These well established companies will release unfinished games with mictrotransactions and ads, and add miniscule upgrades or mechanics that upset the balance of the already glitchy game. bro i'm not even shocked at this point, all madden 20 really is this year is superstar x factor returning and the pro bowl, brighter graphics I guess, new tackle and sack animations, gameplay got a tiny bit smoother, the game still has the exact same glitches and bugs from last year and maybe even more this year, and honestly that's about it and it pains me that they haven't done a single thing to franchise mode but add in the pro bowl. It's just sad man
Ryan, I have also noticed audio incorrections, at least from the stadium announcer ( I use the "on field" setting without the broadcasters). This week, in a Chargers vs Jaguars matchup, he announced "Touchdown Dolphins". It that wasn't dumb enough, when Nick Foles completed a pass to TE James O'Shaughnessy, he announced "pass by Foles completed to AUSTIN SEFERIAN-JENKINS". I'm not sure about how he put the Dolphins in it, but I'm pretty sure that the TE thing was because ASJ was playing for the Jaguars last year, so he was at JAX on Madden 19 and they clearly left some code lines from last year's game, basically the same thing you show us with the banners on practice mode. The last Madden I actually had fun with was Madden 15. Routes were run as they are meant to, no players going willingly off the field when running past the endzone,etc. But that was before Frostbite came to nail the coffin on the game. I feel like this is the first time I regret buying Madden.

At least animations are down but that doesn't mean disable the tackle button. The broken tackles are insane, no real life physics at all they didn't even try.

Madden 19! I thought it was bad enough that the solo descriptions, menus, and even certain cards are rife with spelling errors and typos, but this is next level. Such little care goes into this game that you just have to laugh sometimes.
Don’t know if it’s still in the game or not as I have not & will not be purchasing Madden 20, but whenever Reebok was no longer a shoe that was in Madden, you could still see all the players wearing Reebok shoes during the sideline animations (kneeling, etc).
PSA for people who bought madden 19 just to be disappointed: Regardless of your playtime, if you would like a refund, simply put out a ticket for a refund saying that "You're son bought the game without your permission" or "You bought the game using the wrong card". Works every time. I did so with about 50 hours played, spent those 50 hours doing a season in franchise after the joke of a story mode, and laughing at MUT this year. This years MUT seems like it took a huge step towards a mobile game with all that challenge bullshit. They couldn't even make a decent looking menu for MUT, Madden Mobile has a better menu system.
There was a great podcast with the former Madden Lead Designer (Rex something-or-other?) which was very eye-opening. He went into detail about how EA wants as many modes as possible to attract as many buyers as possible. Despite his yearly warnings about how it would be best for the game, overall, to focus their resources on one or two core modes and get them as clean and sharp as possible and then, and only then, dedicating resources to other modes. But fighting against the marketing dept. was an uphill, unwinnable battle. It is what ultimately lead to his departure.
I know it probably wasn't intentional, but I think it works as a humorous little Easter egg: a banner slogan from a previous game. They should put more of them in places you wouldn't normally look. You know, a game within a game. Find all the funny signs. Have fans holding up funny signs and stuff.
I would like to apologize Ryan. I’ve played 1 full season of franchise mode in Madden 20 and it’s broken beyond belief. QBs don’t scramble when you tell them to scramble. I was only controlling a RB and when I called for a deep pass it locked in place and wouldn’t let me move towards the pass. Blocking is still terrible. Interceptions are scripted right when the ball is thrown. I have been enlightened.
Aaand queue the madden fan boys saying “you’re just a hater” even though clear evidence of cut and paste has just been presented. Madden devs = some of the laziest devs in the video game world.
The problem is most people look at this and say “oh it’s nothing it doesn’t affect the game or anything”, when in reality it just shows the bigger issue.

I stopped playing Madden, when I threw a 50 yard pass and the opposing teams defender swatted the ball back to the line of scrimmage. My Running back somehow for some reason caught it for negative yards... Haven't bought Madden in two years.
At the grocery store I work at we have this lottery game called Xtreme Football where you basically bet on video game football. I swear in most cases it looks like a better simulation of actual football then Madden does.
It's honestly bush league stuff right there 😂 and this is why I stopped buying Madden. Hopefully one day soon we can have a football game we can be proud of, until them ESPN 2K5 it is!
bro I was playing an exhibition madden 20 raiders vs cowboys game (just for whatever) and when a ball was incomplete and was intended for Antonio Brown, the announcer Charles Davis said "it's never a bad idea to try get it to Antonio brown but it must be a little bit of the madden curse for our cover athlete here" which was a scrapped up line I heard from last year. This company truly just doesn't even care anymore and it's just sad.
I have recently just started watching your videos and I appreciate how you have dissected this game. I was getting ready to purchase this and I am going to wait I have madden 18 which I had a few issues with but by far there are major issues with this game. Playing at the Linc in Philly the old Spectrum stadium where Flyers and Sixers played was still in the background as of Madden 2016 that was the last Madden I Bought and will ever buy...The Spectrum was Demolished in 2010. I wouldnt be surprised if its still in there

Madden 19! I thought it was bad enough that the solo descriptions, menus, and even certain cards are rife with spelling errors and typos, but this is next level. Such little care goes into this game that you just have to laugh sometimes.
Don’t know if it’s still in the game or not as I have not & will not be purchasing Madden 20, but whenever Reebok was no longer a shoe that was in Madden, you could still see all the players wearing Reebok shoes during the sideline animations (kneeling, etc).
Lmao. Absolutely hilarious. They Should be sued for selling as a new game.. it’s at best an update or DLC

PSA for people who bought madden 19 just to be disappointed:
Regardless of your playtime, if you would like a refund, simply put out a ticket for a refund saying that "You're son bought the game without your permission" or "You bought the game using the wrong card". Works every time. I did so with about 50 hours played, spent those 50 hours doing a season in franchise after the joke of a story mode, and laughing at MUT this year. This years MUT seems like it took a huge step towards a mobile game with all that challenge bullshit. They couldn't even make a decent looking menu for MUT, Madden Mobile has a better menu system.

There was a great podcast with the former Madden Lead Designer (Rex something-or-other?) which was very eye-opening. He went into detail about how EA wants as many modes as possible to attract as many buyers as possible. Despite his yearly warnings about how it would be best for the game, overall, to focus their resources on one or two core modes and get them as clean and sharp as possible and then, and only then, dedicating resources to other modes. But fighting against the marketing dept. was an uphill, unwinnable battle. It is what ultimately lead to his departure.
I know it probably wasn't intentional, but I think it works as a humorous little Easter egg: a banner slogan from a previous game. They should put more of them in places you wouldn't normally look. You know, a game within a game. Find all the funny signs. Have fans holding up funny signs and stuff.
Wow that's sad they really don't care that why I didn't buy the game this year

I would like to apologize Ryan. I’ve played 1 full season of franchise mode in Madden 20 and it’s broken beyond belief. QBs don’t scramble when you tell them to scramble. I was only controlling a RB and when I called for a deep pass it locked in place and wouldn’t let me move towards the pass. Blocking is still terrible. Interceptions are scripted right when the ball is thrown. I have been enlightened.
Aaand queue the madden fan boys saying “you’re just a hater” even though clear evidence of cut and paste has just been presented. Madden devs = some of the laziest devs in the video game world.
They gotta fix this though!

I stopped playing Madden, when I threw a 50 yard pass and the opposing teams defender swatted the ball back to the line of scrimmage. My Running back somehow for some reason caught it for negative yards... Haven't bought Madden in two years.
At the grocery store I work at we have this lottery game called Xtreme Football where you basically bet on video game football.
I swear in most cases it looks like a better simulation of actual football then Madden does.
It just goes to show how recycled this game is year to year.
It's honestly bush league stuff right there 😂 and this is why I stopped buying Madden. Hopefully one day soon we can have a football game we can be proud of, until them ESPN 2K5 it is!

bro I was playing an exhibition madden 20 raiders vs cowboys game (just for whatever) and when a ball was incomplete and was intended for Antonio Brown, the announcer Charles Davis said "it's never a bad idea to try get it to Antonio brown but it must be a little bit of the madden curse for our cover athlete here" which was a scrapped up line I heard from last year. This company truly just doesn't even care anymore and it's just sad.

Playing at the Linc in Philly the old Spectrum stadium where Flyers and Sixers played was still in the background as of Madden 2016 that was the last Madden I Bought and will ever buy...The Spectrum was Demolished in 2010. I wouldnt be surprised if its still in there
Playing madden for 25 years the was a pinnacle and I always thought I'm can't wait to see what it looks like in the future probably 2004ish but it seems alot less stunning now days to the point I don't even wanna play it
