I remember back in 07-08 when Madden Superstar had interviews, ego rating, in game grading after every play, apartments agent hiring and contract negotiations... on a PS2 game... lmaooo what happened??
They were using the same madden engine from 2004 when they were actually competing with 2k. They made a new engine when the ps3 came around, so the features couldn't transfer to the new engine, and they didn't bother to add them back in because they didn't have any competition. Madden knows that they aren't going to lose sales for making a bad football game, since football fans are going to buy a football game either way, and there aren't any other NFL football games out there that they can buy instead if madden is bad. Instead they divert all their resources into things that can make them more money like MUT and the Yard

The devs will 100% bring up these issues to scrum meetings, the project managers will see these issues but the project managers wont allocate resources towards a fix because the bug has nothing to do with active money comming in to the company (resources being time dedicated to fix the bug). Find a bug that affects their micro transactions in a negative manner and 100% the bug will be fixed within hours if not minutes. I know this from experience.

Hey man. I work and run a GS. It's not a threat trust me. The guaranteed to love it promo only gives back trade credit. Which can only then be spent in GS. Plus the game gets "traded in" using a coupon code on the receipt when you purchase madden. So for GS, you've bought the game. (Which NGL not any profit but whatever.) Then you spend the trade credit in store (Which is good for you cause you dont want madden and get literally anything else) Then the game gets sold as pre owned which boosts numbers for the shareholders. Considering as GS is a pawn shop (lol @ people thinking they should get 50$ for 5 year old sports games), primary investors are more interested in profit driven via trade. So yeah.
You are 100 percent on point with your take on Madden. I have purchased every Madden since 1995. I did not buy Madden 20 because they refuse to improve their game. They add new things that take forever to learn and then take them out. EA really needs to honor the memory of John Madden and his love for the game.
Hope you do a follow up on this of hundreds of Gamestop stores (around 450) now closing shortly after the release of Madden 21. I have ZERO doubt that TLOU2 and Madden 21 contributed HEAVILY to that. Two major AAA titles that Gamestop probably has HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of copies of both games that are just sitting in boxes in their storerooms collecting dust.

Agree with everything here. I want to add that these errors will get the NFL marketing team’s attention at the highest levels. Wrong logos for teams, team names spelled wrong, etc. Anyone that works in marketing, branding, publishing etc. knows these type of errors are not acceptable by their clients especially at a product launch.

I don’t know if it’s only on the Washington Football Team field but about 1/10 of the time I play online it’s a completely blank field with only green grass everywhere.
I work at Gamestop and idk about other stores but mine didn’t get a lot of returns under the “Guaranteed to Love It” deal besides me returning it myself. They usually do that for big games like Madden, 2K, COD, etc. I’m one of the franchise people that was upset with the continued lack of attention to the mode and improvement to the game in general and I returned it within the 48 hours. The old trade credit meme is a whole other story but it bothered me having to push a game that I knew would likely be a disappointment to a lot of people even though a lot of casual players have no problem because they can get their football fix.
Keep preaching this, everyone needs to see it. Its been FAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaar too long. This game should look INSANE graphically by now. Just that alone. The newest madden looks like the one that launched for xbox one in 2013. Sad.
Every major company is killing their products by letting their most talented employees walk and replacing them with cheaper, inexperienced options. This is happening in every industry. They are doing this to cut expenses in order to keep improving their profit margins. They believe that their products will stay the easy choice based on brand recognition, so they have no issue harming it's quality and it's support staff's quality. John Deere is doing this, EA and many development studios are doing it, and lots ofbtech companies are doing this.

The last Madden game I bought was 15. I stopped buying it for all of these exact reasons. I was considering getting it this year because of the pandemic and I just miss sports. I really hope that the next generation version does an overhaul of the animations. we've been seeing the same contested catch animations for the last 4 years. It's at the point where I can tell whether it's going to be a swat, catch, or touchdown, just by the way that the db is positioned.
None of the proper faces show up for the players when loading the game and they do the compare stats for each position with each player, and the end of Face of the Franchise (where you go to the scoreboard naming) is muted. All the dialogue is missing. I have restarted that part 5 times at least, each time its the same. The animations show full blown conversations, and its silent. Like they forgot to add in the ending dialogue.

To me the game just feels like a patch that could of been applied to 20 it litterly feels like theft paying $60 for it when all I can think is this should of been a 3 GB update to Madden 20
Hey man. I work and run a GS. It's not a threat trust me. The guaranteed to love it promo only gives back trade credit. Which can only then be spent in GS.
Plus the game gets "traded in" using a coupon code on the receipt when you purchase madden.
So for GS, you've bought the game. (Which NGL not any profit but whatever.)
Then you spend the trade credit in store
(Which is good for you cause you dont want madden and get literally anything else)
Then the game gets sold as pre owned which boosts numbers for the shareholders.
Considering as GS is a pawn shop (lol @ people thinking they should get 50$ for 5 year old sports games), primary investors are more interested in profit driven via trade.
So yeah.

You are 100 percent on point with your take on Madden. I have purchased every Madden since 1995. I did not buy Madden 20 because they refuse to improve their game. They add new things that take forever to learn and then take them out. EA really needs to honor the memory of John Madden and his love for the game.

Hope you do a follow up on this of hundreds of Gamestop stores (around 450) now closing shortly after the release of Madden 21. I have ZERO doubt that TLOU2 and Madden 21 contributed HEAVILY to that. Two major AAA titles that Gamestop probably has HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of copies of both games that are just sitting in boxes in their storerooms collecting dust.

yeah I noticed that guys like Adams and Brady's jersey were edited on them and its just sad that its edited so bad. There literally a muti-billion dollar company and they can't get someone who can actually edit good. They couldn't even get them to just come have a photo shoot
Agree with everything here. I want to add that these errors will get the NFL marketing team’s attention at the highest levels. Wrong logos for teams, team names spelled wrong, etc. Anyone that works in marketing, branding, publishing etc. knows these type of errors are not acceptable by their clients especially at a product launch.

I don’t know if it’s only on the Washington Football Team field but about 1/10 of the time I play online it’s a completely blank field with only green grass everywhere.
I work at Gamestop and idk about other stores but mine didn’t get a lot of returns under the “Guaranteed to Love It” deal besides me returning it myself. They usually do that for big games like Madden, 2K, COD, etc. I’m one of the franchise people that was upset with the continued lack of attention to the mode and improvement to the game in general and I returned it within the 48 hours. The old trade credit meme is a whole other story but it bothered me having to push a game that I knew would likely be a disappointment to a lot of people even though a lot of casual players have no problem because they can get their football fix.
I'm out, this year. I should've banned this game a LONG time ago.

Every major company is killing their products by letting their most talented employees walk and replacing them with cheaper, inexperienced options.
This is happening in every industry. They are doing this to cut expenses in order to keep improving their profit margins. They believe that their products will stay the easy choice based on brand recognition, so they have no issue harming it's quality and it's support staff's quality.
John Deere is doing this, EA and many development studios are doing it, and lots ofbtech companies are doing this.

The last Madden game I bought was 15. I stopped buying it for all of these exact reasons. I was considering getting it this year because of the pandemic and I just miss sports.
Thanks to all the reviews, I’m glad I held out. Until EA doesn’t have a monopoly on football games, I’m never buying Madden again

I can’t believe they would put that photoshop into the game. EA sports hired one of my friends to do promo work for Madden 21 this year including an Aaron Donald jersey swap to show off ratings. They could have easily had him do the swaps in game. These are pitiful!
When you do practice in franchise mode they got the songs from madden 20 playing in the background.
Ryan I think you hit the nail on the head when you said there should be a lot more pride in this game. There's not. Little things like this show you the consumer and the entire community that the people that make this game don't give to s**** about it
I really hope that the next generation version does an overhaul of the animations. we've been seeing the same contested catch animations for the last 4 years. It's at the point where I can tell whether it's going to be a swat, catch, or touchdown, just by the way that the db is positioned.

None of the proper faces show up for the players when loading the game and they do the compare stats for each position with each player, and the end of Face of the Franchise (where you go to the scoreboard naming) is muted. All the dialogue is missing. I have restarted that part 5 times at least, each time its the same. The animations show full blown conversations, and its silent. Like they forgot to add in the ending dialogue.
I played Madden 08 on 360 for the first time yesterday and it is really fun
