I TRIED IT AND IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! I I followed the dough recipe but I made the custard differently, I used corn flour (corn starch) in stead of plain flour. But honestly, I will be doing this again, everything went perfectly and my friends loved it! Thank you so much!

Same with gardening, plant care & most other things aside from singing or physical restrictions...like jumping hurdles in marathons. Not everyone was designed to run marathons or to have a great singing voice, but if you have two working hands & a functioning brain, you can learn to cook... if you really want to.
@@jasminejelly6882 Glad to hear. I started cooking when I was 5, long before the internet existed...easy stuff at first, like breakfast foods. Nobody really tried to teach me anything, although I've always learned best by trying on my own (less distraction & pressure). I learned at first from watching my mom, grandmother & others, but mostly from experimenting & using my mom / grandmothers cook books. I still screw things up sometimes, but that's how I developed my own styles of cooking & baking, which is how most (who are good) improve their skills. Every chef / baker makes mistakes. The ones on TV are often times imposters. They screw up often & aren't necessarily all that skilled (just good performers), they always have back-up to make themselves look good. Oftentimes, nobody wants to even eat what was made, or they spit it out at commercial break. Consider making something that your dad doesn't typically make...and if it doesn't come out right, look up or ask the problem online. Master a couple of dishes & you will be amazed w/ where that will lead. Best wishes.

I made this the other day and it turned out wonderful!! A tip, just make sure to not overknead your dough, or else the doughnuts will come out very doughy. Knead it to the point where when you pull the dough, it stretches and is elastic. There's many articles online about how to tell if your dough is kneaded enough, if you're a beginner I suggest checking those out. These donuts are delicious so definitely give it a try!

This is exactly how my grandmother used to do these doughnuts 50 years ago in Romania.. It's incredibile how the same recipe can be so widespread. The only difference is that she probably didn't use so many pots and pans.. you have to be efficient in the kitchen.

The recipe is LEGIT! Even though the first attempt was failed, but then i tried the second time with stand mixer. It come out perfectly, but in my case it took 2 hours for the dough to doubled the size. Must try!!! Also i add some milk chocolate and cacao powder in the custard recipe, turned out good! The doughnuts are so fluffy, Luvvv!❤️🥰
I made these recently and they were so delicious! The bread was nice and soft, while the custard was creamy and had just the right amount of sweetness. I'm not that good at baking but these were really easy to make and I was happy with the result. I'll definitely recommend every one to try this recipe!

Stefan Schmid I’m from Mexico-Veracruz and they are called “Donas Rellenas” or “Pelonas” but in USA Ca. are known just as “Doughnuts “ . I thought that this delicious pastry was known only in Mexico but surprisingly I can see that I was wrong! Thanks to this video now I learned how to make it and I’m soo happy that it worked great!

*I know there is already a comment with some GREAT tips, but here’s some more! ~* 1.) When making the custard, you want to stir the milk when you are heating it up. This ensures that the milk doesn’t scorch, and trust me.. it is a hassle to clean the pot if it does. Make sure you constantly stir the custard mixture like shown in the video as well! 2.) If your dough comes out too sticky, hold onto the thought of adding more flour. From my experience, adding too much extra flour can make the end result kind of bland and not airy enough. Just keep kneading! If it doesn’t seem to get less sticky after about 10 minutes of kneading, you can add a little flour, knead it in, and repeat just until the dough looks like the one in the video. 3.) On the contrary, if your dough is too dry - add some milk or a full egg/egg yolk. Make sure you don’t add too much extra moisture! 4.) If even after your buns are fried and they’re still kind of dense, use scissors to make a hole in the buns to receive the custard. You can use them to cut open the inside of the buns so that more cream can fit inside.

After seeing good comments about it i thought of trying. But it was very very difficult for me to convert the recipe from grams to cups or spoons as i did not have a kitchen weighing scale. It wud have been easier if the recipe was in cups or spoons. Next when i made the dough, the dough was very thin and sticky. I had to add a lot of flour to make it non sticky. But still it was sticky. After rising it was better bcoz i had added a lot of flour. When i fried the doughnuts, they were not that soft though. Well for the custard i thought the recipe was too much and i did not need so much. So i divided the recipe by half. I did not have vanilla bean so i used 1 tsp vanilla essence powder in half of the recipe. When i cooked the custard in the final step, it became very very thick. I guess the flour was too much. And when i refrigerated it, i was not able to use it. So i had to make it thin using milk. Well, when i filled the doughnuts with the custard it was kinda ok. But the custard did not taste much good. I cud just smell the vanilla and it wasn't good.. And the donuts were quite dry. Had to dip again and again in the custard. Then i just covered them wid chocolate instead of custard and they tasted better. And again as i said the doughnuts weren't that soft.
I've tried these a couple of times and even though the doughnuts are delicious, I can't get any custard piped into them. They are too dense to allow any custard inside. How on earth do these ones have a large enough pocket to allow all that custard inside is beyond me!

To really get the most flavour out of the vanilla, try keeping it in the milk and add it to the egg yolk mixture. Then strain the custard after you have finished cooking it.
i just made these and they turned out great! but: 1. i was stupid enough to put the butter first then the eggs because i forgot about them. this made the dough kinda not as soft as the ones here but oh welp 2. my dough didnt rise as much as the ones on the video but they still taste good so idrc 3. my hands feel like they’re about to fall off after kneading for 20 mins

Thank you for the recipe 🙏 I've just tried it today & the result is amazing😍 I made square shape & korean twisted shape doughnut, although the shape becomes weird shape when I fry the doughnuts 😄 (I need more exercise) but when I taste it, the texture is moist & soft. I've tried the filling recipe too, But I'm not fond for it, for me it's too sweet. I love the doughnuts recipe tho, i think this is the best doughnut recipe

I made this the other day and it turned out wonderful!! A tip, just make sure to not overknead your dough, or else the doughnuts will come out very doughy. Knead it to the point where when you pull the dough, it stretches and is elastic. There's many articles online about how to tell if your dough is kneaded enough, if you're a beginner I suggest checking those out. These donuts are delicious so definitely give it a try!

200° غرام من الحليب الدافئ
8° غرام من الخميرة الفورية
60° غرام من السكر
~نخلط المكونات معا و ثم نتركها
لمدة 10 دقائق~
500° غرام من طحين
7° غرام ملح
2° بيضتان
~ نخلط المكونات وثم نعجن
العجين~
50° غرام من الزبدة الغير مملحة
~أضف الزبدة واستمر في العجن حتى
يصبح السطح أملسًا لمدة 15-20 دقيقة~
~ثم يغطى العجين ويستريح حتى يتضاعف حجمه~
------------------------------------------------------
6° بيضات " نحتاج فقط إلى صفار البيض"
100° غرام من السكر
~نخلط السكر و صفار البيض~
ثم نضيف °50 غرام من الطحين
~و نخلطه مع صفار البيض و السكر~
------------------------------------------------------
~ثم نضع مقدار 500 مل من الحليب
على النار مع 1عود الفانيلا ~
~ثم نصفيه من الفانيلا و نضعه مع خليط
الدقيق و السكر و صفار البيض وبعدها
نضع الخليط على النار ثم بعد أن يصبح
أكثر سماكة نوعا ما نضعه في وعاء و نضع
الوعاء في البراد~

~نقوم بضرب العجين الذي قمنا بتركه سابقا
لي إزالة فقاعات الهواء ثم نقوم بفرد العجين
ليصل سمكها إلى 1 سنتيمتر و نستخدم
قوالب دائرية و نقوم بتفريغ العجين ثم نأخذ
دوائر العجين و نضعها في وعاء و نغطها
بغلاف بلاستيكي و نجعلها ترتاح لمدة 30
دقيقة ~
~ثم نسخن الزيت إلى 170 درجة مئوية
و نقوم بقلي دوائر العجين لمدة دقيقة واحدة
لكل جانب حتى يصبح لونها بنيا ذهبيا ~
~ثم بعد ان تبرد نقوم بتقليبها على السكر
الخشن و نقوم بتعبئها بالكريمة أو الصوص
الذي قمنا بصنعه سابقا~

This is exactly how my grandmother used to do these doughnuts 50 years ago in Romania.. It's incredibile how the same recipe can be so widespread. The only difference is that she probably didn't use so many pots and pans.. you have to be efficient in the kitchen.

sooo good! i made these but instead of custard i used nutella and non the less, i was very pleased with the end result! will be doing again 100%!
The recipe is LEGIT! Even though the first attempt was failed, but then i tried the second time with stand mixer. It come out perfectly, but in my case it took 2 hours for the dough to doubled the size. Must try!!! Also i add some milk chocolate and cacao powder in the custard recipe, turned out good! The doughnuts are so fluffy, Luvvv!❤️🥰

I made these recently and they were so delicious! The bread was nice and soft, while the custard was creamy and had just the right amount of sweetness. I'm not that good at baking but these were really easy to make and I was happy with the result. I'll definitely recommend every one to try this recipe!

In Brazil, this kind of doughnut is called "SONHO" (dream)
*I know there is already a comment with some GREAT tips, but here’s some more! ~*
1.) When making the custard, you want to stir the milk when you are heating it up. This ensures that the milk doesn’t scorch, and trust me.. it is a hassle to clean the pot if it does. Make sure you constantly stir the custard mixture like shown in the video as well!
2.) If your dough comes out too sticky, hold onto the thought of adding more flour. From my experience, adding too much extra flour can make the end result kind of bland and not airy enough. Just keep kneading! If it doesn’t seem to get less sticky after about 10 minutes of kneading, you can add a little flour, knead it in, and repeat just until the dough looks like the one in the video.
3.) On the contrary, if your dough is too dry - add some milk or a full egg/egg yolk. Make sure you don’t add too much extra moisture!
4.) If even after your buns are fried and they’re still kind of dense, use scissors to make a hole in the buns to receive the custard. You can use them to cut open the inside of the buns so that more cream can fit inside.

After seeing good comments about it i thought of trying.
But it was very very difficult for me to convert the recipe from grams to cups or spoons as i did not have a kitchen weighing scale. It wud have been easier if the recipe was in cups or spoons.
Next when i made the dough, the dough was very thin and sticky. I had to add a lot of flour to make it non sticky. But still it was sticky. After rising it was better bcoz i had added a lot of flour.
When i fried the doughnuts, they were not that soft though.
Well for the custard i thought the recipe was too much and i did not need so much. So i divided the recipe by half. I did not have vanilla bean so i used 1 tsp vanilla essence powder in half of the recipe. When i cooked the custard in the final step, it became very very thick. I guess the flour was too much. And when i refrigerated it, i was not able to use it. So i had to make it thin using milk.
Well, when i filled the doughnuts with the custard it was kinda ok. But the custard did not taste much good. I cud just smell the vanilla and it wasn't good.. And the donuts were quite dry. Had to dip again and again in the custard.
Then i just covered them wid chocolate instead of custard and they tasted better.
And again as i said the doughnuts weren't that soft.
I've tried these a couple of times and even though the doughnuts are delicious, I can't get any custard piped into them. They are too dense to allow any custard inside. How on earth do these ones have a large enough pocket to allow all that custard inside is beyond me!

To really get the most flavour out of the vanilla, try keeping it in the milk and add it to the egg yolk mixture. Then strain the custard after you have finished cooking it.

1. i was stupid enough to put the butter first then the eggs because i forgot about them. this made the dough kinda not as soft as the ones here but oh welp
