Thanks for the video. My daughters hair was dark green and never thought it would come out. I bought a reddish brown and within 15 minutes I saw the green go away. For the most part got most of the green out but should have kept on a bit longer before washing out. Next day did a neutral medium brown and it covered everything and looks great.
Yay!! I’m happy to hear! To keep the brown from fading quickly there’s a brown protein filler at Sally’s it’s great! You add it to your hair before applying the hair dye!

My hair is dark green so if I got the light reddish brown would it work because I can’t remove the green and tried blonde hair dye nothing works for dark green removal
As a hairstylist I would not use permanent hair color. Permanent hair color causes bands and if u like to change your color from time to time stay away from permanent. Use Demi or semi unless u have over 75% gray hair
i am about to go from bright green to brown without bleaching, my one question after watching this is did the brown fade after time? and did any color come back through? i know the point of color correction is for them to cancel each other out but i screwed it up before and my brown hair ended up fading to a mucky green so i wanna be secure about this lol
What a gorgeous color! I tried brown over blue and it turned it green. So now I'll... idk... get artic fox pink and then brown. Wow. What a pain in the butt.

I have to go back to brown later in the year, and I'm blonde now. I was considering going blue because I hoped putting super dark brown over it would make it blue black. Now I know I still need to fill with red. I just wanted to avoid red 😅 maybe I'll do pink

Hi! I have the same color you had like a aquamarine fading hair. I am trying to go for a not so dark brown lighter than yours more like a caramel color but idk which ones to use what do u recommend
So my hair was green, I tried to dye it brown and it’s that muddy color and shows green through it. If I follow this and do red and yellow like you did, will it fix it to brown? Please I need helllppp

oxidative hair dyes react with demi and semi permanent color, so the pre toning isn't as needed/effective, and that's why it was turning back to green when you first applied it. It turned out great!
I tried permanent garnier nutrisse lilac purple on my dark brown hair without bleaching. Turned out as a dark tinted purple. I tried fading the purple with washing up liquid and clarifying shampoo and the colour faded . But quit visible I was wondering can I put permant dark brown hair dye on top of my hair to go back to before?
my hair is purple with suuuuuper overgrown brown roots and a couple spots where the faded purple is almost dark gray/muddy blonde. I'm thinking I'm going to fill it with red then put a brown on top but maybe try to blend the brown dye into my already brown roots for sort of a ombre effect? any advice is appreciated.

yes! def use red, i did the same when my manic panic faded, put red on top and brown after and you should be set!

@@syl_the_window_sill did you do a bleach wash first or did you just dye red over the faded teal? I’m a minty green right now and I’m aiming to go to brown.
@@lilcheezy530 I didn't have to use any bleach. I dyed it using red dye and then used the same 2 permanent dyes as used in the video (however I believe I chose a shade darker for the neutral one). For me, near my roots where I had minimal bleach but only teal hair dye, after using the red and dyes in the video it came out with it looking a bit more red than my more bleached and dyed ends which came out more black than brown with most of my hair showing a red tone in the sun.
But of course your results will be different than mine with us both having different starting points and my crappy bleach job probably playing a part in the results of mine lol.

@@annaedwards6004 i think I’ll be fine as long as ur not using super hot water like me! I’m trying to cover my hair while I use hot water and then washing it with colder water to keep the color longer and get it healthier

After this process, does the brown color fade?
I got a balayage done, but decided to go blue using a temporary hair color that was supposed to stay for two weeks only. Its been a little over a month and now the color is faded into a green which i am not a fan of. HELP
Every brown will fade with time but instead of dying it every 4-6 weeks you can dye it brown and when it’s time to retouch you can do a gloss it makes your hair shiny and will make it looks good for another couple weeks
Im just throwing on brown over green on a couple of test strips. Ill give an update.
I have mine a mix of purple and black, as in, I mixed a little black into my purple. Transylvania and purple af from arctic fox. I know this is an older video but I would so appreciate it if you could let me know if this method would work for me. I wish to go back to my medium brown color too.

This literally is saving me ! I colored my hair a emerald blue/green and hate it 😅 Normally I would just let it fade or use a treatment but as im currently pregnant and my wedding weeks away I plan to just throw a red artic fox color over it and then hit it with black 😂😂.

You should add orange based on the color opposite of blue.
Sooo my hair was green and blue I dyed it red and the green is gone bue the blue is still there and is this muddy blue, if I died it orange does that solve it???

@@jazmin_estrada yess I went from a really vibrant emerald green back to my light natural brown, I used the method you showed then I lightened it with some ash blonde dye because i had black dye before that was showing through but it came out perfect thank you so muchh

I know I’m not the one who made the tutorial. But according to the color wheel yes. You should apply red first can be a semi permanent like Artic fox and then a brown on top. So you only use developer once with the dark shade.

@@jazmin_estrada it turned out perfect! I went in with poison from arctic fox (very red) and then covered it with a demi-permanent dark warm brown. It’s a pretty dark auburn/brown :)

i currently have dark blue hair that has *VERY SMALL* hints of purple and green, what would work best to go from blue to brown?? cause the color wheel says to color correct and go orange but every time i try to get a little help at sally’s on which orange is best, they just keep saying to do a color remover which i already have TWICE! and it’s not doing much anymore and my hair is so dry :// any help would be greatly appreciated :))
Hey girl! Yes Sally’s isn’t very helpful at times. Im not an expert but definitely don’t recommend doing the color remover again it’s super drying!! Maybe try the ion color in 7rr intense red. It has copper in it so it would be the orange and red u need. Then do a brown like the one I did. Please keep me updated!!

Hi ! That’s a thought one because there’s no way to lighten hair without bleach. Have u tried maybe a bleach wash so it’s not too too harsh ?

What ratio did you use (developer, 6, and 5r)?
I did hear you say 1:1 but I don’t know if it’s equal amounts of yellow and red

My advice would be use a Demi permanent red color over it to cancel the blue and green tones then apply the brown over it!! If u just apply brown over the blue or greenish it will look muddy!
Ion colors from Sally’s or Amazon has a great line of Demi permanents!
