My favourite river to pan on Daz and no two times is the gold the same. Those that know it will know you have had a great result there. Better than any days I have had. Great choice of spot. I hope to do some tests of different approaches there, just clearing the top layers, digging deep for bedrock, and sniping the middle of the river to see what is best next year. Maybe I’ll see you there one day
It's great to read your comments because I think you get what I am trying to show here. It's not about big nuggets or pulling grams of gold out of the ground. It is all about broadening your horizons as to what is going on and to see if there are pay layers. Obviously a few bits of gold that show up with a GoPro camera help to tell the story but when I look back to when I first starting panning in this area, it was like starting all over again having spent many seasons at the Welsh Secret River. If ever you see someone talking to themselves and eating crabsticks at the river, just out mate 😊👍
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures 100% Daz. I really enjoyed hearing the surprise in you voice when you were looking at the sluice and doing the clean up. Like you said, the gold fever had hit!
Awesome video Daz, very informative and well put together! It’s crazy how much small gold you found! Your experience and knowledge really paying off here!
Lovely day out and a nice pan!! Keep on keeping on, its always a joy when someone finds a good spot!! (You are going to have to get another thimble, to put it in*,Lol!) *Just joking, i read your reply to a comment,a bit back,,,where you said that you keep the yellow shiny stuff in a thimble, & it made me chuckle!! Thank you for taking us along with you!! Andrea and Critters. ...XxX....
The big pieces are found with metal detectors or by shifting heaven and earth to get to the river bed cracks, Matt But you never know what might turn up in the pan
It's intetesting when you look back at summer footage which you then edit in winter. I bet the water is absolutely freezing now. I'm looking forward to a few more trips up here next season
Great video daz yet again love how you explain every part of your experiences, I would have to take with me a Chinese chicken sandwich and a meat stick for my picnic 😂 well done on the Gold all the best daz Rob
Cheers Rob, sounds like a great meal choice. I have wild camped here and that is a fantastic experience. After a hard day at the river digging, it's ace to sit down with a beer and cook your tea on the stove.🙂👍
No doubt Daz sounds amazing I'm hoping to get to Scotland next year, its a bit hard with 3 kids on my own but when the opertuniity comes ill make sure I remember everything I've learned from watching your vids, I mainly find gold dust on the beach round here and not often from a river its all I have in respect of working material but it also works around the kids, looking forward to more of your adventures youbshare with us legend cheers again Daz
@PatringtonPirateProductions fair play to ya if you are getting the kids out on the beach. I used to search for sea glass with my daughter on the beach. It keeps them engaged in between the ice creams. Best of luck in Scotland too. You never know what might turn up in your pan
I love my garrett gold pans i habe both the super sluice and the gold trap both pan work way better than the cheap amazon pans great video tho daz keep it up. Will have nore video up myself this year been out checking new place way out the way up in the hills need to camp all my bew spots and there is plenty of the yellow stuff. 🎉

It's probably down to a bit of luck to be honest.
I know there's gold all around this area but to come across so much tiny stuff was a nice surprise
@ for sure, it’s always comforting to know you’re in an area where there’s gold. It’s Just finding it.
There's sections where you feel like you are going to get skunked up here
Nice day out Daz
Yes, all in all it was a good day out. And the sun played it's part too buddy
Really enjoy your peaceful videos
Thank you Lawrence , much appreciated 👍
Great filming Daz. 😊
Thanks Cheviot... It can get a bit tricky rembering what actually happened on the day all that time ago when it comes to editing the video 👍
Top result!
It was a genuine pleasant surprise to see that much fine gold 👍
Happy days mate ! My best find of Basalt Lava pillow! and who know's what can come out!
That Basalt lava pillow has a lot to answer for pal . There's more questions than answers...👍

Andrea and Critters. ...XxX....
Hi Andrea, if only it was a 3 litre thermos flask I used like Parker Schnable does 😉👍
Great 👍 video. I hope one day you find one bigger than your bucket 🪣
The big pieces are found with metal detectors or by shifting heaven and earth to get to the river bed cracks, Matt
But you never know what might turn up in the pan
Bloody good haul Mr.P!
It was all small but lots of it. I think it was in the ground that was eroded away John rather than transported recently
Great result Daz. Loved the video. That made me feel like I was there on the river, instead of here in Surrey on a cold and rainy day! :o)

Get in daz
Cheers pal 👍
Hi Daz the only pan I look at is when I'm washing up 😊
Good man, I like to hear stuff like this. Doing the dishes is definitely a man's job 🙂

Nice one Mr Daz was nice to see a good result for your efforts, wonder what the weight was.
Hi William. I tend not to reveal weight nowadays. It's more about the story and the experience. 👍
Well done dude.
Cheers buddy 👍
