Hello Rachel, I love the videos so much. It has been one full day and night and Mylo "My Love" a 13 week maltese has did wonderfully with not accidents. We picked him up yesterday we got home around 2pm. He ate food and water then we took him outside afterwards. My walk times were 2pm, 5pm, 7pm, 10pm, 12am, 3am, 5am then I took my kids to school so we walked him at 6:40am, I feed him at 8 then walked him at 9am til about 9:30am, now he is sleeping the crate at 10am I plan to walk him again after my meeting at 11:30am. Mylo cried for about 5-10 when i put him in the crate. I didn't get time to get him used to the crate as we got him late in the day yesterday. When ever I am away from him in the crate or in the house for 1 minute he cries really loud. How can I stop him from crying at night/day. He also does not like any of my treats so i have been using food. Please confirm my learning from your video. I should reward him once he stops crying? Of once he stops crying when I walk away? I am guessing this will take a while? Please give me guidance I work from home and dont want to have him on my lap every meeting.

I have an Echo Dot near my puppy’s pen (we live in a high rise so he is pee pad trained) and play heart beat sounds all night. It makes a big difference!

I just got a chihuahua puppy, and the person that we got him from took him too early, so he's only 4 weeks. He's very independent until it's time to sleep, and then he's very vocal. I'll update on night 2 of how it goes. ❤

I play gospel music to help my 3 month old puppy sleep. It seems to work well. I'm trying to put mine on a schedule. I was told to put a toy in his crate at night. Is this good or not? I'm his 3rd owner it seems he was just to much trouble for his previous owners. So even though I'm still training him I know he's confused if someone is going to keep him or not. So even though I'm training him I'm not being overly concerned right now as I want him to know I'm keeping him. The last owner who had him lives right next door to me.

What breed is Wally?
My puppy is 4 months old and we have had him since he was 2 months old. Are we out of luck since we have had him so long? We are needing to crate train him. We thought we could leave him in the laundry room but he destroys everything!! He is a great dog but we didn't do what you are suggesting from the beginning.

Same for night time, every 3 hours is okay for us but how long do we do this ??

My first night was an amazing. My puppy is 13 weeks Maltese "Mylo" I took him out about every 3 hours. I want to do every 4 hours so I can sleep. They say it is an hour for every month +1. So, 13 weeks is 3months plus 1 is every 4 hours during the night. I did 3 hours because I wanted to follow Rachel of getting ahead of it and I didn't want an mistake or do any clean up. He has only had access to my daughters room supervised and in the crate at night. During the day I am trying the 1 or 2 hours depending on my remote work schedule. If he is sleep I will not wake him up tho. I hope this helped. @rachelfusaro let me know how I did? I am a Subscriber!

Hi Rachel, I was hoping you had some advice for pet parents dealing with Mad Dashers! I have a 15 week old French bulldog and whenever someone comes to the door including myself she always makes a break for it and sometimes she’s in the house without a leash or collar on so I really just need advice on how to deal with it. Given her breed and the fact that she’s still a puppy it would be very easy for someone just walking down the street to snatch her up and obviously I don’t want to chase her because I don’t want her to feel like it’s a game and that that is OK to do. Also given the fact that she’s unvaccinated I often have to take sticks rocks and other things from her mouth and I noticed that if she has one in her mouth she will try to run away from me and that’s really the first thing she does when she gets outside is grabs up a stick or something else. It’s giving me anxiety because recently in my area someone had their French bulldog puppy stolen and I don’t want that to happen to her especially given the fact that she only does this when other people open or leave out the door or when I’m like retrieving a food delivery she finds a way to wig herself out the door. Please help!
I’m no trainer but have you seen those door screens that you hook to the door? When you open the door, it pulls a barrier that dogs can’t escape through. This gives the door opener a chance to look for the door before I attaching the screen.

I need help. We did your potty training and it worked amazingly well. However, or dog is just under 8 months low and she will not sleep through the night. She wakes me up at Midnight, 2,3, or 4am and when we try to let her self sooth she just won’t stop. She wants the attention because she doesn’t always go. What do we do to get a full night sleep?
I know I created a monster because when she would bark or cry I’d take her out so she didn’t wake my wife or kids but I need sleep. Any tips you can give?

Hi, I could really use some help. My dog gets really scared in the car. Do you have any suggestions for car anxiety? She has a car seat box, but she still shakes. She's a Pomeranian American Eskimo mix. She came from Ohio 2 years ago on a long car ride. Ever since she has been so scared. Also, My dog is 2 years old and still uses a potty pad and pees and poops on my rug.. she's not allowed to wander the house because she is still in the bathroom unattended, which is partially are fault for not being better at training her. is it too late to train her? Hi Rachel I love your videos I've Ben trying to get a dog but my mom is allergic so I research hypoallergenic dog I want a somoyed I've listed and priced everything we need I have found a breeder made a 70slide presentation and I have one more option foster a hypoallergenic dog doesn't have to be a somoyed my dad loves the idea but my mom she doesn't listen to anything.

Thank you so much for the kind words and great question!! I like having the new variety of toys, it keeps life interesting for them - so when a new box come we put away the old one in a closet basket. Few months later, we will bring the old ones out again and re-use them - the boys love it ❤️

i don‘t think so they might have hurt themselves while chewing. same happened to my older dog it will go away . is the toy sharp? maybe find a different toy that is not sharp. if she bleeds much go to the vet

My puppy hides to take naps and she doesn’t sleep at night at all she drinks a lot of water then she has so much energy she runs around the house everywhere
I mean self accountability needs to happen in your part the dog isn’t feeding themselves water and maybe try keeping her in a compacted area to avoid the running around a few hours prior to bed time to avoid her being overly stimulated

Get them up, take them to pee without any fuss, being quiet, and then increase the times as they’re getting older and a more trained bladder.
It was easy if she could go through steps rather than talk many things at a time.
