    Thunder drops made me weep. How true that is. The imagined dangers, the labeling and anticipation. What a beautiful articulation.

    i am definitely an advocate that you can heal from anxiety and OCD without meds, but i was in a very deep pit with my harm OCD and i decided it was time to try it, and i gotta say prozac has definitely changed my life.
    even now that im on medication and feeling lighter, i’m not sure if i would be here without your videos lily. you are an incredible human being. you reassured me that i wasnt a monster that didnt deserve to live anymore. im truly tearing up writing this. your videos talked about such deep and horrible thoughts in such a light manner, it truly was the BIGGEST sigh of relief, even that’s an understatement. your videos and your attitude towards mental health and intrusive thoughts made me feel so at home and almost like you were my mom comforting me and telling me everything was gonna be okay!! haha i know that sounds weird but please take it as a compliment ☺️
    you are amazing lily and i would not be the same human being without you. your videos changed the course of the deep OCD spiral i was going down. i wish you the absolute best in your endeavors with helping people struggling ❤️ thank you.

      I am so happy medicine helped you ❤. I’ve been trying to deal with it naturally for 7 years even with erp but I’m finally considering taking something even though I’m scared!!

    This is so interesting, intrusive thoughts being “ego-dystonic” … the opposite of what we want and who we believe we are. It seems to be the brains way of warning us to give up thinking for a while and let the mind rest . The problem however is this is not common knowledge and so people innocently overreact and think even harder and even more… trying to work it all out, doing the very opposite of what the brain is trying to communicate us. Only when we let the dust settles can we see clearly.to add I think The deeper spiritual significance of this seems to relate to the idea that what you really want in life must be fully surrendered, only then can you truly get it. Because you can’t strive, try and force things “you must be willing to loose it all to gain it all” meaning let all thoughts pass, even the things we cherish and desire most.

    I get stuck with… most of the time I pre think about what I’m doing. Hmmmm let me walk in the kitchen to get a drink… what should I say to this person to feel better… and I’ll open my mouth and talk and have no idea where the words are coming from…. Or maybe I’ll walk by a picture and without thinking I’ll fix the picture frame from being crooked. Or I’ll see my hubby there and pinch his butt. There was no pre thinking on it…. So when im driving 65 mph on the freeway and my arms no longer feel like my arms what if I have a thought that’s not pre thought like swerve into another car and I just do it as easily as it was to pinch the hubby tush?

    I get really weird thoughts about thinking my food from fast food places or restaurants is drugged . It’s really been hard for me the last 2 months I want it to go away I can’t eat anything from other places or I get so anxious that my derealization gets worst and then I’m convinced it’s bc the food was drugged 😢 I think this fear comes from a bad experience with an antidepressant that I didn’t know was going to make me feel like that and I never want to feel that again

      Thank you so much for sharing that. I had this bad some time ago, but it ended up going away, now it comes up if something triggers it like if I see something weird in my food. But your not alone and just like everything else, it will go away.

    This was awesome!! My most bothersome intrusive thoughts are about harming others and driving. With the harm thoughts i gotten in a better place but lately with driving iv been getting more of thoughts of crashing into the on coming car and that urge you described is exactly what i have been getting as in im not sure if i have full control. The driving one feels so scary going high speed so im not sure how to deal with it. Any tips? ❤

      Thank you! The sticky intrusive thoughts for me were always about harming others and driving as well! Are you working with a coach or therapist currently?

    • @juttakaukonen6118

      @@LilySaispeacefromwithin yes i have a therapist right now and on our last appoitmnent she was actually recommending considering medication bc of these. Iv been having anxiety, depersonalisation, intrusive thoughts for 10 years (they just have kinda changed over the years) and have never been on medication.

    Also did you have any physical pain? My head hurts everyday, my tongue is really dry I keep sucking on it from the anxiety. I think I teeth grind at night when I wake up my teeth hurt, but the main thing is head pain its like a muscle tension headache. I feel dizzy all the time and Its hard for me to relax

    When you answer the PH9 form that if given to patient at the drs office what you supposed to answer on the last questions? Since my anxiety started I’m dealing with bad intrusive thoughts and just wondering what to do when it comes to that question. It scares me

    • @LilySaispeacefromwithin
      @LilySaispeacefromwithin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just looked at that form and the question and I think if you feel safe/comfortable with your doctor to answer honestly and write a clarifying statement that is true for you such as - I've been experiencing anxiety and intrusive thoughts recently and while I do have these thoughts, they are unwanted. I do not have any desire or plan to hurt myself, in fact, the opposite.

    So what about serial killers and pedophiles and all of them? Didnt they start out with this and then with through with it?

    I know everyone gets them. But why do some people react so differently.

    • @LilySaispeacefromwithin
      @LilySaispeacefromwithin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are a few factors and one common one that I see is that people's defenses are down in a way. Their bandwidth is lower. They're in a more vulnerable spot. They're more stressed or tired. And then they have an innocent overreaction. Can you see how you react differently to different thoughts? Maybe some because they so go against who you are? Sometimes you might be able to drop a thought or let it go, but sometimes you're in a different (lower) state of mind and it gets sticky.
