the lightweight bullet may not penetrate enough. This is why many Law Enforcement agencies want the heavy 124-147 grain loads to adequately penetrate heavy layered clothing. A good load used by the NYPD 124 grain +P Speer Gold Dot made news when a deranged white male was shot multiple times. He was wearing a Carhart Coat. A few rounds didn’t penetrate the layers of clothing he was wearing. A few speculated it was the ammunition not being loaded to spec to the extra layers that caused that to happen.

    • @unknownunknown3025
      @unknownunknown3025 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@boostimalaka1 the extreme defender has been out for about 5 or 6 years now. You're more likely to get over penetration than under. The shortest pentetration I've seen from ballistics tests was 16 inches. Which is about perfect. The point of impact seems to match the typical 124 grain jhp self defense ammo. I use it in my 380 as well now. Very impressive. I just find it more reliable and consistent than the jhp.

  • @jamesleeyoung9336
    @jamesleeyoung9336 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    +1 on 9.5 out of 10 rating! I love my Hellcat 9mm. I just ordered the Hogue grips for mine mainly because the textured grips are rough on my side during conceal carry. I also have a similar owb leather holster with a thumb break made locally.
    One thing I will say about the Hellcat is that the optics aren't for me. I added a Hex Wasp to mine and removed it shortly after. I personally get faster and more accurate target acquisition without the use of a micro red dot.

    • @brettyoung1659

      The Hex Wasp is a good red dot I heard, but shooting with a red dot on a pistol does take some getting use to, some people love it on a AR or carbine but can’t stand it on a pistol.

      @@robertsanchez8091 Is that the original trigger that failed you?

      EasyT Tactical yes the original. I put myself in stress situations(with complete empty gun) and it didn’t pull down all the way. I’m sorta discouraged on keeping my hellcat now

    ive never used red dot on handguns,seems to be catching on bigtime... How do you feel you can aquire the red dot on target faster than iron sights? To me i feel there would be a learning curve than again ive never used

      Hey Robert, thanks for checking out my channel. I felt the same way when I first used a red dot, now it seems as though I want it on every thing, even my shotguns. Once you practice and train with it, you can get on target just as fast as a fixed site. Just my opinion sometimes faster especially in low light visibility. But everybody is different. So people love it and some people not so much.

      @@bassdaze Yeah, I have a couple of glocks myself, but they are all full size pistols, but for my micro pistol I love my P365X for my everyday carry, but when I go exercising/jogging or walking I take my Hellcat because I already have a belt band holster for it.
