Second week of deer camp and our final week at the cabin. We tried our best to find one. Shots were fired but deer were luckier than the hunters. Deer Camp 2024 - Opening Weekend
มุมมอง 40Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Remote Northwoods deer camp adventure begins in the first part of a three part series for the Minnesota rifle gun season in zone 100. There were plenty of deer on the trail cameras that enticed the hunters for the 9 day stretch ahead. Weather was warm and the hunters had a tough time finding deer. Tag along on the opening weekend in a unique setting within Minnesota’s remote Northwoods. #cabin ...
Northern Minnesota Diver Duck Hunt

Diver duck hunting in northern Minnesota. Lots of ring-necked ducks in the river on a remote lake. We set up the decoys and got in the blind. Shooting could have been better but we were able to get a couple limits. #cabin #deerhunting #minnesota #fishing #bassfishing #deerstand #wilderness #bestfriend #camping #deercamp #diverducks #duckhunting #duckhunters #wilderness #wildlife #outdoors

Looks like a very successful hunt! Well done! 👌
Thank you. Was a very successful week of hunting.
I'll take some back strip please.. love it with homemade buttermilk biscuits n the morning
That sounds amazing!
This thing looks amazing. Great for the deer blind or ice fishing. Great video. I cant find the chair on your links. What does it cost?
They sold out apparently and won’t be restocked until next season. Went quick. I believe they were originally $180 but dropped to around $100 for the holidays with some coupons. May have been cheaper I’m not certain.
Either me or my GF gets a doe tag every season. There would be 3 buck and a doe laying there or hanging in the shop.
That’s awesome. We haven’t had a doe tag in over a decade. Been some tough years!
Now that is the way to drag a deer out of the woods.
Yes, nothing like loading a couple bucks on the wheeler.
I never seen a dead animal that had its eyes closed. They always die with there eyes open n stay that way.
Pretty good cooter
Definitely an old snapper.
all chairs sold out at tidewe
Dang. I’ll see if I can see when they’ll be back in stock.
Where you going with my date😢😢
I've caught some strange looking fish but, damn, you win.
The ol whitetail buck fish. They’re good eating.
Looked like this this year saw 3 first
Man, we didn’t see much this season. Hopefully better next year.
Another greeeeeeeeeeeeat video bud ! Deer Camp and remote Big Woods. Thanks for bringing us along through the hunting grind. It's tough out there 👍🏼
Grinding is the fitting word for hunting the Northwoods. Few deer but can’t beat the amazing sites and sounds of nature with no cars, dogs barking, people. Nice to be quiet out there.
💪💪
Deer season was strange this year, I blame it on the moon. Great video .
I agree with Bob Seger on this one!
@@arrowheadangler , Against the wind ? or maybe Night moves ?
Sweet time's 😊
Always a good time at deer camp. Well at least until the lake freezes.
Now that's a good day
Was a great time at camp!
This was 4 to 5 year's ago right?
Yes, 2020 we went 5 for 5. Then 4 for 7 and then it’s been pretty poor since then.
Keep those images for your hunters friend, this animal even killed have its own dignity, me go directly to signalisation
Yup everything is about a Trans something 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nie zabijaj 🫎🦌🫎🦌
Start using decoys like the montana's work great attach orange to it
Thanks for the tip, will look into that. Never used a decoy!
@@arrowheadangler I use them and it will definitely bring deer within rifle range
Deer tenderloin is the best 🤤🤤🤤 and deer jerky 🤤🤤🤤
Absolutely delicious!
@arrowheadangler yes
Affirmative
Youve got a great camp up there. Friends, family, tradition, and deer hunting. What more could you ask for?
Exactly! Can’t ask for much more than a great deer camp!
Nice deeer. Looks like he has them front and rear.
Had an 8 on front and 10 on rear. Was a good year!
He had to pull an Arthur real quick
Made my mouth water a little bit 🤤
Fresh venison!
Mighty hunters? Hardly
Way to fill the freezer buds
Thanks. Some good eating for sure!
Good job ! Some good eating there
Definitely good eating!
Maine?
Minnesota! Similar looking though!
I miss those days, When I was a little girl my dad 3 uncles and grandfather and my dad's Best friend would all get together at our house the day before opening,We were farmers so deer were a nuisance, And First light it sounded like a combat zone, Around noon they would come back for lunch (beer)😂 and tell us kids grab the 3 wheelers and go collect the deer, Usually there would be no less than 20
Three wheelers were the best. When we first started going up that’s what we used as kids. We certainly didn’t have the combat zone though, work with a lot of farmers that have the same intention with deer, shoot now, worry later. Good memories for sure. Thanks for sharing!
Maaan. Sounds like you wereiving the dream
Where can 5 guys shoot 20 or more deer? Much less in one day.
Bring back the old Honda big reds. The world doesn’t even know how much they need them
@ericharris893 I collect the Honda ATC's 80 to 88. I buy bran new motors for them $280 and have the original plastic refinished if possible when I can't I buy new ones normally run $90. I have 3 big reds now I just got,one 1982 250 E and two 1984's 250ES models I'm working on one right now when I seen your comment. My every day 3 wheeler is my 110 with reverse ❤️ it I will put any 3 wheeler up against any 4 wheeler
It looks like success
Sure was. Missing one from the picture as well! Good times!
Nice bucks!
Thanks!
Good friends goodtimes good memories
Thanks, definitely great memories and good times!
Looks like success.
Sure was! Some good venison!
I have a couple friends that hunt Northwest Ontario and their deer populations up. There’s been quite a bit of success rate. They said that one of the biggest things as they upped the harvest for Timberwolves last five years for hunting and trapping and the Ontario MNR has said this is a help that deer population. Something we definitely don’t have in the MNDNR is a predator control plan especially the arrowhead
That’s good to hear. Would be nice to at least have a few more animals back on the landscape. I have not heard the same for the area. In areas like Kenora, Dryden, and Atikokan it’s been very difficult to harvest Whitetails. I believe it’s always been that you can harvest up to two wolves with either a hunter or trapping tag in northwest Ontario. I’m not entirely certain on zones. Attached here is an article which is what I have found from 2022 in the Kenora paper discussing the difficult deer recovery since 2013-14 winters. www.kenoraminerandnews.com/opinion/columnists/the-livewell-tough-go-for-sunset-country-deer-hunters Would be great to have a predator plan and I think it could benefit certain areas. If you look at the Minnesota website they have a wolf plan written and I believe they would be open to a modest hunting/trapping season as they did in 2012-2014. My cabin isn’t one of those areas. Even if 20% of the wolves were trapped a lot of those deer are going to starve when you have snow depths at 24+ inches in March and April sometimes May. The fact is the ESA has them covered currently and even if they do delist them, our current government officials may not leave it in the hands of the biologists.
Good times. Congratulations!
Thanks! Always a great time at deer camp!
Congrats amigos . Hasta la vista baby . Now for the jerky.👍😎🇺🇸
Few pounds of jerky for sure!
Thank you 💜💜💜💜
Thanks!
Cool❤❤❤
Eating good in the neighborhood
Absolutely!
That's how it is for me and my family every year
Hopefully these good times come back soon for us! Always a great time for my camp!
Who tf killing a spike like unless you like 6 bro don’t do that
To each their own sir. In my area spikes are lucky to even make it a year if we get bad winter weather. We’ve shot 2 deer in the last 3 years. It’s a tough area to hunt. Not many deer.
Bro u cant tell someone what kind of animal to harvest as long as its legal..i know your just a gen z kid that dont understand life, but your wrong. A doe may be a trophy to someone..a spike may be a trophy to someone..and alot of men harvest animals for the meat buddy..so dont judge someone and dont berate the hunting community. Would love to see you hunt only public land in a area like Louisiana, Florida or such. Your probably not fill a tag w that attitude
@@arrowheadanglerwhat state?
Minnesota
They’re just tired
Great video. Great to be with family.
Thank you, definitely a great time at camp with friends and family!
We can't shoot 4 points in Mississippi and it shows. We are killing big bucks.😮
APR seems to work in some areas. Really wouldn’t make a difference where we hunt. Lucky to see a deer.
So instead of 100 pound deer you now only shoot 150 pound deer? Mississippi deer look like dogs
Why the friendly fire? I am all for veteran hunters letting the little ones go but Might have been a kid. Those other 2 are nice bucks. And they get 2 weeks to gun hunt, not 2 months like the south. I’m glad they went home happy. Those Northern deer camps are a special, unique experience. I love hunting Georgia now but I miss those few days spent in the north woods with old friends, grandpas, dads, sons and Uncles.
What I see here is death for the less fortunate.
Sounds like they did it with no hunting license
@@CadeandjadaVincent absolutely not, we only promote fair, ethical, and legal pursuit of game animals. It does become a race against the ice when it dips below freezing, since we have so many miles of water and a river to break through!
Great harvest guys
Thanks sir. We put a lot of effort for a couple chunks of venison. But we love it!
@arrowheadangler definitely tasty stuff enjoy your harvest
Deer or no deer it's always a good time at deer camp . Thank you for filming your time spent at camp and in the wilds of Minnesota .
That’s all we enjoy doing. Deer are a bonus. Sure I’d love to tag out on a world class whitetail every year or even put some meat in the freezer but I also realize I don’t hunt in a whitetail Mecca.
Thanks For The Great Deer Camp Footage, sound s like your season was like mine seen deer on the cams at night not much moving in the day light! but still nothing like DEER CAMP. Thanks Again!
Thank you! Too bad your camp had a similar season. More for next year!
Why don't you let them grow up
The two mature bucks are plenty old enough. Not going to get any larger and likely wouldn’t make it more than another year where we hunt. The smaller one could be passed but again, no guarantees you’ll even see another deer. It’s bucks only where we hunt. Has been for 12 years straight. Very few deer.
Maby shut season down a couple years so herd can build back up that's what they do when deer gets hit in area's with cdw it works and the herd will be more productive
