Thank you! Edgar definitely filled the need of Vampires in my aresenal. There's so many new things since Lost Caverns of Ixalan came out. Keep an eye out for my redux!
Appreciate the video! Markov is one of my favourite commanders to play, interesting to see some of your choices with a deck similarly priced to mine Looking forward to more
Edgar is my first commander deck and with the upcoming innistrad set it only seemed fitting to get this deck tech out there. Thank you for your interest and there will be more soon.
It's a good list. I went the full route. I got some great ideas from you for alternates to swap out depending on my play group. I like the legions landing alot. Phyrexian reclamation as well. What I like about Edgar is you can go budget and I think yours works because it sticks to a game plan that's specific. Mine is more wide because im running all the tutors and shocks and fetches. Both strategies can work effectively. Yours has some surprises which give you an edge I don't have
Best wishes to you for your Edgar Markov build! I got the precon for $100 about 3 years ago and have learned a lot from it. If you are going budget I would suggest going wide as quickly as you can and buffing all your creatures to keep the aggresion going in Edgar.
Kinda confused about what you said about yahenni. I may have missed something, but yahenni on her own can only make herself indestructable, not markov aswell.
You're totally right. Lots of things run through my mind and sometimes I slip up with the presentation. I hope at the very least you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching!
Hey dude! first of all: Great video! i like it verry much! But i got a question, you recommended a different sorin, would you have please the name of it? :) Would be a great help! Thanks mate and keep up the great work!
Hey! Thank you! Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord comes to my mind when swapping out Sorin. You can activate any 3 loyalty abilities as soon as he drops. Depending on what situation you're in he can just about help you with anything, and it's only for 2B. Hope that helps!
@@HauntedOnee Thank you very much for the fast answer! And yes it helps a lot :) i was unsure because there is a sorin in the 21 main set and in the 20, so i was unsure wich one you mean, thats the reason why i ask ^^
Yea, I had my worries especially being a newish player and have had a few toxic encounters playing Magic. I certainly won't mind people's opinion as much anymore. Thanks for watching!
You should use risk factors and maybe some grim tutors or mix in some triple lands for islands take down some swamps with counters or Opts and Notion Rains to keep the deck flowing, paying life in a lifeline deck wouldn't matter much. If you can do all colors run Elenda, Mavren, Heroic Intervention for board wipes so Elenda gets buff and village rights. There's alot you can still do for the deck.
just curious why you dont run Elinda the dusk rose? Also Blood Baron of Vizkopa is good for life gain strats. you could also use Twilight prophet, Drana's emisarry, Indulging Patrician, cliffhaven Vampire. Sorin Imperious Bloodlord is another great planeswalker Etching of the chosen, Rally the ranks, Radiant Destiny For enchantments. Anguished Unmaking, Path to exile and despark are better single target removal. Boros charm for some added protection. Akroma's Will a new instant from commander legends is great for lifegam strat. Heralds horn and Icon of Ancestry are also really good for your vamp deck. The sanguine Bond/Exquisite Blood combo is "cool" and all but from the looks of it you dont have any reliable way of actually getting the combo off. that and you really shouldnt "need" that combo that and i personally hate that win con :D
There will be an updated video for the decklist next month after Crimson Vow spoilers. However, lifegain is a fun and cool way to win with Edgar Markov. I appreciate your thoughts on this one. Cards like Elenda, The Dusk Rose, Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord, Anguished Unmaking, Swords to Plowshares, Boros Charm and Akroma's Will are all great cards to put into Edgar. Which all will be in the next video I make of him with a new strategy because I think lifegain is not the way to go with Edgar especially with how the general meta is right now. We want a quicker aggro markov that is going wide right away and buffing those later on. Infinite Combos such as Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond are cool to some but after playing it over and over again; it has been stale for awhile now. Anyway, hope that answers your questions. Feel free to subscribe and keep yourself notified with the updated video on Edgar. Thanks!
@@HauntedOnee My Edgar deck leans more with +1 counters, with a little bit of lifegain mixed in. Also every Edgar deck Iv seen lately tends to use the blood/bond combo. Though im glad you see that its a boring combo to win by.
Theres actually no official 1v1 banlist. Hes only banned in french regionals and above. Also MTGO which does not affect paper magic. They are seperate banlists.
Yeah, I'm saving up to get most of them. Gonna be updating my list more often once the Vampire Innistrad set comes in. Super hyped for them! Thanks for checking out my video!
It's not always about winning, but the social experience you get playing in the Commander format. If you'd like to win all the time I'd go play cEDH or other formats. Thanks!
Some people set a 500 dollar budget for a deck. So if you then talk about is it a budget it just depend on what you are just to spend on a deck. Some people spend like a 100 so they will say this deck is in their budget its all relative.
Nice video, i love to see others approach to my personal favorite commander

Hey thanks for the feedback! Keep an eye out for a redux for this Commander. There are a few swaps I've made to give it that unpredictability.
@jasonst.george5799 I'd love to see your list, happen to have it handy?
Awesome video. Good camera and good mic makes all the difference. All my decks are really budget (

nice
Could you update that list for march 2022, a lot of new vampires came out
There is an updated list since Lost Caverns of Ixalan had me brewing new things for Edgar Markov. Keep an eye out for the redux!
29 creatures is perfect since markow makes your army for you
My Edgar deck started off as a life gain deck but now is a full sacrifice combo deck
Seems like a really good theme for Edgar after a few sets with new Vamps! Hope it's been fun for you!
Kinda confused about what you said about yahenni. I may have missed something, but yahenni on her own can only make herself indestructable, not markov aswell.
I totally said that Yahenni can give Edgar indestructible. Wow, I apologize for the confusion.
Not sure if this is what you were getting at but Yahenni can’t give Edgar Indestructible
top comment i was looking for

Sorin planeswalkers?
Imperious Bloodlord for the win and the only planeswalker you'll need. If you're on a budget, Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord.
Worries about upsetting people but plays one of the most powerful commanders ever made lol

Land base is so off, to many slow lands cut slow land and add duels or basic lands , add rocks for red
Yes, land package is not nearly as good as it should be. I highly recommend upgrading the lands!
hm for this deck bro?

Still remember your reaction when u found out edgar is banned 1v1😂
I couldn't believe it at the time but now I understand why lol.

Dude zero shame if you don't have the cash to play the crazy lands man.

Nice. $500 spent in a format where people can go years without winning a single game.

Can someone tell me how 500 dollars is budget 😂😂
