I have watched all of your videos and they are the very best at explaining the correct way to do things. Thanks for taking the time to do these.

I'm looking forward to learning about the different resin systems you use, and how you control resin to fiber content ratios. I would also like to know how you go about designing and creating the shapes to be molded.
Thank you for opening your shop up for all of us to see and learn!

Hey Kyle, thanks for the comment! In this series, we will focus on working with and making repairs to existing composite parts, sheets, bodies, etc...

Tim, let me start by saying i think it's awesome how you go into so much detail on each topic you speak on to produce a quality video and I appreciate that you take time out of your day to show people certain aspects about this industry that they may not fully understand. I among many, feel like you provide a better end product than any other competitor out there, simply because of the standards you hold on domestic manufacturing and the environment you work in. I think these videos help to show you provide the best cars money can buy, hands down...
And for all you customers out there looking to have work done, come here first! #fuckLJRC #fuckbickel #fuckhauss #shopTMPP

I think it's clear that you are on the cutting edge of this industry but it seems very unprofessional to knock people that still use less quality tools than you have. The smartass line about the Scissors in the 2nd grade class was uncalled for. Rude really. People are building cars everyday with hand tools and less than stellar equipment and going fast just like you. It is great that you spend money on tools and tech but please stop the deliberate shit talking about people with less. It really knocks your professional appearance down about 3 fucking notches... imo

This is an old comment but I will chime in.
I guarantee he was addressing other shops that charge a premium but shortcut the product and screw over the customer. I’m for certain that Tim support the small guys doing what they can to get by in there own garage. Good day sir.

How thick should be cf layer to be as stiff as steel?
I am going to make my first cf bonnet, and I do not have any idea, and haven't found any information how many layers or how thick layer I need to have to have same or better stiffnes as steel bonnet. I do not like the idea, that It might get too thin and may bend into engine bay when driveing at hight speed.
Current hood has 0,7mm of steel plate thinkness(outer skin), I am planning to use 2x45degress of 0,2mm twill CF.+ inner frame same way.

Why don't they make the cockpit tubs out of carbon fiber instead of sheet metal? The composite is lighter and MUCH stronger for driver protection. Win win, no?

Theres 3 types of work in this world. Good, Cheap, and Quick.
If its good and quick it isn't gonna be cheap, if its good and cheap it isn't gonna be quick, and if its cheap and quick it isn't gonna be good.
