  • How to start an Etsy shop for beginners. Sharing tips on how I went from 0 to 500 Etsy sales in just a few months. I’ll be diving into research, reviews, keywords, photos, videos, and listings to help you with your Etsy success! Check out my Etsy shop here → www.etsy.com/shop/StayCreating
Last year I decided to open an Etsy shop again (after leaving the platform for a couple of years). I wanted to be super intentional about the way I launched and grew my shop this time around. So I did a lot of research, spoke to successful Etsy shop owners, and listened to podcasts and learned SO much in the process. I launched with purely digital products and since the filming of this video, my shop has grown to include physical products as well.
I’m far from an expert but my Etsy business is growing and I’m learning so much everyday. TH-cam has helped me so much in starting a small business, so I wanted to put these tips out there for anyone who finds themselves looking for real tips from real people. I feel so supported as a maker and I hope this video helps other makers make money on Etsy. 💸✨💗

Thank you for the tips Amanda!
I'm planning to sell on Etsy soon. Out of the 500 sales how many were for the physical items?

you’re so welcome! good luck to you & when you open shop, share it with me. I’d love to see what you make ☺️
& to answer your question, the first 500 sales were purely digital patterns. I didn’t launch physical products until about 2 months ago. it’s picking up slowly but still just a small fraction of sales right now compared to the patterns. i’m currently experimenting with a few different things like ads, a program calls sales samurai & adjusting listings to get more sales. learning a lot!

You could totally do it part time ☺️ If your worried about the time commitment, you can always adjust the shipping & packing times to work with your schedule.

I opened a shop on Etsy a few month ago… I sell crochet plushies, but I’m not getting any orders, TH-cam videos suggest to make TikTok about it but I don’t want to.

Wow so many products! love the kimonos, the headbands & little girl dresses 😍 You put a lot of love in your products & it shows. Something you can experiment with is adding more keywords (as explained in the video) and also I would suggest trying to light your photos a little more (try taking photos in front of a window or natural source of light). It’s not easy but i’ve noticed it has made a big difference in my own listings.
