This is a review of the new iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. In this review, I go over my experience with the iPhone 16 Pro and the iPhone 16 Pro Max one week later, and discuss whether or not either phone is worth it.

Yeah, Apple has the stats and says people are now upgrading on average every four years. As a result, they target generational leaps every 4-5 years, which not only makes sense but is also good for business. Even Samsung has followed suit and they have slowed down their yearly changes. It's easy to forget that after 17 years, smartphones are now mature, and from now on, the changes will be minimal. I always tell creators who say they are bored that maybe it's time to move on and leave the forum to people who see things differently.
@@andyH_Englandyeah I will say that with our current levels of tech it’s gonna be hard to get significant upgrades year over year. We’ve gotten to the point where the phone is pretty much all screen so all that can be done there is improving the quality. Same with the cameras and other hardware. All of these things are not things that are going to look significantly different year over year.
@@Insidious-K Indeed, I consider myself fortunate to have been entwined in the evolution of smartphones, from their inception to the present day, spanning a period of seventeen years. It has been an incredible journey. I acknowledge that newcomers to the industry may not find it as thrilling, but they should remember the remarkable pieces of technology they have at their fingertips at all times, and that is something worth celebrating. Personally, coming from Sinclair PCs to the current state of technology, I always treat even iterative upgrades with delight.
No it is not, I am still rocking my 11 Pro Max. I was ready to upgrade this year but WOW.. big letdown. No full screen display still and no 3-4 day battery life.
I’m really happy with the 16 pro. Got it in black it’s my first apple product since the iPhone 6. Used to use LG then went to Samsung. Just came from the base s23 and I do really like it. Lacks a little customization but otherwise it feels a lot better.

I love my 16 Pro, coming from 15 Pro Max , I down sized , I missed the bigger battery but am used to the screen
6.3 is the best size , it’s compactness is second to none

I’m upgrading to iPhone 16pro. From a iPhone 12 . So it’s going be worth the upgrade for me!

My unpopular opinion: if it ain't broke and still has iOS support, don't buy a new one.
Like any other iPhone Pro, 16 Pro will do the job.

Currently still using my XS I got back in like 2019. But thinking about getting an upgrade. Since the 16 is out the 15’s prices should be down. Is the 16 enough of an upgrade to warrant its purchase or should I just save like $400 by getting last year’s pro?

I have 14 pro max and I am thinking of 16 pro but the only value is USBC
I have same but I think there’s also value in action button and when Siri 2.0 comes, otherwise I don’t think I would consider upgrading but I really am
I upgraded from the 13 pro and this is an amazing phone, this dude is dumb!
I have the 13 pro and it is no significant difference to spend another 1k only for a camera upgrade.
While most reviews seem to focus on the little incremental changes to the camera system, how many ‘close to being fanboy’ reviewers did a thorough test on what is the first on any Apple device ever, WiFi7? If they have actually crippled the 320mhz channel width, making thr iPhone 16 really just a WiFi6E device, why is that being ignored for ‘camera review’. Please direct me to a reviewer wh
I have a question for you please . So let’s say you have a 13 pro and then get 16 pro would that mean the pictures on instagram come out better with the 16 pro? Or would the differences be negligible?( I don’t use zoom )

Why 16 pro get warm when watching TH-cam video ?
I've been using Apple Intelligence on the iPhone 15PM for almost two months now, and I think the initial AI features are really impressive. If you had tried them out on the beta, you might not be so negative about them.
I have a feeling that some popular TH-cam creators are being biased in their reviews to manipulate the algorithms by not using these and planting the intentional negativity that because they are not there, they may never come or that it is simply something that they want to flex on. It is also worth noting that Apple marketed AI, but at no time at WWDC or the iPhone launch did they say it would be ready in September.

1/ AI responds to messages and nails it most of the time (smart reply I think it is called).
2/ Writing Tools. As I type most of the day for work, proofreading or rewriting is a massive boom, and it has saved me £160 a year as it replaces Grammarly.
3/ Summarize web pages.
4/ Clean Up. You'll need to download the LLM first.
5/ Priority messages in mail.
6/ Notification summaries.
7/ Fast voice dictation and more accurate.
8/ Better typing corrections.
9/ Photo search
These all add value and are now part and parcel of my daily routine.
I have had thise features for awhile now, Samsung gave it to me with the s24 😂
@@AK-fm6di that is probably true for Samsung and Google but I’m using an iPhone so these are all new to me. They’re only part of what’s coming as part two comes in December. As is the case with Google they have loads of stuff lined up as well.
My point though was that he didn’t highlight these features were coming as they were already available in beta and he made it sound as if it wasn’t a big deal but of course, it will be for iPhone users catching up with Google and Samsung.

@@joyjeetpaul2218 I would wait until we see what apple intelligence really is. The 15 is still a great phone and if apples ai features turn out to be nothing more than gimmicks, I would wait for the iPhone 17.

Seems to be a broad issue with battery drain on the 16 Pro and Pro Max. I am facing the same issue on my 16 Pro.

I upgraded to get $30 off my phone bill. That was the only feature that mattered to me.

Upgrading is a pain. So far I see no compelling reason to do so.
I really enjoy your reviews. You speak well and straight to the point. My only recommendation would be chapters.
With regards to the phone. I really like it coming from the iphone 11. However battery is not as good as expected and I find my phone getting warm, hopefully something they can patch. The camera control is also way too high. It needs to be 1cm lower to make sense from my perspective. It's an uncomfortable reach for me, which makes me revert to the on screen controls, so currently I do not use this button.
