Yeah, my video was flagged for removal because of the dead deer? So I edited it out. It’s ok to show them as long as the cavity is closed? I’m learning as I go.
With a few mild winters it should come back. Should see a lot more does and fawns this season. Just hoping we can have one more mild one in a row and they seem to bounce right back.
Thanks man. It is a bummer but I am learning what can and cannot be posted. Your channel is just taking off! Good work! Your content is awesome and your family is hilarious. Hope all is well with you buddy.
thanks again,i like watching it the 2nd as much as the 1st. how far is it, from where you break ice to get to the shore in the morning to walk to the 1st stand?
Ice was out about 100 yards last year. We’ve busted the whole path about 1/4 mile from the cabin before. Some years we cannot hunt across the lake due to ice so it’s really hit or miss. This might be one of those seasons.
Good video. With your deer numbers down so bad it looks like Minnesota needs to open up a wolf hunting and trapping season. The wolves are eating all your deer. No deer equals fewer tags sold which will cost the state a bunch of money in tag sales and taxes from hunting equipment and supplies.
Yes, I think the management of wolves should be taken into consideration. We also benefit from mild winters. Where we hunt we have always had wolves and good numbers of them. They ebb and flow with the deer population. That said, lots of other areas of the state are just recently seeing impacts from wolves. They can be managed safely and effectively with hunting and trapping that would at the very least relax the minds of those that absolutely hate wolves. I enjoy seeing wolves as where I hunt they are completely in their natural habitat with little to no human impacts on the ecosystem aside from logging.
So cool
Thanks man. We try hard, not many deer but it’s fun being in the middle of nowhere.
Great to revisit the video! Enjoyed as always! Cheers to Frank!
Thank you! Looking forward to this season!
Awesome video. It gets me fired up for this season!

Great video! Its a shame what's happened to the deer population in Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin.

What happened to your friend Frank
Unfortunately, Frank had a major medical event that took him from us early. He is very missed at camp. He was one of a kind.
