Generally speaking- If the nox sensor has a good power supply and ground and has active faults on update rate , voltage high/low, and there are no other CAN (data bus) faults, most of the time changing it fixes the problem.
@Neural Splendor From your experience , on which mileages does this problem usually occur ? I just know that this breakdown limits the speed of movement , and there is no way to get to the dealer , so I would like to buy this sensor in advance and change it myself when it will happened .
@@Inferlogist Speaking for myself- I would not carry a spare of this sensor. I help take care of about 125 Tractors, service trucks. I have only seen 3 of these fail in the last 10 years. But if you want to buy one they are not terribly expensive. What year is your truck? Do you have SCR or just DPF? The videos I post are just problems that come up that I was involved in so I know the problem was repaired. We never throw parts at problems we try to be systematic. Id rather see you carry a set of belts and a spare set of fuel filters and one oil filter.
@Neural Splendor Cascadia 2019 , x15 cm2350A 1750 lb torque 500hp , 2017gen. Trans. Eaton FO-18E313A. If I lived in the USA, I would be more calm, but I live in Atlantic Canada, here, in order to buy an elementary spare part from a dealer, you have to wait a month and pay extra for a special delivery of $ 100 cad. e.g. I just ran into a problem to buy spring leaf bushing , no any dealer in all Canada has it in their stock , 250$ each. I had to take this off from an acident Cascadia 2022 fresh one then , I spent 6 hours under a truck to change it myself because I don't have a hydraulic bushing press if you decide to let them change this part, they will change something else for you along the way, and then your next stop will be scrap yard. I've been scammed by Freightliner Daimler , many times so I try to fix everything myself.
I have with me both fuel filters , as well as the Fleetguard oil origeal, as well as the DEF pump filter, despite the manual, I do the replacement of the DEF pump filter more often since I know that this is the weak link.
Thanks for the explanation .
So if we will get the problem we just should replace nox sensor ?
