FUN FACT: MTV was 3 years old when this song was released, and it was attracting a huge audience. In one of the earliest examples of product placement in a music video, Paper Mate funded the video in exchange for the band using their pen in the clip, which shows the band "Signing in" at the beginning. It was a great bit of marketing, as the video went into regular rotation on MTV, and Paper Mate got to demonstrate the benefits of their amazing erasable pen. Yes, hair metal and erasable pens - we were definitely in the '80s.
Yes but they were NO Van Halen
Been binging your guys videos. Just wanted to say you two have such an amazing friendship that constantly makes me smile. I also just love your attitudes to life. Gives off such a great energy.
That song always seems to make people smile.
This song should lead off every rock playlist. It puts you in a great mood for the music to come.
saw them open up for Van Halen on the 1984 tour 🤘
The hairspray was much different back then it is now. It put a hole in ozone layer. The hair could with stand hurricane winds and not move😅
Yall should check out Trooper "Raise a little Hell". Another 80s song.
Morning guys! I was a little kid when this came out but remember hearing it playing on the radio. Lol. As i got older i got into the "hair bands" and plastered my walks with pics of hair bands. Lmao😂
So did I lol. Metal Edge magazine had the best pics I think 😊
@ShanLH5 haha! Awesome! My stepdad made me move into the nursery and promise not to cover the pic on the wall of a teddy bear in a hotairballoon, first thing I did was plaster posters and pics of guys from that mag over it! Hahaha! I have a pic of it still lol
@@kristaspecht remember when Tommy Lee went through that phase where he just wore leather undies onstage? My sister had a pic of him in his leather undies on the wall in our room… my dad saw it and ripped it down 😆 I guess he thought, you two are teenagers and that is crossing the line haha
to answer your question. No, no they were not. But fun fact, the singer wrote and performed the theme to the TV show "7th Heaven"
Yes he did.
80s music videos are the best ❤
This song was big but I don’t know any other songs from them.
The only other song I know is Blondes in Black Cars which was also presented in a music video...
From their third album was the title track LOUD AND CLEAR.
Couldn't even start to tell ya how many times I've seen them in concert. At least 15-20
So you've been doing this for some time now. I'm curious what are your top 10 songs that you've reacted to?
Still a favorite of mine. And if you are walking, there's no better song to eat up the miles. It sets a fast pace.
Autograph was not an A tier band. They could be considered a B to C plus tier band. They had a bunch of their songs on rotations on many radio stations.
I really liked them.
Thanks.
Here’s an interesting note. The lead singer of Autograph wrote and sang the theme song to the tv show 7th Heaven
The guitar solo was dope but I was cringing for most of it hahaha I've heard this song a lot but also never heard of Autograph
Not really a big band of the time or commercially successful but very iconic. They appeared as themselves in concert in the movie Like Father, Like Son starring Dudley Moore and Kirk Cameron. Their music showed up in several movies and the TV show Miami Vice. This song was played on the radio so much that every time you turned it on it was there. It's kind of like this other band Jet Boy. They had a song called Feel the Shake and when that came out that was the song of moment.
Steve Plunkett co wrote and sang the theme song to the show 7th Heaven
Finally!!! Luv luv luv this song!
They were a one hit wonder, but a great song of theirs is "Loud and Clear"
Blondes in Black cars was good as well
Lovely to see you both! I hope the holidays treated y’all well. I so needed this today, so thanks again for all of the fun!
One of those (not infrequent) times when your chatter is much more interesting than the tune.
Pedestrian 80s hair metal with pop pretentions/ambitions.
✌🏼😊🎶❤️🍁❤️✨️
2:40 OMFG I heard "anti-literary" and said "yeah I guess that makes sense for Texas" 😂🤣
Send her to me is another good song by them and it's on same album. Fun rock n roll band. Sadly the drummer passed away few years ago.
Is really evident the influence of Def Leppard on them.
Love this tune and the whole album
Need triumph reaction guys! Fight the good fight. Lay it on the line, magic power, follow your heart all great songs by them.
Love Triumph!
One of my all time favorite songs 🤘🏻tune this in on the radio in your car and you’ll go from 0 to 60 in about two seconds.
Steel Panther still tours
THIS song was in
' Grand Theft Auto: Vice City '
V- Rock 🤘🏻😆
Back in the late 90's early 2000's when hardcopy ticketmaster tickets were $30 or under for national acts that played first avenue in Minneapolis (once owned by Prince and where they filmed purple rain) it wasn't uncommon for the bands to come back to the statge and sign tickets after a 5 minutes break after the show, I got a few of autographs that way.. how the times have changed
Love this song...Give me some moreeee..lol always crank this song to max.
Autograph was not a big band. I call this Pop Metal.. 😂
Yes they are hair metal per say. Guys were getting their hair permed during the 80s. Definitely lots of hair spray
SUGGESTION: PAOLO NUTINI - IRON SKY (ABBEY ROAD LIVE SESSION) 87 mln views/10 years ago. He is from Scotland. He is a great performer with a raspy voice, great song and great live band. It seems that Adele was in the same studio that day and she stayed for this performance and she also was blown away by it.
I think i've never heard this song before but i liked it a lot. Thanks for again a great reaction.
Happy Friday!!
Aww, missing the wigs..lol 😂
Saw them open up for Motley Crue theater of pain tour. Portland Oregon.
Damn rocky was ahead of his time when he bought that robot for Paulie on the rocky movie
How are you two?!! Good to see you both ❤
Still waiting for my flying car
Uranius is also in the element Ra. Ra-di-um. (Also Na So-di-um) The 88th element. Snake eyes. ;-)
Next autograph...blondes in black cars. Great song
You probably haven't heard of Trixter but for a good energy, good time song you should check out (Give it to me good). Also Slaughter (up all night). Btw, I got their autographs. Sound Warehouse was a record store that would host autograph signings with bands that were on tour.
13:10 "eventually you're going to have one" (robot in the home) that didn't turn out too well in the movie - I Robot 😨 think I'll pass !
Gotta do more 80's. Bang Tango - Someone Like You
PaperMate ' EraserMate '
erasable pens 🖊️🖋️
Say what you want about the song, but that guitar solo is right on the money.
I have a suggestion for you guys. Band is called d.a.d.. the song is called sleeping my day away.
80s❤🎉
Sounds like Def leppard
We already have robots in our house. Ever heard of Rumba?
Rumba is a dance. You're thinking of Roomba
You should react to Dry Kill Logic- Rot, Nightmare or Paper Tigers
React to void return of the phantom, they look and sound like the 80s but they are a newer band. Killer song 🤟🎸
Quiet Riot - "Cum On Feel the Noize" next. :)
How about Kiss?
That strange language they write is cursive
I always think of GTA vice city 🤘
You’ve lost your way boys. You got to stay metal. Let me help you with the next rabbit hole, the band, Fear Factory. Album “Demanufacture”,then progress albums from there.
Is that ' Don Dokken ' ftom Dokken?
I could be wrong, BUT he
Looks like him
🤔🤷🏻⁉️
I have several autographs tattooed on my arms… they are pretty artistic and not just scribbles. And two of them (Alice Cooper and Brandon Boyd from Incubus) actually wrote my name along with their signatures. Brandon has very nice penmanship, and John 5 took the time to make it look nice cuz he knew I was getting it tattooed on me… such a thoughtful guy. They make for nice tattoos 😊
Can't you react to KING KOBRA - Hunger (1985).
Amazing track and i love the video.
Where are the wigs
I was in middle school at the high school watching a cover band playing this song like in 81-82 where I first heard this song they were a one hit wonder this was there only hit
If Weird Al Yankovic did this song it would go, "Turnips, and potatoes, I gotta eat them gotta gimme some more!"
How about Ratt?
Seen them back stage! Bunch of low life's! 🤮
Autograph???????????????????? man why haven't you done RATT or Dokken the best Glam Bands,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Autograph is the bottom of the list this was their biggest song
Day 11 of asking them to react to flying whales live at hellfest 2019
This was the band that opened for everyone. Great band but never had huge success.
Well, these guys ok. But again, One time hit wonder. Nothing else to say really... in one league with others like Poison and many more at the time. 80s hair glam rockers, with hard rock elements. I would give them C mark, not higher. Something like that...
U guys better do more stuff like Cinderella, Motley Crue and number of others, if you really want to get more complete picture of that style of music -))) tons of really great bands of that genre. In 80s...
The whole album is great. But this song is way overplayed.
Still hurts my brain that the same person who sings and wrote the them song to the TV show 7th heaven is the lead singer of Autograph.
Need triumph reaction guys! Fight the good fight. Lay it on the line, magic power, follow your heart all great songs by them.
