I purchased a new broken love seat... Took all of the stuffing out and was able to plump up my back cushions on my sofa and sectional, as well as my nieces sectional and a friend's couch back cushions.. best $49 I ever spent. I couldn't have bought that grade of stuffing at a fabric store or definitely not for that price. Made all of ours look like new.
Now that is a great hack! Yes the commercial stuffing is very different than what you buy. Many furniture retailers can also order you a bag of extra stuffing if you ever need it. But you saved that stuffing from a landfill so bonus points to you!
You can always put stiff foam on the back side of the cushion and then put your fluffy side to the front. That’s what I have done to mine. My couch cushions are detachable, but I believe you could still do that with a attack with an attached one.
Just like a jacket, you would need to determine what is broken and find an upholsterer. If you are in Saskatoon area we can give you a couple referrals.
I never knew this, thank you!!
