90's Yamaha Acoustics: A hidden bargain?
How can you tell the difference between a M75 and M77? Thanks!
In my experience the tenon type is just not relevant compared to the quality of the neck set. The long tenon really just seems to offer a little bit of mystique, there are plenty of short tenon guitars that sustain and feel better than long tenon - indicating that the source of the desirable traits lies elsewhere.
Hi Mike great show. Epiphone still makes “cheap” guitars. $199 and up. It seems like you were implying they didn’t do that anymore. Cheers
Omission not planned. Actually they are what the data shows is moving.Cheers!
@ But they do still make guitars that are $199 new
Absolutely 👍
Apologies to real life Jim! No harm no foul. I was shooting as a rookie from the hip. Hopefully this live show we cleaned up and blocked a lot of bots. Roknrol for all humans. 😂
No worries I’m sure!
Let’s hear your thoughts!
Just got mine. Fantastic guitar neck pick up a bit quite. But everything else cool.
A- Squier B- Tokai C- Greco
Close but no…
i am curious to which one you preferred.
C.
👍
A is the squier
So..is the Squier A B or C? Let’s hear your thoughts!
Hey Mike. Watching the replay. Great show. I’m also in the market for a strat. A fender American standard(2014)caught my eye on Saturday. I’m looking for a white or cream with a rosewood fingerboard. We couldn’t agree on a price,it was a good one tho. So the search continues. But hey,the hunt is a part of the journey.
It's been a while Mike... great show! Your input is clear and 100% correct! I have learned that expertly wound pickups with premium magnets, steel and materials, make a huge difference in performance. My DAngelico Excel SS with Kent Armstong pups (yeah I know not a strat but still relevant), are top shelf and this guitar bumped everything in my closet to the side! 😂 Pot metal vs 100% steel, solid body vs multiple slabs, mahagany vs cheap woods, 1 pc necks vs 5 or more are 100% huuge factors!
I agree. Sum of the whole!
Let’s hear your thoughts!
Back in 86, I wanted a strat- and had a les paul to trade- so the world was my oyster. I went to every shop in town and played around 35 strats. The best one was a first run made in japan pink paisley. Ever since then- every person to play it, or hear it, says its the best they have played. My tokai is almost its equal- and SRV eas a tokai endorser-texas flood cover was a tokai re branded by airbrush.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
If it's cat approved, it's ok
He does!
Good looking Strats! I have an Electra,"Matsumoku" Killer axe, had on in the late '70's Both very well made and play great!
Can’t beat the quality! Thanks for posting!
Great quality without a doubt!
Awesome content on MIJ Strats! I got bit by the MIJ bug a few years ago, and man, there are still great deals out there on very high quality instruments going down the MIJ road. Good stuff! 💪💪💪
Hey I appreciate you checking in!
I know a Luthier who is approaching the age of 80... he has a drawer that has several pairs of genuine PAF late 1950's Gibson humbuckers... from Les Paul's... ES335... etc. genuine real deals... the current retail price... is $2,000 and up... way way up... per pickup...

Thanks for sharing such valuable information! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Great looking strats dig the maple necks.
Both look great

2024 Theyre worse. Theres anways Harley Benton and Leo Jaymz
I have 3 Harley Benton basses and honestly, they are mostly very playable out of the box. With minor upgrades, you can have a very good quality instrument in your hands. Subscribing 🎉
I predict you will sell or trade all of those strats before New Year’s Day. 😂
😂 Its more than likely..
Lets hear those thoughts!

Man there’s some quality stuff in there. I’d love to out and hit that venue up next summer.
I have reviewed many guitars here on TH-cam.... and have 10 just sitting here waiting for me to review... Cost of guitars today..... It is crazy what you can get for the 300.00-dollar guitar. Really a lot of great guitar at the 500.00-to-800.00-dollar guitar. If you look around and play ... once you hit the 1,600-to-2,400-dollar price mark.... It becomes you just want it.... You can get anything you want at the 2,400-price point. A true custom guitar... My go to guitar is an 89 Peavey Nitro Active 2nd 90 Peavey Vandenberg 3rd 86 Kramer Pacer IMP.... All super guitars ! I have a new Kramer ( Gibson ) witch is also great .. paid 600.00 NEW off the floor at guitar Center. Map price was 1,100.00 I also have a Fender FMT Tele .... paid 1,000.00 my point is these are all great. I own 25 guitars... they all have something. What I see is in AMPS.... Most of the newer amps are just not built well.... Tubes on boards.... Cheap Transformers.... Cheap jacks... You have to spend BIG dollars to get good tube amps.... This is why I still play my 30 year old RACK MOUNT Tube amp system.... with old 20 bit DSP's I found myself really seeing more and more BS products after I started my TH-cam channel. I wanted a channel that was 100% NO BS. I found myself seeing what the vendors do to push new products..... I Love Music and Playing. I hope people can see through the fake channels and watch channels that try to be honest. I have watched your channel for some time and I like how you do things ! ! ! ! just my 2 cents ! ! ! !
I appreciate a fellow TH-camr saying so. I appreciate your support and will head over to your channel!

Thanks Mike, i have the r8 had it for years, love it and it has never had an issue, neither has my buddies r8. Now i need to check the battery inside! Zoom has a new replacement for the r8 its a touch screen deal. Its called the r12 but get the r20 16 channel one. Everything that has an internal cmos battery should have a label stating it!
I agree!
Lets hear your thoughts!
I noticed you connected the red positive wire to the opposite pole from how it was on the original speaker - and it works. If there are no "+' or "-" markings on the speaker, does it really matter which way you connect those lead wires? Thank you.
This was very helpful! I have an FGN similarly missing the pick guard
