I believe you have to choose one. His ability states the first Instant "or" sorcery you cast each turn. If it had "and" then I would think you could cast both for 3 less.

That's a really good question, and I took the time to research some ruling with dual spells. No matter if it has fuse or if it's a split card like Commit // Memory; it still counts as one card. Melek will still see it as either a single instant card or a single sorcery card making him a 2/2. (Of course if it's the only spell in your graveyard.) Hope this helps!

I haven't made any adjustments in particular because I've moved on from this deck. However, Orcus, Prince of Death and Balor stick out to me the most. If it's in your budget I'd look into upgrading the land base.

It's hard to choose what to do with Veyran. Both of her abilities scream value. I'd invest into storm and lots of 1 mana cantrips to keep fueling that storm. Try to put the best storm pay offs in there along with magecraft too. So like, Aetherflux Reservoir, Brain Freeze, Aria's Flame, Grapeshot, Thousand-Year Storm to name a few. I'd also look into Veilstone Amulet and Leering Emblem since they both trigger twice with Veyran out. If you need to put more counter spells in because of your Meta then do so. Pace yourself with Veyran; you've already won with such a low mana curve.

There were a few jokes thrown at me for that. Especially since I used to play Yu-Gi-Oh. I hope you figured out the groove for Kadena! There's a lot of new stuff for her from Murders at Karlov Manor!

I have not updated this recently. I can advise to stick with one mana cantrips so that the curve keeps getting lowered for Veyran and you can keep going with slinging spells.

Any card you don't see in the deck I don't have. Otherwise yeah, a Rhystic Study would be nice to keep card draw coming in.

After it enters the battlefield under your control, I give control of it to an opponent. After that it damages my opponent because of the "you" on the card which means it's controller.

@@CinoMTG ...But you don't "control" the card anymore. You still "own" it, but as it is on your opponent's field, it's under your opponent's control. Your reasoning is like saying you play Gilded Drake, but your opponent still controls the creature you stole.

You're right, I still own it and yes I don't have control of it because I gave it to an opponent. However, "you" on the card means it's controller. So whoever is controlling it they will be taking 2 damage on their upkeep. Not it's owner.

@@CinoMTG Understood, but my main point is that it would not contribute to Rakdos' reduction because the damage would not happen on your turn. That's why its not particularly helpful for the deck, other than just picking on one other player.

Pretty close to an 8 pl. Not cedh unless you have all 0 drop mana rocks and a better land package.

If you casting/copying were to happen all three would trigger. Veyran would get +2/+2, Sprite Dragon would get 2 counters and you would gain 2 life from Aetherflux depending on how many spells you have casted that turn. Aetherflux gains you a lot of life if you've casted a bunch of spells in a turn. Archmage Emeritus triggers twice so you draw two cards. There's been numerous times where I've casted enough instant and sorceries that I can one shot my opponents because she's a 30/30.

On another note, I ended up putting Veyran in my Partners deck Vial Smasher and Sakashima and because Vial Smasher is a "Whenever" ability Veyran triggers that twice as long as I casted an instant or a sorcery spell.

Imperious Bloodlord for the win and the only planeswalker you'll need. If you're on a budget, Sorin, Vengeful Bloodlord.

I'm glad my deck could help in some form. Highly recommend getting Tibalt's Trickery, Red Elemental Blast and Pyroblast for that spellslinger friend.

Bloodstained Mire is NOT necessary for a Rakdos deck, but if it is in the budget; I highly suggest getting a better land package for him.

Yes, land package is not nearly as good as it should be. I highly recommend upgrading the lands!

You're right. $350 is far from budget, but this isn't a budget video. It's my personal deck with a value of $350. The point of this was to show off my deck and maybe help others build their own deck.

9:11 the spell you were thinking of was reiterate which is the 3 drop that if you pay 6 you can buy it back but it essentially does the same thing as reverberate.

It's very high-brain power for sure. I would say it's an 8 just because I don't have the expensive mana rocks or the og dual lands. This deck usually wins on turn 5 or 6 sometimes 4.

Some people set a 500 dollar budget for a deck. So if you then talk about is it a budget it just depend on what you are just to spend on a deck. Some people spend like a 100 so they will say this deck is in their budget its all relative.

There will be an updated video for the decklist next month after Crimson Vow spoilers. However, lifegain is a fun and cool way to win with Edgar Markov. I appreciate your thoughts on this one. Cards like Elenda, The Dusk Rose, Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord, Anguished Unmaking, Swords to Plowshares, Boros Charm and Akroma's Will are all great cards to put into Edgar. Which all will be in the next video I make of him with a new strategy because I think lifegain is not the way to go with Edgar especially with how the general meta is right now. We want a quicker aggro markov that is going wide right away and buffing those later on. Infinite Combos such as Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond are cool to some but after playing it over and over again; it has been stale for awhile now. Anyway, hope that answers your questions. @@CinoMTG My Edgar deck leans more with +1 counters, with a little bit of lifegain mixed in. Also every Edgar deck Iv seen lately tends to use the blood/bond combo. Though im glad you see that its a boring combo to win by.
