I'm putting in a cup of coolant every trip. I'm looking for the party number now I looked where ur leak is on mine and it's soaking. I'll be folling ur footsteps soon thanks for the help!!!
😂good to know think I have the same leaking coolant from the same flange that’s need a new flange! 22 years old flange had retired its job I guess Nice Vid!
Enjoying the series, and now I must get my 04 TT 225 back on the road (no MOT since 2016) and out of dry store - will certainly be checking this part and pipe! Thank you
Looks like exactly where my massive coolant leak is coming from. Hoping that I scored a deal on my 01 TT and this is as simple as it ends up being! Super helpful video!
@@JonCoupland digging in this week/weekend. For now I took a big win with the “first gear getter” from diesel geek. One tiny bushing pressed into the shifter lever and gave me back reverse and now all gears are easily found!

Hopefully the parts turn up quickly, you are giving the TT a good shake down
The new flange arrived today
Part 2 coming soon 😄
You two could stand a couple of head torches. Free up a hand when deep under the bonnet pulling stuff apart 🙃
We do have head torches. Dad prefers hand lamps
Probably a habit from his days in the workshops
Good idea though!
Tbf it looks like the coolant needed changing anyway.
The coolant was changed when we rebuilt the PCV system. As it's Reddy pink to start with it's always going to look a bit ... Brown 🤣
genius idea from engineers to put so much plastic in an engine bay that gets a lot of heat. all manufactures are guilty.
Yes!
