Mat wasn't exactly very accurate, and so what Meteorz covered was more thorough. I'm biased though since I do Meteorz' translations from time to time though.
The thing is a lot of the information was inaccurate. Meteorz for an example, has more proven evidence backing up everything. Plus a lot of the Kirby fandom already knew the information given. (Like how Kirby being called a Pink demon)

See you in another 12 years when we're still not drowning, the ice caps are still growing (NASA Study Ice Caps Expanding not shrinking, 2015) and when all those alarmists who lied and said that the science was on their side are living in their ocean front property that they are still buying (recently Obama). Can't wait for the next doomsday prediction from climate alarmists who have been doing this since at-least the 60's if not earlier, to stir up the fear mongering to try and convince people to give them power and money to solve a problem that's not actually a problem. Not that the environment shouldn't be taken care of, but ridiculous stuff like the Green New Deal would be catastrophic and would cause far more problems, even if it was realistic. Besides these alarmists ignore that the vast majority of the worlds physical pollution (like the islands of plastic in the ocean) don't come from US, it comes from China and India, but that wouldn't fit the narrative that America needs to vote these people into power because we're basically stabbing the planet and draining it's lifeforce like a Mako reactor. But they like to repeat the "2nd largest CO2 emitter!" line (conflating "Carbon emissions" and CO2 emissions which are entirely different) even tho the pseudo-science claim of CO2 actually doing great harm to the environment is full of holes especially when backed with the history of the planet and reaction of plant and animal life (CO2 is not a pollutant, Prager University, by Co-founder of Greenpeace).
It's only a big topic cause people are allowed to talk about whatever they want even if they aren't or haven't been in the position to know anything about the topic they are speaking on
What I really appreciate about game and glim theory is how much MatPat and co listen to the community. Its a nice sign that the fans truly matter. But I hope they don't lose their passion because of mean comments about how everyone knew stuff already. Lots of love to the team!
There is basically no lore at all in the Kirby franchise. I love Kirby but there’s no reason to look at the little lore that exists and expand it, then it would just become speculation and not true facts.

I'm skeptical that the drag is enough to explain the size of this effect to be honest. My own personal theory is that Kirby is filled with the fires of hell, which makes the air warm up and expand.
Honestly, I think that because Kirby is some sort of single cellular organism, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch that when he inhales, he could filter out heavier elements of air through his surface. It probably wouldn't be perfect, and this drag theory probably has a part in it, but we could imagine that it gives him a decent boost in his bouyancy, enough so that just flapping his nubblets results in just barely rising. This theory also explains how Dedede, a much heavier and denser character, of seemingly somewhat similar biology to Kirby, can fly almost as well.
Incidentally, I love the Kirby terrorism theories because I noticed growing up that almost all popular Nintendo toons are outright evil. That said "delgado" means "slender" or "slender male". "del gato" means "of the cat" or "from the cat"

I'll say what I've said to a few other people, check out Meteorz, he'll help keep you up to date on Kirby lore. He's a really good source, remain un-biased, and often updates outdated material.
Also if you want really juicy lore check out WoolieVersus Kirby lore videos he words them really well like it’s some lovecraftian horror story and goes extremely deep.

Kind of missed the photoshop Matpat. Could you maybe use real matpat for scenes like with the balloons, but photoshop matpat was used for everything else?
That could ease the tension a little. Some like when he does a video like the fnaf analysis video goes very well if this format but if he put the photoshopped mat in the 0laces he keeps popping out of it would probably be less jarring and raise in frustration

MatPat, I love the idea of putting yourself in the videos, but could you do it in scenes like the science experiment or like you in front of a whiteboard doing math? I would love to see the photoshopped MatPat at his podium explaining the physics of something AND you doing an experiment to back up the explanation in your videos. It could also be because he heats up the air in his body. Take the balloon example again, however look at it as a hot air balloon this time. As the air heats up he goes higher and as it cools down he sinks. This could explain why he starts to sweat, as his body is heating up. This could also explain why he does damage as he exhales; hot air.
Would an amoeba sweat though? Especially considering the primary purpose of sweat for multicellular animals is to cool us down; that would be counterintuitive evolutionarily speaking if Kirby's flight is achieved with heat. That does raise the question though: if that liquid isn't sweat, what would it be instead?
I wonder if there is a chemical reaction inside him due to some elements in the air that help with his expansion and floatiness in a way to help him heat the air or something.
Woolie, formerly of the Best Friends, made videos about Kirby lore that cover this theory. He doesn't edit as heavily as Matpat, instead he parodies Dark Souls lore videos, and it's pretty great
I just whatched this, cause I'm watching now older Game Theory episodes that I missed in the past, and I love this format, I loved seeing Matt in ftront of the camera explaining the episode in person, not just a voice over, and I wonder why The Game Theorists didn't use this format more often in following episodes, I hope that this format comes back.
I think Kirby has the ability to separate the nitrogen from the oxygen as he sucks in air. The earth's atmosphere is composed of 78% nitrogen and its lighter then air. If he fills himself up with nitrogen it should provide some good lift.
I liked the theory, but to me, this proved how Kirby floats longer, but not how he can flap through the air and keep a steady flight. This didn’t prove how Kirby can actually fly in the air. Really liked it though!
Well, it's iffy at best if he can really fly. He can fly in the main story, but often in the subgames like Kirby Fighters, Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, and even Smash he can only fly for a limited time. Maybe it has something to do with Planet Popstar's gravity? I mean, it is literally shaped like a star.

Give it time and they’ll get used to it. People gave Dorkly soo much crap when they moved on to live-action segments and they hated Tony’s humour. But, when the hissy fits subsided, everyone began to embrace the format and now I look forward to “Nerd History” vídeos in anticipation.

I am glad that he does try and listen to his audience but sometimes even if it is a obvious thing to the big/main community it is still new or not known to those outside of the communities. Also matpat if you read this, please don't let the " I prefer fake matpat " type comments, TH-cam and gaming community is......strange and maybe uneasily unstable but it doesn't mean that the format is bad just requires 1. See you in another 12 years when we're still not drowning, the ice caps are still growing (NASA Study Ice Caps Expanding not shrinking, 2015) and when all those alarmists who lied and said that the science was on their side are living in their ocean front property that they are still buying (recently Obama).
Can't wait for the next doomsday prediction from climate alarmists who have been doing this since at-least the 60's if not earlier, to stir up the fear mongering to try and convince people to give them power and money to solve a problem that's not actually a problem.
Not that the environment shouldn't be taken care of, but ridiculous stuff like the Green New Deal would be catastrophic and would cause far more problems, even if it was realistic. Besides these alarmists ignore that the vast majority of the worlds physical pollution (like the islands of plastic in the ocean) don't come from US, it comes from China and India, but that wouldn't fit the narrative that America needs to vote these people into power because we're basically stabbing the planet and draining it's lifeforce like a Mako reactor.
But they like to repeat the "2nd largest CO2 emitter!" line (conflating "Carbon emissions" and CO2 emissions which are entirely different) even tho the pseudo-science claim of CO2 actually doing great harm to the environment is full of holes especially when backed with the history of the planet and reaction of plant and animal life (CO2 is not a pollutant, Prager University, by Co-founder of Greenpeace).

I'm skeptical that the drag is enough to explain the size of this effect to be honest. My own personal theory is that Kirby is filled with the fires of hell, which makes the air warm up and expand.
Honestly, I think that because Kirby is some sort of single cellular organism, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch that when he inhales, he could filter out heavier elements of air through his surface. It probably wouldn't be perfect, and this drag theory probably has a part in it, but we could imagine that it gives him a decent boost in his bouyancy, enough so that just flapping his nubblets results in just barely rising. This theory also explains how Dedede, a much heavier and denser character, of seemingly somewhat similar biology to Kirby, can fly almost as well.

It could also be because he heats up the air in his body. Take the balloon example again, however look at it as a hot air balloon this time. As the air heats up he goes higher and as it cools down he sinks. This could explain why he starts to sweat, as his body is heating up. This could also explain why he does damage as he exhales; hot air.
Very good point :) I'd say his ability to "fly" isn't only from the air being heated though as Kirby still does slowly fall unless he flaps his arms.
Would an amoeba sweat though? Especially considering the primary purpose of sweat for multicellular animals is to cool us down; that would be counterintuitive evolutionarily speaking if Kirby's flight is achieved with heat. That does raise the question though: if that liquid isn't sweat, what would it be instead?

I think Kirby has the ability to separate the nitrogen from the oxygen as he sucks in air. The earth's atmosphere is composed of 78% nitrogen and its lighter then air. If he fills himself up with nitrogen it should provide some good lift.

I liked the theory, but to me, this proved how Kirby floats longer, but not how he can flap through the air and keep a steady flight. This didn’t prove how Kirby can actually fly in the air. Really liked it though!

Well, it's iffy at best if he can really fly. He can fly in the main story, but often in the subgames like Kirby Fighters, Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, and even Smash he can only fly for a limited time. Maybe it has something to do with Planet Popstar's gravity? I mean, it is literally shaped like a star.
Expanded drag force allows for a slower fall, flapping wings steady causes more rise than fall. More rise than fall is... flight.
I like the implication that MatPat tried to test the waters of Kirby lore, and was immediately chased out by the hardcore Kirby lore community. XD

I really enjoy it to and so does my 5year old son he really liked seeing MattPatt and the real life applications in the video.
Give it time and they’ll get used to it. People gave Dorkly soo much crap when they moved on to live-action segments and they hated Tony’s humour.

Jake Nottingham same. I am glad that he does try and listen to his audience but sometimes even if it is a obvious thing to the big/main community it is still new or not known to those outside of the communities.
Also matpat if you read this, please don't let the " I prefer fake matpat " type comments, TH-cam and gaming community is......strange and maybe uneasily unstable but it doesn't mean that the format is bad just requires 1. Time to get used to and 2. For you to find a good balance between the two.

Honestly, I was surprised by the Kirby theory. I had never heard of it until I got into RPG Monger, so... honestly, I’m not really angry, it got me into Kirby lore more. So thanks, dude: for not only introducing this lolbit to Kirby lore, but really getting into the science of this. :)
