Nice switch Mike I put the Jenson C10 in my vox VT30 to upgrade and it was a much better sound, I usually set the amp on the AC30 setting with some light crunch edge of breakup style.
I noticed you connected the red positive wire to the opposite pole from how it was on the original speaker - and it works. If there are no "+' or "-" markings on the speaker, does it really matter which way you connect those lead wires? Thank you.
I just pulled the trigger on the champion 100... apparently the speakers are specially design... just wondering is it possible to upgrade the 2x12 or just leave it alone ?????
Wow you’re in a good place with the possibilities if you do want to explore a swap. You could do a Cannabis Rex with a Jensen and it would shine! I would live with the stock speakers for a minute however. You may find them sufficient!
@@USTTRM Thank you brother... so it's cool to change out these so called special speaker.. I'm assuming the two speakers... so I'm assuming if you change them out... change them with a speaker that breaks up a bit to accommodate the modeling in the amp.... hey thank you for getting back brother
i have the 100, and found the issues of the 40 and 20 im seeing on youtube wasn't a thought when playing. to the point it made me wanna buy the 40. abit annoyed cuz i thought the 40 would be the same but smaller scale amp. so will 100% be replacing that speaker when i got the cash
th-cam.com/video/ME57asaTJHM/w-d-xo.html I just stuck both of these in my chmp 100... wow.. what a upgrade on tone... I liked them both and with the combo of both type the A & V is complete gold.
This video tells me nothing, either about the Fender Champion 40 combo or the speaker upgrade - effect on tonality for example. Undoing and redoing four bolts/screws and two spade connectors has zero value. I have just fitted a Jensen N12 speaker to my new Champion 40 as I wanted a better tone when playing clean, which gives me a growl from whichever amp I select on the Champion (Tweed for example). And I looked elsewhere than here to select that speaker (over Celestion). Well. Nice smily videos do no harm!
You can get shocked changing a speaker' it' better to take it to an electrician or somebody that repairs appliances to do it for you' those people can answer all your questions because they do it everyday.
im an "every man" and you convinced me to keep my 8 inch in my 20!! thanks..clean is really all i care about!

@@northernthrifter8817 I run the clean channel only. It’s great with pedals and the Jensen sounds like the perfect fit. Thanks for sharing!
legend, and also big thank you to ellie

Good stuff Mike. Eli’s awesome , I’m a cat man too. I have a couple of brother cats who are great company.
That's awesome!
She’s good company!
Sound demo, please?
I have the champ 20 and for what it costs it’s a great little amp.
For the money I agree. I saw a kit that you can order that converts a 20 into a tube amp! Sounds good too.
@@USTTRM really eh , that sounds interesting. Thanks Mike , catch on Sunday !

Yes what about a readily available speaker 19:39
That was great.
Thank you for the love!
Let’s hear your thoughts!

You did not even give an example of the new speaker.really that's your full demo of the new speaker..
Almost all my videos feature this amp now! Please check it out! Cheers!
Your voice sounds better than that amplifier😊
Ha! Thanks…I think?
Why not show us with a readily available speaker? waste of time for me
The replacement Jensen speaker fitted is 16 Ohm, I think the stock speaker is 8 Ohm. This will work but the volume will be significantly reduced.
@@tedmawson260 Why would you replace with different ohms!?
