As for Globs of Doom, have it be that due to Evil ToyCo.'s multiversal success in the other worlds, this got the attention of Globulous Maximus. Since he's been trying to be happy for so long, he started to invade the worlds for these apparently "awesome" toys, thinking that they might aid in him feeling better. Throw in a semi-forced moral about material goods not being all you need to be happy and you're golden!
