So if 2 1x1 statues are worth 60 points combined, and one 1x2 statue is worth only 36 points, does that make 1x1 statues the most space-efficient statue? Does that mean having an entire base full of 1x1 shiny statues is the most points you can get? Unless there is a statue limit.

I feel like I should mention this because it's pretty awesome. At 11:55, you can see his map. That area with tons of hallways in the top left is phenomenal for treasure spots. It will always spawn 7 locations. Then, you can enter and exit a room to respawn them. I got 14 shiny statues in a row by doing this during the light stone period.

I've not tested this extensively, but using the mallet on every 4th (instead of chiseling every 3rd as AJP does), but starting in the same top-left corner seems to yield more consistent results (and works better for treasure smaller than 3x3).
A good way to remember the 12 spots are that the top left spot is two down and two right from the top left corner, and each of the other spots are two away from each other
@@M0gwr question, are you able to trade without having the Nintendo online subscription? I fear it's a no but I don't really play anything online so it was kinda a waste when I did have it
It would be cool if we got boosted shiny odds for finding a shiny statue of a specific pokemon (ie boosted shiny odds for Pikachu if pikachu shiny statue) but the shiny statue is harder to find

So I noticed when I have an electric statue AND an ice statue, it only said that ice types are more likely to appear. Are you only able to boost 1 specific type of Pokémon at a time, like fire as used in your example? Great video btw, the process of getting these things seemed dreadfully slow at first but now it actually seems like a fun thing to grind
Your ice statue probably had more point value than your electric one. If you're going for a specific type of Pokemon you want, it's best to just use a certain typing of statues in your base. Final evos, legendaries, and shiny statues of all kinds are best for that.

I wish the shiny statues weren't just all the dark jade green. It looks really nice, but it'd be cool if they were colored to match their main Type or something like that.
When the Light Stone is active, I ONLY prioritize the statues. When I find it, I mash the hammer tool to speed out of the dig. It saves time on the end screen not going through all the other loot, so you can maximize the number of statues in the 5 minute window!
The dugging master says that shiny statues effects cab be share with others. Would be great to see a group of people with the same statues to see the max shiny amount possible and see if that garantees a shiny.

Going for a chain for shiny Ditto as my first shiny, minding my business, just chilling and watching your playlists while hunting using the method you taught. I GOT SHINY DITTO ON MY SECOND RESET/ATTEMPT WITH A CHAIN OF TWO. (I know it’s not exactly your method with a chain of 40, but I almost cried.) so thank you :) lol
6:58 you can WHATi've literally just been mashong my poor guy's face into the wall hitting A over and over again- very glad I checked to see if there was a better way!!!
you can also slightly see through the cracks if there's something underneath, like at 9:15 the cracked tile has a little bit of pink underneath it where the cracks come together. Happy hunting, trainers!!
The underground is best feature in game. I only have two badges but am addicted hunting for statues and finding surprise Pokemon and building up sphere stash to get good items etc. This feature saved the game for me at least .
I'm almost positive there's a way to dig up pedestals too, they're just MUCH rarer, since after you complete the 'play online with others' mission the old man gives you he says something about digging spots with a different colour and that you can dig up pedestals too, either that or I misred something

Take out the ice statue so you have more electric points than ice points

thanks a bunch, that tactic is actually way more efficient than the one i was using since the original gen 4
The statues points aren't based on their evolution. They are based on the size of the statue. Small, medium, and large
