- One of these currently for sale: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Landrover-d...
Hughie at PortalRover built this, and the one that you'll see in the upcoming The Expendables 2. With Sly Stallone etc. Smart, eh ! You can see it in the movie trailer.
Have a google for PortalRover if you fancy one ;_ - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Some awesome engineering but I'm sure your dog would rather be a spectator!
David Emery 🤣 pretty sure dogs like all car rides...
a Cummings diesel will be a nice gesture with this beautiful and bad ass piece of machine,i really love this 6x6
There doesn't seem to be a diff lock between the front and rear two axles. The back wheels are spinning like crazy and the front aren't doing anything.
Essentially a rear wheel drive vehicle. :(
And its far to heavy, thats why it didnt get up the hill at 3:50
Still beastly looking
I agree, it would have done great if the difference had been locked.
That engine is not that powerful if this had a Cummings diesel or a duramax this would be a perfect weapon for any terrain
Never seen a 6X before ! O I so want one !
Amazing piece of kit !
Land Rover:
-Environmentally friendly car. (All parts are reused, and even broken!)
-Sustainable. (80% of all Land Rover as building block is still in use)
-Values most famous off-road car.
Today, Land Rover turns 65. I think that should be celebrated!
please send forward this to other Land Rover movies!
This is clearly the rescuers down under vehicle.
Lol, the dogs like wtf is my kennel doing
i think the dog deserves the passenger seat at least :P
LOL atleast he brought the dog along for the ride right :p
Unstoppable if fitted with a set of Michelin XCL tyres.
good driving
The more you revv the more you get stuck on the soup, the wheels dig in, the axles touch terrain and you are done.
That would be awesome with CTIS to add some extra grip when you need it.
great build, but still gets stuck in relatively easy parts.
How have you set up centre-differentials between the three axles? Or are the rear two locked at the same speed?
awesome
I feel bad for the doggie :(
@kadupodo I think this was one of it's first outings. Probably has a locking front by now, knowing Hugh ;-)
Dogs actually love going with you when you offroad .. however, be nice to it and put a soft rubber mat on the floor and some foam coverings over sharp edges so it doesn't get cut by accident.
@sammartins92 Hugh at portalrover.co.uk built this (and you might just be seeing some more of them he built for an upcoming action film... not sure if that's common knowledge yet tho so can't say more) and if I remember right it's a custom built chassis extended. Maybe Marsland or somesuch. Get in contact with Hugh if you want one :)
funny you say that. although i was a bit overly concerned for the dog, I thought, i wonder if when the dog knows you are off out in it, he sneaks in before ya get in or something. Clearly he/she loves it..lol.
@michaelpasco2000 I can't - but if you google for portalrover, you can ask the builder.
A dog lead would be far cheaper than a vets bill for a broken leg buddy , still think you landys one hell of a machine though
Is that a 110 converted? it looks short for a 130. Great truck can't beat a Landy
good in some ways but it wont turn too well at low speed with 4 rear wheels.
Looks like its coils/springs all round, which is odd as im pretty sure the 6X6 perenties have coils up front and leaf suspension in the rear, better for load bearing. Whatever floats your boat i guess. I could be very wrong, its just what it looks like from the video
You kinda failed to show how badass you are when you got stuck at 00:38 .
nice landy mate looks good in lro to
nice creation ..............
poor old dog :(
This is how they tender up that dog for dinner.
That's right. It doesn't take much does it? I rubber mat will also ensure heavy objects don't roll or slide around & potentially damage the vehicle ;)
Super 6×6
Needs to be a half-track!
Poor Dog :( Maybe consider that he doesnt enjoy it as much as you do? But nice land rover :)
Now that us epic :D
Running on a Td5. You need more power man!
Nice ride
I want it !!!
Off road capabilities is better than the 4x4 version.
More power and larger would maybe help to more comfort int the all-terrain class
Wooooow Great
Se o amigo aí conseguiu atolar um 6X6, o meu Defender tradicional não teria muita chanceh. rs
Mas pelo que pude notar o veículo é a gasolina. Eu, particularmente, prefiro a força do Diesel.
Enfim, coitado do cachorro!!!!
hahahahaha
How does he ract in sand?
thats real mud
Let the dog out!! ;)
Nice job but I dont' think the deep mud or trial are the best places for the 6x6, I think that desert is probably more the place for it.
it's been awhile since this was posted up here, so i'm sure you've added a locker (or 2) by now......
Yeah, I fixed my windscreen that way
How is it long?
@MrStiigg Yeah except it needed winching out lmao
Brilliant, I love it. The best yet. But go on a diet..
jankel did something similar to a p38 rr
I think the dog was driving.
By "overly concerned", i meant concerned when i shouldn't be. :)
@MSzwed Everyone needed winched out of that hole. It's worse than it looks.
I would put tracks instead of the rear wheels :D
6x6 and still gets stuck....I can go on foot and never get stuck :) 1x1 FTW
I may have to buy a 130 and convert it into this !
Sandringham?
nice landy but take dog out of back next time.
how much is it?
悬挂很灵活啊。
Poor dog....
two snorkels?
@lansing9r
Yeah, I used to have a dog that did the same thing.
Dogs love doing anything social with their masters and masters friends.
Still, covering sharp edges in it's "cave" with foam, and a rubber mat so it doesn't slide around, will make it easier to be a dog owner while offroading. Heck, I think the dog likes it more too, when it's not sliding all over the place. :)
это называется "перенити" (если память не изменят) армия австралии их использует
Looks like its coils/springs all round, which is odd as im pretty sure the 6X6 perenties have coils up front and leaf suspension in the rear, better for load bearing.
Needs bigger better tires in the mud.
@Jesus45U The dog moans if left behind... !
NEEDS TYRES...NOTHING ELSE :)
lol , je le voyais venir leur affaire plus de roues mais plus de problèmes ?
Акуеная тема)
god truck but it needs diffloocks!
машина хорошая , а собачку жалко.
That poor dog, but whauw does it go
love the info on this video .... "why not" :D thats the excuse i give my girlfriend when i buy somthing new for my 110.. why not !
was a realy nice video, except for the poor dog in the back :s
Itt készült:
portalrover.co.uk
the tires are wayyy to big for that, look at how shitty the flex angle is on that front end, a honda minivan has more flex up front
gonna get cancer from the exhaust
Show the evidence and i will agree with you.
G63...
G53 AMG 6X6 will fuck the hell out of this Land Rover
got stuck
rubish 6 well drive :))) =)))
мотора не хватает!
I agree. LR 6x6 is shred compare to G 6x6
no offense, but it does not seem to have more off-road-ability than a 4 wheel drive...
It was built as a prototype, that was its first run out if I remember right. Machine is long-gone now..
squaddie mobile :)
why do you let the dog in the back poor dog
90+110? però quel povero cane non è trattato molto bene.....
Damage? Ha, you'd need some seriously heavy stuff to bend a Defender. Heck, the industry standard method of repair is to lump it with a mallet, no matter what it is that's broken.
Land cruiser 80 much better))
cruelty to animals
nice defender however the driver offroad abilities SUX damn he is such a terrible driver .....jesus I surely do better than him passing through those obstacles with my standard defender 100 black series you
Looks like its coils/springs all round, which is odd as im pretty sure the 6X6 perenties have coils up front and leaf suspension in the rear, better for load sharing. Whatever floats your boat i guess. I could be very wrong, its just what it looks like from the video
