@@gazi5903 I had my left eye, esotropia, corrected at 14. It is still straight. I had surgery on my right eye, turned down, at 35. It was out of alignment after the surgery, still turned down. It did hold stable placement. However, the eye after 50 years had also shifted out. I had both misalignments corrected last week. It looks good. I also have amblyopia. My sister had it corrected at 18 in one eye. She had a second surgery later but I am unsure of the time frame or if the surgery was done on the same eye or the other. I am guessing sometime in her 30’s. She is now in her 50’s and her eyes look straight. She also has amblyopia. Amblyopia is very common in strabismus because the brain only accepts the vision from one eye to eliminate double vision. I had good results for a very long time, but I know that sometimes a second surgery can be needed.
There is always the choice to do nothing. But be aware that there are visual and social issues associated with strabismus. The choice you make will be determined by your personal beliefs and goals.
Please tell me how long the surgery results will last if the eye vision is C.F., it's esotropia.
This varies from person to person
