@@justXsmokeXtrees his contemporaries certainly did not think he was insane, many of his contributions to electrical engineering and electromagnetism are both taught and utilized on a daily basis. some of his ideas were either not feasible, or possible; which is not a stain on his legacy. plenty of scientists and engineers come up with ideas that aren't feasible, that doesn't discredit their hard work or ingenuity; its simply human.

@@justXsmokeXtrees No. That's not in any way what happened. He was hailed and revered. Westinghouse paid him to use his patents and they had a cooperative relationship developing many of the items you use today. Tesla felt bad for Westinghouse when they fell on hard financial times and he gave many of his patents to them... willingly... just to be a nice guy. Westinghouse made sure he had a home and food for the rest of his life.. just to be nice too.

      @justXsmokeXtrees 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

@galvanaut7119 semi true, but the government came in as well to take away his designs. His patents would have affected the multi-billion dollar electricity company and iol industry if they weren't taken away! It's all about money in this industry. Whatever makes money, money is LAW.

    • @justXsmokeXtrees
      @justXsmokeXtrees 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

@chickenman331 yet many of his patents were taken by the government and stored away. If his patents were to come out, it would affect the multi-billion companies' electricity and gas! Money is king in our world, sadly. Same that happened to a man in the 90s who found out how to make a hydrogen powered car. A day before he was about to sign a major car manufacturing contract, he suddenly died from a "heart attack".

Naw. He told him something deeper. He told him, you're fucking smart. But your ideas aren't formalized. And that's why they're utimately ungrounded. Terrance has a unique perspective, but he hasn't vetted it against anything or anybody but himself. So he can't explain it, it can't be challenged, it can't be communicated effectively. It's just noise to everyone else. He talks about polymaths in particular, which it appears terrance is. Similar to Ramanujan "the man who knew infinity." We hear dismissal, but Weinstein is being very careful with his language.

Terrence reminds me of a road trip I once took taking my aged grandmother to see family three states away. She believed that if you let the gas go below half a tank, the car would suffer damage and break down. No matter how much logic and explaining you could possibly provide, NOTHING would move her off this ridiculous, insane and irrational belief. Finally, after having had enough of it, I let the car get down to a 1/4 20 miles outside of Gallop, New Mexico. And god damn if that car did not choose that exact moment to throw a belt. There was NO shutting grandma up after that. For YEARS it was all I ever heard about.

The only logic behind the gas tank under half thing is that the fuel pump (if it's internal to the fuel tank) is not completely submerged in fuel and not keeping itself as cool as it could or should be. Still mostly bs though. Maybe it could make a difference in the life of the car but it certainly didn't make your accessories belt exit chat 😂😂😂

I got to the part where they were looking at the flower
Eric was checking it out and working with it
He dug more at Neil than the did terrance imo
If terrance was total idiot with nothing eric wouldn't have given all that effort.
It's funny. On the full video the comments are full of I don't understand any of this.
At the same time firmly stating understanding of this and that.
Then late last night I see a video title that said scientist say things from dream are legit. It was buried in the video I didn't get to that part.
Terrance is working off a dream.
      Like lol what.

      Now it's the Standard
Your center must be able to play priemeter and not paint
      Total 180⁰
I'm just not positive eric would agree with everyone's take
I saw a few blurb articles that just took the same 2 or 3 comments leaving me feeling uh idk but I dismissed them.
I probably feel like they didn't comprehend but wanted it to mean what they wanted it to mean.
Eric is a serious person who likes to point out non serious people
Eric being the final boss I thought helped more than hurt terrance
Imo a self taught amature getting Eric's attention is amazing.
And is another example for me of why I kinda quit hot takes.
Even eric had that instance on the pod
With that one recent science he said he saw from the corner of his eye
Didn't give it any time. Said he'd need 15 min to work on it then did briefly in real time.
Like I was aware ofnthe 1x1=2 meme
I gave it no time untill the pod
So I got the best version of it
And the flower was wild to me coz as a kid I use to draw something kinda similar
      Back to hot take
      Just use everyday big events
How often does more come out later that changes things.
Always let things simmer before consuming
When eric said terrance odds of contributing to engineering was possible
But to science was practically nill
      Wasn't a dig at terrance
It's just what it is. Doesn't matter the person. Ie imo it would take something wild from someone wild.

Whereas any single criticism Eric has can be written off as part of the conspiracy keeping Terrence from exposing the truth. Because I heard the whole 4 hours while I was working in the office. Every time Eric tries to tackle and hint that he needs to slow down, sit down, and actually learn things, he completely dismisses it and tries to go back to his nonsensical explanations to try to justify how right he is. Andy Warhol's quote: "Be famous, and they will give you tremendous applause even when you are actually pooping."
As an artist, I hate postmodern because the rule in postmodern art is that there is no rule. While, true artists with art discipline trying to illustrate what the "no rule" concept is, we've got celebrities, influencers and politicians making a fortune from a pile of horseshit without understanding the no rule concept. Their work of doodling may look not so dissimilar to the true artists' works, but they are vastly different from the contextual standpoint. The no rule concept becomes significant when you've spent a good portion of artistic career producing art using the fundamental principles of art.
For example, Picasso was never a doodler, as we know him most. He was highly disciplined with artistic principles understanding composition, color and light. His choice of transition to cubism is what makes it modern & postmodern.
Then there is Terrance. Thinks he can achieve the same and bend the rules of science like postmodern art. Deconstruct the laws of physics and terminologies in his own language and reconstruct them like it works. No. It won't work.

Yeah but..there is a long list of Scientist burned at the stake for being stubbornly correct. Im not saying he is correct, but simply pointing at the willful ignorance found in many sciences. One would say "I am working on a theory and need some help" the establishment will always say "Prove it first" instead of >>"Lets do some free association and look into what we come up with to test it..'' This results in the originator dying off and the theory is lost or maybe finished by someone else, Then when the theory is sound, with no help from the establishment... the same scientific establishment denies ignoring the theory and when called out, as Oxford was with Einstein, they attempt to save face and sweep it under the rug with the all too familiar - "He was just Ahead of his Time'' 8/ No one likes to admit they were wrong, doubly so if shown to be wrong due to their own willful ignorance as a "Scientist".

He didn't utilize it, he didn't learn from it. He felt he was better in every way, shape(no pun intended) and form and then not even had the decency to leave it at that. Instead he publicly gave Tyson shit for it. That has all the hallmarks of a person who has severe trouble admitting mistakes and has gone through life relentlessly telling everyone who pointed his mistakes out that he's not wrong, they are. Here’s what’s not talked about, and don’t forget that Terrance is an actor. It’s weird he wouldn’t use some easy terms. The seed of life is the simplest construction of bubbles that they argue about magnetism and electricity over. It can be expanded throughout space, and using the planar drawing of the seed of life or the tree of life gave way to Greek geometry and I’m sure geometry that predated the Greeks. The compass and straightedge of the masons guards this secret, and the plumb describes the levelness of an object. They really stomp out Terrance, but it also feels like he lets them stomp him out. They’re trying to sweep this knowledge under the rug. Everything comes from the connections between all of us in the net of Indra and we are atomic in nature, so each of our cells, or each of our personal bubbles in the supercell created by infinitely connecting cells is mirrored by the supercell nature of our organization as life on this planet. Look at the geometry of soil. It’s all just shapes, but how tf are all the shapes straight lines. A sphere for a canon is not a mathematician’s sphere, but it touches an acceptable amount of points on a spherical radius. Maybe the icosohedron is not the rights shape to form a regulation sphere. But would you pass a sphere that clears 100 points rather than 20. What about a billion points? Somewhere a distinction is made to accept the shape as a sphere. Finally, if you’ve made it to the end of this chapter, if it is so simple to construct these basic connections into historical solids, why do we only have 5 shapes. Just the model on the seed of life drawing proves three dimensional shapes of an unpublicized magnitude can be obtained by the average person. And yet we’re taught the names of a few shapes and not the building blocks to get utilize them.

Ok I finally found why Terrence got 1×1= 2 confusion
So basically multiplication is" how many times?" EX: 1 APPLE × 1time = 1 apple ( if one apple came one time it's still one apple)
In contrast addition " add one value to other"..Ex: 1 apple+1 apple=2 apples (in a basket you add one apple and then another apple...now u have 2)
    What happened was Terrence thought 1× 1 = 2....here instead of 1 apple × 1 time = 1 apple...he thought 1 apple × 1 apple = 2 apples...basically he meant increase 1 apple by one more apple ( in a way it became an addition).
Otherwise,I even don't know wut you will get if you multiply one apple by another apple after all....and according to that theory 1×2 won't be two...1 apple into 2 apples....it will be 1 apple increased by 2 apples and it's 3 apples now....it won't be 2 apples like in original.
    So Terry's math table...
    1×0 = 1
    1×1= 2
    1×2 =3
    1×3=4
    1×4=5
    1×5=6
    1×6=7
    1×7=8
    1×8=9
    1×9=10
Basically here multiplication acts like addition....In our world wut we called "addition +"...is still in his world "multiplication".....it's getting complicated...imma runaway...😥😨😱🤯🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
P.S.Why I do I feel ...just maybe Terrence call his washroom ...".ass sanctuary"😂😂😂😂
