Thanks for the video! I am trying to get Amiga games selector working on the Steam deck, But, no idea which version of Amiga forever i'd need? Could you confirm?
How would I play for instance any premier manager game needing keyboard and mouse would I have to use the pop up keyboard or can I configure a Bluetooth one to work?
So, I have a question, why do you have to rename the AGS zip archive, if you already have the content extracted? cause the hdf file above in the folder, that you say everything should be moved to the Retroarch folder, is the filer you can find in the zip file, do you really need both the zip file, the one renamed to game.slave, and the extracted hdf file? if this is the case, do you know why? 😅
I have a question. Do you know why the ZIP file, the one named game.slave, doesn't become a slave file but instead, after renaming, insists on staying a ZIP file?
@@JustJamie1983 In Retroarch? Where do I change that? The only difference is I have the retroarch folder directly in C:, which has worked with other emulators so far Edit: If I try the 2021 core, it says the kickstart file is invalid, maybe that's not relevant though
@@JustJamie1983 Hey, if you don't want to reset AGS after every game you can go into options in the main menu and select a quit key, such as Help. Then use the in-game keyboard Doesn't always work though
Ok, I find the problem with the file extension, sorted it but when I try tu run AGS, it show only red screen... is there is any other settings in retroarch I need to change? I'm trying to set this up on my legion go
I always get audio issues with the Retroarch amiga cores, no matter which audio driver I use in the settings. Apidya doesn't have sound effects (just music) and Lemmings is missing some instruments in the music tracks. Has anyone got these to work properly in Retroarch?
@@JustJamie1983 In the Settings -> Drivers -> Audio. I've tried them all: xaudio, sdl2, wasapi, dsound etc. It really seems to be the PUAE cores because other retroarch cores and other standalone emulators have good audio on the same computer.
@@JustJamie1983 If I set stereo separation to 0% in the Core Options -> Audio menu I get all the proper sounds, but of course it's in mono then unfortunately.
Hi there! Is it possible to install ags on steam deck and series s? Expecially on series s it would be a game changer and a life saver to me! So i can have one game spot in the house without adding another pc/console. Tnx in advance

In terms of Amiga Forever. They all come with KS roms.

A mouse and keyboard. Or use your controller.

Just the way it is 😀
@@JustJamie1983 Fantastic video. I deleted the archive and instead selected AGS_Retroarch_v26.hdf instead and it seems to be working fine.

8:35 It doesn't boot, I just get a black screen
Have you tried different video drivers.

@Alianger go to video. And try changing to something like Vulkan. If this dosent work. Then copy exactly how I have done it.
@@JustJamie1983 It was the kickstart file from github, I had another on an old external HD which works after renaming, thanks!

I done everything as you showed, but when I trying to run it, it can't find the kick file... any advice?

I have never tried on a Legion sorry.
can I copy the games from this download and install on batocera? as I want to eliminate the multiple disk swaps.
You could open the image but you would need a special piece of software to do so in order to unpack it.
Is Retroarch supporting xbox360 controller better?
I have Retrobat and Controller does not work properly:(. (12TB kinhank)
Works fine. Likely a controller driver issue?
@@JustJamie1983 maybe. Never thought of that. Thx mate. Try to find out how to maybe sort this on the kinhank Drive. Rest works fine
@michaelkujawska1352 no worries.

Not that I am aware of. I would give it a shot with this guide.
Is this possible on a mod chipped switch I’m curious thanks
Give it a whirl. No idea.

Hey there, I did talk about Steam Deck.
BRILLIENT
Thanks and enjoy 😀
I find RetroArch annoying to navigate.
100% agree
@thanasispantazis9464 that's why my work is helpful. I don't complex things.
My Guides as usual are complex free.
@@JustJamie1983 Appreciate your work!
I have been using it for years and still find it annoying. There are different GUI themes, but the menus haven't really changed.
That's the spirit.
