This was interesting enough and then the laundry care decoder took it next level. Genuinely impressed by the fact that among all the wow tech, apple still thought to bring some real world application which while trivial is still actually more helpful than something like a Live Photo screen saver for example
Couldn’t agree more. Apple kept fiddling around making things more gimmicky with little practicability
I was also happy about being able to edit PDF files in the notes app too! Right now I have to pay for a subscription on a separate app just for reading and editing PDFs. Maybe I can finally get rid of the app now…

What Apple forgot to mention in the live wallpapers is that old live photos taken from old iPhones cannot be used.
Found your channel this morning. I am obviously not using my iPad to it fullest potential. I subscribed.
Editing pdfs in notes is usefull.
Good review of the updates, I like the health app is now included. The ability to have a USB-C camera is something I will find useful as my iPad Pro is used for all my computing needs.
Very interesting. Certainly the profiles thing is interesting to give it a try.
I already am using the grouping thing in safari itself, so a lot of my actions are grouped already, but this may enhance this by giving it another style and so make it more distinguishable. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick, concise and simple overview of the new iPsdOS 17 - I lose track of all the new bells and whistles for OS updates, so I’ll keep your channel in my subscriptions so I know where to go when I need to find something out. The ‘Profiles’ in Safari is going to be. Game-changer - I say this with my 35+ tabs currently open for personal, work, project and travel 😂😂😂

I’d really like to see the full fitness app (as opposed to fitness+) on iPad. I’d like to be able to look at my activity history without having to pick up my IPhone.

I found some of these my accident and loved them. Apple chose a great Live Photo of my daughter when I pressed on the Lock Screen. I have a cool mini movie of her when I open the Lock Screen. It’s also set to a new Personal focus mode.

Can change the city abbreviations on Watch… but they didn’t bring this functionality over to the iPad clock widget. Some of Apples abbreviations don’t make sense, and it would be good to be able to change them manually.

Does it already exist or is there a way I can set up a mute button for when the advertisements pop up so annoyingly ? I know that they are probably a big part of TH-camr’s revenue stream and they can’t be stopped, but I refuse to be forced to watch or listen to them and always reach for the volume down button, but it would be so much easier if I could just mute them immediately .
I’m having problems with my Apple Magic Keyboard attached to my iPad Pro M2 after updating to iOS 17, used to be able to easily start & stop TH-cam videos, movies etc with the space bar, now that is very sporadic 🙁

Is there any performance drop with m1 iPads on upgrading to ios 17?
The health app showing more info is one reason I’m thinking of updating to iOS 17. I’m a bit torn because I’m on 16.4.1 waiting for a jailbreak so I can have proper moveable multitasking windows- I hate being locked into Apple’s pre-approved locations, as well as tweaks to hide the home bar and adblockers. I don’t get to view all the health stuff on my iPhone unfortunately because it’s on iOS 15 and the data is more limited- not updating the iPhone either because of jailbreak and tweaks haha, I really hate the homebar that takes up space in apps where the developer didn’t set that to be disabled or they charge you money to have it disabled as a “feature”.

I got my iPad Pro m1 to be a laptop replacement. Hoping someday I can use the Mac OS because as it is I still need my old laptop. Especially for office apps. Nothing in the video or any updates I’ve seen changes this. Although it would be great if ms releases a full version of office for iPad pros.
Honestly, the ability to edit pdfs directly in Notes is huge. That had always been cludgey.

I’m one of your older subscribers, so I would like to know if any of your other subscribers or yourself have had the same problem since updating the iPad with iOS 17.0.3 which is: When I have the iPad on charge it will not stay off and keeps rebooting. Mine is an iPad Air 4th generation. Geoff (UK).
I didn’t know I could already use my ipad to identify the breeds of our cats. Lol I do like the Safari profile pages. I do have several email accounts and that’s a great way to toggle between them. Of course, with the split screen option on the ipad, that was kind of already there.

QUESTION; the new feature of Siri continuing to listen after being invoked and completing the request, is causing me problems as it is still listening for further conversation and picks up background voices and tries to comply with what it thinks are further commands. Is there a way to stop this behavior?

I don’t understand the focus they have on wallpapers, stickers, emojis, widgets. I do like the health app and am looking forward to the journal app coming in 17.2. I’m disappointed that many of the better features don’t apply to my model, (type-c webcam, stage manager). I will look into the pdf editing, safari profiles looks interesting. Thanks for the info. 👍

Why can’t I get he bar at the bottom of the page on my iPad 9, so I can swipe it up to close an app, like I can do on my iPad 10. I love this function. With it I do not have to press the home button to close an app.

I’m seriously underwhelmed with this update. I started changing Lock Screen and then I thought I don’t care enough! I’m quite happy with it looking clean it’s not a big issue to swipe up to see the info I need like weather and calendar. Same for IOS.. I’ve downloaded it and it’s just the same to me. I suppose I’m just a basic user these days. The last time I think they did anything interesting was the files app.
I agree fully.. Nothing great or life changing here… Truth, the only thing I think I liked even a little is the ability to use your photos as a sticker, NOT that I actually used stickers often enough for it to really matter, but it is something to play around with.. And I agree fully with what someone else said, Apple and the app developers have been getting lazy… nothing really new and great for a long time.. I personally wish the developers (and Apple) would listen to their loyal users more and start giving more of what we need and ask for

The only thing that definitely gets BIGGER is the PRICE! Apple is also expertly at making everything more confusing to fool us into thinking that there are many great changes! Becoming a bit ridiculous, are they? Ugh!
Just wait for iPadOS 18 - your iPad will have a flying module, transporter options, and anything else you need. What is it that you really want. All I see is moans that it’s underwhelming but no suggestions of what it’s missing so desperately? List them.
I look forward to your dedicated health app video. I agree with another comment that I wish Apple would include the full fitness app on the iPad. I just downloaded the app only to realize it was fitness+ rather than all the information I am frequently viewing on phone or watch.
Does anyone know how to get different wallpapers, for example i added multiple wallpapers but it stays on the first one , i know iPhone has shuffle frquency but i dont see that on ipad. And i have the fotos that i added on foto shuffle.

An English cocker spaniel is quite different from the American breed. I grew up in India with an English Cocker. Moving to Japan we had an American cocker which is smaller with a shorter muzzle. Apple must be using pictures of American Cocker Spaniels in their AI training.

I just bought a 9th gen iPad. It runs great. I prefer maintaining a snappy device rather than the inevitable slowing downs that eventually occurs with OS upgrades. Back in the day OS upgrades felt revolutionary, now they seem mildly incremental.
Notes won’t allow,you to change the text of a pdf. Just write on it with a pencil. Not an edit function. At least I have not been able to do it

Hi, I have updated all my apple devices-watch, phone and iPad Pro 11 inch 2nd generation but I’m finding my iPad is seemingly draining battery far quicker than previously. Have you found this and if so is there anything I could do to improve it please? Thanks so much for all your videos. As a 65 yr old grandma, some things leave me a bit lost😊

Lot of people complaining about battery drain
The first thing to do is sit tight for a few days to see if it improves. It’s very common for battery drain to temporarily increase after doing a major update. The device is working overtime to scan everything and get it correctly set up. If it doesn’t get better after that, check Settings > Battery to see if there is a particular app that is using a lot of battery. If so it may need to be updated.

I’m confused about the Safari Profiles, where does the favourites bar vanish to on the different profiles?! Why does the whole profile look different to just a normal profile?! Why can’t a homepage for a profile be set to Google or something?! The profiles seem infuriating.

Hi. After downloading the latest ipadOS 17, I dont know if this is a bug, but I cant seem to open my Facebook app. Tried reinstalling the FB app and restarting my ipad but it still persist, every time I open my FB app it crashes down automatically. The installation was smooth though. Would this be a possible glitch?
Now I’m afraid to update my iPad I use it to film videos on TH-cam….are you still having issues with update?

Dear lord, updated my phone and iPad and now nothing seems to be working. None of the Microsoft Office apps work, customizing a honescreen not working (add new wallpaper just shows an empty page) this is what I discovered in the first minute. JFC. I have to work tomorrow and nothing works...
