HE had to pull out of a race this month (July '08). I believe it was a grand prix racek. I forget where it was held. Shaheen has to make a living. We have Kenyan accountants, doctors, lawyers,\ teachers, engineers e.t.c. working and living abroad. IT is no different. I love SHaheen. If he stays injury free, he might be better than the greatest of them all, Moses Kiptanui. Shaheen might not be 100% fit for Beijing and that is our blessing coz we'll definetely win it if he doesn't.
You do make a good point; I think the Kenyan Federation is somewhat to blame for not supporting your promising atheletes. That said, I do feel that many of these athletes need to be educated more about the pitfalls of such a decision. I remember watching Cherono at the post race press conference and it was clear that all he wanted was money. It turns out that 2 short years later, his "dream move" started to turn sour, and even if he wanted to return to Kenya, noone would accept him anymore.
Greatest race of all time.
I agree with Ezekiel kemboi. . ..real Kenyan patriotism
This race is amazing! World Champs Paris2003!

أعتقد أول شخص عربي يعلق. 😂♥
Why has he not run steeple since 06? He has ran the 5 and 10k this year, but no steeple. Odd.
Watch out for former Kenyan Mubarak Shami of Bahrain too. He is in great shape.
Eliseo Martin of the Army of Spain, Awesome!! The Best.
Eliseo Martin! God!
he and lebron james have a lot in common
Grudge match
@bhsucks. Maybe , but if money continues to buy athletes like that, then we lost the point..
