As a kid, was outside all day in the spring and summer, riding bikes, running, digging in the backyard, looking for nice rocks, catching lightening bugs, rolling down hills., laying on my back and watching the white fluffy clouds. Finding the most colorful leaves in the fall, and ironing them with a warm iron, between sheets of waxed paper. Winter was building snow forts, snowmen, catching snowflakes on black paper, to see the beauty in each one. It was all magical. May the children of today enjoy all the beauty life has to offer.

Ever since I started watching your channel, I've always felt like we're kin. Hot tea ☕ was a staple in all of my relatives homes. I drink many flavors, but Chamomile is my bedtime tea. One of my favorite childhood memories was when my friends and I would go on a hike. We'd pack our P.B.& J sandwiches 🥪, Kool-aid, and a blankets. We had a field across the street from where we lived that had tall weeds in it. We would pretend we were in the jungle. We used to build forts with big cardboard boxes and my brother also built a treehouse. Just being out in Nature is so refreshing. I enjoy all of your videos. But the outdoor videos with the sound of the creek are my favorites. Thank you for sharing your tea time outdoors Katie and Corie.
    Praying and Blessed! 🤗🙏💕🌄🍂

I’m so grateful for all my country cousins, we had so much fun in our younger days. We had a few old barns to play in, corn cob fights with boys against girls, all holidays spent together at our grandparents tiny home. My mom had 5 children. She also had 7 brothers and 2 sisters so we had lots of cousins to play with. So many precious memories.❤🙏

I was the one who, upon coming home from school and changing clothes, headed to the woods to wander and imagine. Hey, cousins! I've always been more rural at heart. My family moved around a lot when I was little. We lived in a couple of big major cities and a couple of very small towns. I much preferred the small towns because there were places where you could decompress and be totally surrounded by nature. Also, the culture was more faith and family oriented. Your channel has that feel, and I love it! Thanks, and God bless!

My family camped all summer. My Dad would come back and forth on weekends. We fished for most of our meals. The first two summers we had a 4 man tent but the last year we had a little trailer. I love tea! Builders Tea on Amazon is our favorite but we try it all. We use Manuka Honey. It has medicinal benefits and we use regular honey as well. Adding a slice of fresh ginger is good for you, too. Thanks for sharing the woods, the creek and the good conversation. There truly is a time for every season under heaven and your home looks like a little slice of heaven. 🙏

I loved this style of video! It was very creative. Loved hearing the crunch of the leaves and the different sounds of the creek. Loved watching the little stove come to life and boil the water for your tea. I enjoy hot tea at times, no favorite though. The 5 of us kids were very outdoorsy while living in Way cross, Georgia where 4 of us were born. Our specialty was tree climbing. We played softball, hopscotch, red rover, hide and go seek, rode our bikes, skated on the sidewalks, went berry picking, fishing, and trick or treating. We, also, loved playing in the dirt with toy trucks & cars. In the summers we visited our grandparents who lived on 20 acres in Tampa, Florida, with a creek that ran the length of the property. We climbed their trees and explored the creek area. Those were the good old days for me❣️

I'm 72 and this made me think about some of my favorite memories as a child. We lived on a small lake when I was 7,8 and we would walk around the lake. Part of the walk was through a small woods. On Sunday after church our neighbor would take us for an adventure in the larger woods, pointing out plants etc. and then he would build a tiny fire and heat a couple cans of soup right in the cans for a bit of a snack. My brother and I built small forts out of dead branches. There was a very friendly St Bernard that liked to accompany us on our adventures. It was an absolutely wonderful time of my childhood. I could go on and on about living at the lake. God bless you ladies and your beautiful family.

When I was a kid we stayed outside until the street lights came on at night. LOL Then we'd catch lightening bugs!! This was a GREAT video. I LOVED it!! We had a front porch swing when I was a kid, and when it would rain, I'd get a blanket and go outside to sit on the swing to listen to it. Times were so simple and life was so good. The "good ole days". I am now 62...still LOVE being outside. God Bless Ya'll.

I have the same stove. You can burn fairly thick branches once the fire is lit, by putting them in on the side unbroken (up to 12" long or more) 2-3 at a time, and as they burn push them in further and further. Hope this makes sense! It's hard to explain, but it makes the whole thing so much more efficient. Thanks for taking me along cuz.

Thanks for bringing us along. Its not always about what you originally went out there for. Just getting away from the rut of daily life and enjoying nature. One of my best memories was taking my daughter hunting with me. While we didn't see a deer that day sitting in the tree stand, we did enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature. We particularly enjoyed watching the fox squirrels playing on a tree near by. And watching a pocket gopher tunneling under the ground in front of us. Popping his head out for a couple minutes every once in awhile. Then moving back underground headed to his next spot. The important things aren't always the biggest things. Thanks for sharing your trip. Country cousins it is. Peace and happiness to your family always.

All of us old folks that grew up in the 60`s were outside most of the time, No need to stay inside, only had 3 or 4 channels on the black and white tv, there were no cell phones, computers, video games. We would walk to school, and walk home from school, and if you lived close enough to the school, you could walk home to eat lunch ( toasted peanut butter sandwich and tomato soup) I really miss those days, growing up in the 60`s.

I was lucky enough to grow up with a woods behind our house that was our grandfather's property. The woods wasn't particularly thick with brush, lots of towering pinetrees. A huge oak tree that had fallen on its side with branches for jumping on and swinging and hiding behind! The best thing was a little creek that snaked through the woods .My brother and l laid in it, damned it up, caught minnows and crawdads made pretend campfires and fairy houses with rocks and acorn lids. You really stired up some good memories🫒🌻🍁🍂

I am the youngest of 5 & there is 7 years between me & the next to youngest, so my siblings were older as I was growing up. But I loved playing w matchbox cars outside w my brother around the base of a huge pine tree. The roots of the tree were roadways & houses (man, it was such fun!)! My oldest brother (13 year difference), was a photographer & had a whirlwind thought to trade his camera for a huge boat ( sight unseen!😳), needless to say, it was a bad decision…. But I ended up w the coolest boat that I played on every day!!😂 Your Dad would love to know that I still own my “cane pole” that my Dad took me fishing with! Thanks for another fantastic video, you made me remember things I had forgotten about!

What a cute little stove. Perfect for taking into the woods on a little hike. I've never seen a little stove like it before. I don't do any camping or hiking anymore, but watching this video reminded me of when we did quite a bit of both. Back then a little stove like that would have been nice, better than our Coleman stove, although at the time I loved our Coleman gear. My dad taught me to have an emergency survival kit in my car at all times. An assortment of things I would need to stay alive; too many to list them all here. During the blizzard in 1978 I was very glad I had it. Thanks for your videos.

Great video ladies! I grew spearmint last summer in a big pot on my deck. I harvested it off and on all summer and dehydrated it as I went and then of course kept it in jars. I've been making it this fall with just a tiny pinch of stevia and it has been so, so good. I actually have a little stove like you have, but I'm not going to lie, even though I know you guys know what you're doing, it makes me super nervous watching this that you're building a fire with it amongst all those dry leaves. Not criticizing at all, it just makes ME nervous 😅

Oh this was a fabulous video! I loved it and would be interested in seeing more. Your little twig stove is really cool Katie. I love hot tea and I wish I could have been there with you sweet gals. You’re both great mommies and you definitely need to always take time for your selves. I wish I had a sister to share time with. Always treasure each other. I love outdoors and I played in the woods as a child too.

I love hot teas, my favorite is celestial seasonings bengal spice. It’s very warm and vanilla Cinnamonish-it’s also good with a splash of cream. Or with honey , or with out anything extra. You’ll have to make some of this for your momma, it smells like Christmas and fall all at the same time. Nothing like a barn 😆! You can get it for about 3$ at a grocery store.

I love tea with honey and creamer. Black tea bags. I buy Lipton tea bags. I love to sit outside on my deck and get fresh air, drink my tea and watch the wild animals and hear them make their beautiful sounds. I also love to hear the rooster next door.🩷🩷 God bless you both, your beautiful sons and family.

When I was a kid we all played outside but all the time. We made huts and hideouts between bushes. Made mud pies. That was a lot of fun in the day. Didn’t have a TV yet. Just good old fun.
And I love tea. Green tea flavored in elderberry.

I grew up in the woods too with a creek that ran a horseshoe shape around my parents house I could hear the creek year round calling to me asking me to come play in it, i didn’t have any siblings living and the only friend I had wasn’t close enough to come over so I played all by myself.
I love this kinda content in fact the last 2 or 3 videos have been great the fall colors the drive through the country, my area is a whole lot like yours as I live in the hills too cept that I have a 10,786 foot mountain in my back yard and by my backyard I mean 22 miles away from my house

I absolutely love being outside and fall is my favorite time of the year🍂🍁 When I was a kid me and my sister were always outside. It didn't matter what kind of weather we were having. We'd make mud soup using water, dirt, and grass. Sticks were our utensils. I really miss those days, and having a child's imagination. I seen a book on Amazon called 100 Games to Play with a Stick and thought about buying it for my sister😁

When I was a kid we lived on a cul-de-sac but there was some property that wasn't developed that had a grove of scrub oaks on it. All us kids would climb trees, play kickball, ride our bikes. We had a yellow dirt bank that we got out our Tonka trucks and played in the dirt with them. I made a fort out of a large cardboard box in our backyard and played cowboys and Indians or soldier. I bugged my daddy for a pony even though we lived on a small lot I got one. Between the pony and my swimming pool I got to be pretty popular with the kids in my neighborhood.

Enjoyed the video ladies. Thank you for taking us along. Growing up we would go fishing and camping and have campfire and wiener roasts and marshmallows. When I went with my one grandparents to west Virginia go rock hunting in the river behind the house. We would sit on the porch at night neighbors would come by and talk. Then when we got to come down to my other grandparents in Tennessee. Where we live now. Loved the animals got to drive the tractors and also sit on the porch and talk. Every year there would be family reunions. Lol wish at times could go back to that time. Here lately so much anxiety and worry. Take care friends 🧡 God bless. Also ladies my wife was wanting to know the Etsy shop you get your head scarfs at.
