    May I ask your fuel consumption in litres per 100 kms? And did you change the diff ratios and add aircon?
    Regards, Gavin

      Gavin Anderson it chews 17L per 100 fully loaded or empty.
      Diffs are now 4.11
      I just bought the gear to install red dot air con so that will be going on shortly

    nice do you recommend one for touring, after buying from the auction is there much trouble with licencing,insurance and obtaining parts for maintenance

      hi, yes i do recommend one for touring, mine has already done cape york and lorrella springs, they are very stable off road, more so than a 4x4 , they climb steep hills like they are flat roads. i had no trouble getting mine on the road after the auction. everything on mine was brand new tyres, suspension, brakes , engine and gear box only had a few Ks on them. shannons insure them, no problems with parts because its all compatible with the landrover county.

      I’ve had both the double crewcab and the ambulance versions, great off road but highway driving was a slow and noisy event.
      Even so I still have a soft spot for them. Certainly turned heads Wherever I went.

    I could never understand why they designed such a high-maintenance rear end, with four springs, shackles, pins and bushes, whereas a simpler walking-beam with one inverted spring each side would be less wear and tear and offer better wheel articulation off-road. This clip shows nothing that a 4x4 could not do.

    • @mikemorris4435
      @mikemorris4435  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes a walking beam would be great.
      Yes your right this shows nothing a normal 4x4 could do, even in 2wd. that wasn't the idea of the video.
      My son liked to make videos of this car so that's what we would do together on weekends. He would film on my phone and edit it.
