Hi Andy, a few pans like this on a mini camping trip out for a few days leads to quite a few specs in the pan when you put it all together. I just wish I had more time to keep going back to the river these days.
Cheers Tazy T. It's not a bad little section this spot. We had our clocks go back last week and it's going pitch dark by 5pm the day light breaks at about 7am so I guess it's time for us Brits to push on through the winter months buddy. Enjoy your spring and summer and keep the camp vids coming too 👍
@ we just flipped the time longer too so once im done planting this seasons crop its game on mate got new shed built christened it with my 50th and got a new bike to mod itll be a giggle mate camping and prospecting here we come aye
Great result Daz and another good video. I got those heavy blonde sands too in Scotland, and it took me by surprise. I guess every area is different and we add it to our experience as we go. :o)
Yes you are spot on there SGP, every trip to the river broadens our knowledge and adds to our experience I wasn't sure which way this video was going to go when I started to look at al the clips. It was also some time ago and it's easy to forget what actually happened 👍
Hi Daz if I need to relax I just watch one of your videos, I don't think the hole was deep enough, The camera under water clip was interesting watching the movement of the water😊
It would have been great to spend 3 days or so in this hole and see what was really there but that's the thing with gold panning. I always find myself never having the time to really do this. And yes, Old Guy, the under water shots are always nice to film and to see what is actually going on under the surface. Hope you are well and giving the Orbea a good run for it's money buddy. You need to invite me on a ride up your way. I'd love to have a potter about with you and see some of them cracking back lanes you often take us all on.
This sluice seems to capture the gold right through all of the riffles. I think I have a video to show how much gold lies in the sections right through towards the last few riffles buddy
Yes, let's get through the winter and see how things look when spring is upon us. BTW, who's that person commenting about Mines Royal and all of that nonsense. I am a believer in freedom of speech but they don't seem to want to put their face in front of a camera on their own channel
Nice video Daz and a fine showing of gold. I like the black pan you're using. My gears packed away for Winter but keeping fit with the bike and weights ready for the next season of gold hunting!👍😃
Hi Ian, I like your enthusiasm, we have to get through the next few months of darker nights and then before we know it, the birds will be singing again as we pass by the winter solstice. I will be cycling through the winter months too and burning the calories off. It's all I know....👍
Hi Daz from AUS, I live not far from Warwick Qld and can find gold reliably, but the creeks don't have water very often, that crystal clear stream makes me jealous. Put the soggy camera in a plastic bag and fill it with rice, it will draw the water out.
Hi Michael, over here it tends to rain quite a lot and the rivers can cause a lot of erosion in a short space of time, they are rarely super low though. As for my 2nd camera, it fell over and was submerged for a few seconds before I picked it up. It soon dried out back at my base after a few hours in front of a fan heater. I've used the rice hack before and it does work. The cameras get abused when out on these trips and over the years I have gone through quite a few. Wishing you Heavy pans my friend 👍
Really enjoy your videos. Id love to chat with you about some good places i know. I love Scotland and up there often. If you can think of a way to secure message ya let me know. Nice one 👍
Hi Michael, I'm kind of a bit private, if you know what I mean but if you find a video on my channel that is way back in my collection from many moons ago, and then leave a comment, I can reply to you and then delete it having replied to you, if that makes sense my friend
Yes you are dead right my friend. I have a few more gold videos to edit and then that's it for the season. I hope to making some more cycling videos very soon. I'm still getting out and the milage is creeping up ! I did 290 miles last week and have been hitting over 250 for the last month or two. Did a cracking route last weekend through the Bowland fells into The Dales and likewise another over to Bolton Abbey. I might break through the 300 mile barrier this week if the weather plays it's part. If ever you want to invite me out for one of your favourite rides, let me know buddy and I will be happy to tag along with you and your mates 👍
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures great stuff thanks for the reply & update I did think you would still be getting out glad to hear it , I was out 5 times last week as had week off & the weather was good . Yeah that area is just brilliant esp in autumn colours , I explored some nice quiet dead end climbs around the forest of bowland . It’s always good to get out
I like the prospecting vids, good job fella.

@ I’m itching to get back on the gold. Need to find a new spot though.
Yes, me too. I'd let the leaves fall first though. They will clog up your sluice 😁
@ I know right! Where has this year gone. We’ll have to arrange a collaboration next year!

wow thats alot
It was a reasonable show my friend, the gold here is generally small but plentiful if you find a good gravel bar 👍
Really enjoy your videos.
