@@Numbuh8578 The final villain of the NCU is Modern Spongebob. The one we follow in the games is Season 1-3 and movie Spongebob. Villain Spongebob represents Nickelodeon's thoughts on Spongebob, it's all about him. He becomes a cosmic horror that the entire NCU have to team up and fight, both heroes and villains. It wouldn't be that drastic either since the first game had the Syndicate ready to destroy the multiverse, causing it to restart with them as the rulers of the new multiverse. Pretty dark for a kids game.

It’s weird how Tak is genuinely unique and a good character in a linear game but with his own show he’s the polar opposite it’s weird and kinda seems like the exact opposite of what it should’ve been
It’s kinda surreal how hard they messed up his personality in the show. The post-trilogy games weren’t groundbreaking (and tbh the Nicktoons games gave him more justice than the mainline ones), but they at least felt like a continuation/extension of his character

I remember being 8, I sent a letter with a picture called "Nickelodeon and Nintendo and the globs of doom" well, the only Nintendo character was Mario. Then weeks later I get a letter back. It talked about the picture and the one thing I remember is the P.S which said that SpongeBob said that Mario is awesome.

Well, THQNordic is making remakes of THQ's older games like Battle for Bikini Bottom, so there might be a chance for a remake of Unite.
@@sharonv3597 I don't want a remake, but a reimagining of the game. I think the concept of crossovers can be expanded upon. I like the plot, but I think it should be more grand and the gameplay should incorporate more RPG elements like Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

I defend my roster choices as they all have a role in Nickelodeon's creation, and I feel it drives into every corner of the company. Every show is referenced so nothing is forgotten. I chose more obscure characters as I wanted then to be represented someway.

I wouldn't really call Dib a villain, I'd call him a deranged hero as much as Zim is a terrible villain. They're still really charming and play off of each other in ways that other pairs fail to

Story wise, I think it was because Zim decided to join the heroes and Dib refused to be on the same team as Zim, so he joined the villains.

The DS versions of Attack Of The Toybots and Globs of Doom are actually decent.
The former is a pretty fun beat-em-up with a pretty fun variety of unlockable characters, and the latter is a decent puzzle platformer with some fun boss fights.
With the DS Exclusive characters and better game play, what is the point of playing on the Wii?

Fun Fact in Globs of Doom: If you’re playing with a friend in the Final Battle, Player 1 controls SpongeGlob (Ugh.) and Player 2 controls the Mech that you have to fight in Single Player Mode. The characters have a large amount of health, and it’s honestly pretty boring.
Wdym boring? I think it’s pretty cool you get to do a 1v1, and you even get a unique ending if the mech wins

There is a reason on the Wii version. If the player exits the hub or the loading is not complete, the game file will become corrupted.

I had no idea zim was in these games lol, thats so weird, and I think the only reason zim and dib work so well as apart of the game is because technically zim is the villain on the heroes side and dib is a good guy, but yknow thats the whole joke of the show so its probably why they work so well
Tak being in the game really doesn’t make since the other four hero’s are all very popular shows and his shows is not popular in fact I believe those four shows were nick four most popular shows when the first game came out

I will say in spongebob BBB the speedrun community helped reignite the fanbase for the game bringing it out from obscurity. May not be the sole reason but if the other games see a similar resurgence in demand a remake is much more likely to happen
I don't think the lack of current tech had anything to do with these games sucking. Heck, Rehydrated was a significant downgrade over the OG game in a number of areas IMO.
I love how GIR is the only Zim Character to be in Attack of Toybots, Meaning he got into a Nicktoons Game before his Master did

You could just let the villains stand still and just wail on them until you win but if you let the villains win, you get a completely different ending scene with Globulous Maximus captured.
It drove me crazy as a kid when Dib was part of the villains who tried to take the Slime. Like that's clearly something Zim would do.

Unite was the most nostalgic for me too, and I really enjoyed the uniqueness of character abilities in that game that weren't really present in the others. imo toybots is best. Toybots having more of a focus on fast paced platforming when it comes to level design definitely fit how the characters were designed more than a lot of volcano island.

Its really fun at first....until you realize every level is LITERALLY THE SAME, it gets really annoying after a while.

I was looking to find someone talking about that version and luckily I didn't have to go that far! I played it all the time as a kid and it was a pretty alright game. El Tigre was by far the best character in the game for the record.

I own all of these games. Even though Unite was very basic it was my favorite. Things got cheaper and more simplified as things went but the concept had incredible potential. Especially Unite, it really captured their unique aspects. Jimmy's science, Timmy's magic, Danny's ghost powers, and Spongebob's antics.

It was suppose to be a show first and the games were just the license material, but the show had been in development he’ll for awhile so the games were released first. And it took them years for the show to come out before being shortly cancelled.

I guess the real nicktoons crossover saga was the friends we made along the way.
Attack of the Toybots DS was my introduction to Zim so I guess I gotta give this franchise some credit.
The thing that always stood out to me about the last game in the series is how Technus translated incredibly well int 3D. Like, he unironically looks so badass in it! And as an adult, he still looks way cooler then he should.
Technus is a cool villain, but it’s pretty weird that he’s the one they decided to chooses as the playable danny phantom villain over vlad or skulker
Nostalgia makes it hard for me to see this game negatively but I am see where you are coming from. I bought it again last year to see how it held up after I grew up a little bit and it was still enjoyable for me at least.

If there's one thing I remember from THQ Nordic getting the license for the Nicktoons back was that Catscratch was among the names. Catscratch never had a video game, just Mr Blik appearing in the ds version of Toybots. You know what that means...
Real talk; these games could have been amazing and I genuinely hope Nickelodeon gives a reboot to these games some thought. Can you imagine an MCU style shared universe of games? Solo games for a bunch of Nick's OG shows, with an Avengers Style full crossover game for a climax.
I remember being so hyped for Nicktoons Unite and being stuck on a level like 20 minutes in, but I loved the fact those 4 were together I just kept restarting it so I could keep playing

i rented long ago and i had a good time and made up a plot about the big bowl in the middle being for a giant salad and the random picks the stuff that unlocked costumes was for the salad dont ask me how i thought gears and shells fitted in dont ask me ask 9 or 10 year old me
I love how they couldnt be bothered to get it to be canon accurate with characters model wise. Spongebob is out of water with no water filled helmet on, Zim doesnt have his wig and contacts un to disguise he's an alien in front of multiple humans, gir also doesnt have his costume on.
Also why did they give Zim an overbite? It looks like it at least from content shown in the video
It’s explained that Jimmy used an invention to help Spongebob breath outside of water. He also has another invention from the show that helps everyone else breath underwater. As for Zim I guess the other Nicktoons can just easily see through the disguises since they wouldn’t be as dumb as the residents of his world.

Thought this was just a fever dream.
I almost wonder if Zim was gonna be a villain in Toybots. Considering the characters are kidnapped via UFO, the model rooms are very much modeled after Irken Tech, and there’s some glimpses of Irk soldiers and symbols, I feel it was gonna have a bigger Zim presence, and maybe they just pussed out at the end or something
Imagine if Nintendo was in charge of a Nicktoons Crossover game...

To be fair, Beautiful Gorgeous and Technis are both great characters. If you ever watch those series, you'll get a pretty good idea what both characters are like.

I personally really love the DS versions,hope you review them some time soon,the sprite work is surprisingly more than decent.And DS version of globs of doom is much better than the 3d version...Trust me
Actually, the reason why it was called Spongebob & Friends in some countries was due of some shows airing in other channels in different countries (Example, The Fairly Oddparents aired on Jetix (later Disney XD) in Latin America)
I love the animation from the games like the Spongebob Squarepants: the Movie or Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots. They hold so much nostalgia for me, I remember playing them for hours on end with my cousin and having great times.
I wish I could easily go back and re-live them but my Wii won't start up anymore and I lost some discs.
