What is the difference in time between two vs. three batteries in parallel? Thanks

Sound like it’d be a good idea to monitor how many cycles your sump pump does per hour during wet time. storms, etc in order to get a good idea if this solution is good. If you have a heavy downpour and are running a pump every minute it sound like you might only get a 1 hour run time, maybe 2 on a single battery.

Yes, great advice - we hopefully have a solution for that coming soon with ShipShape

Do i just link all the cables from one battery to another? Do I run all the cables from the pump sentry straight to two or more marine batteries? Also whatb order should i link the batteries as I bought a newer marine battery to link to my old one. Sorry I don't even think I have my instructions. So I'm clueless.

This has a picture that shows parallel multiple batteries. Thanks for watching, hope that helps.diy.crawlspaceninja.com/content/waterproofing/pump_sentry/Pump_Sentry_2014_Brochure2.pdf

I have two separate sump pumps, both 1/2 hp. I assume I would need a separate battery for each, but my question is, can thus unit handle both of my sump pump batteries including charging?

What is the idle draw of this inverter? I read somewhere the tripplite draws almost 2 amps at idle. That sounds like a lot of juice for idle.

If using 3 batteries your supposed to connect 1 cable from the first battery to the pump sentry and the 2nd battery cable you go from the 3rd battery to the pump sentry.

Do you think I could plug the pump sentry directly on my electric car's 12v battery in case of a longer power outage? I know it is possible to plug a pure sinwave inverter onto a 12v battery, and then when it runs out of energy, the car's battery pack will keep the 12v running.

The Pump Sentry needs to be connected to a marine battery. I cannot recommend what you are suggesting since it is not the intended use for the car's battery and may void any warranties and do not know if it would work as intended.
