Tony ruled vs Paulie not because of Ralphie but because prior to Ralphie turning up, Paulie clearly annoyed Tony by telling him that he was sending his mum to the same place as Livia, and how he isn't a loser and would make it work money-wise. It was basically Tony's way to put him back in his place, showing him that what ended up in his pocket was his decision. It once again highlighted Paulie's inability to keep his mouth shut when he needed to or be tactful. A foreshadowing for how he then practically gets manipulated by Sack and ends up giving away vital family information.

The age discrepancy (22/23) with Jackie Jr was DEFINITELY intentional, not a continuity error. Tony definitely forgot the exact age, wasn't a continuity error. My own father used to forget me and my brother's exact ages and he wasn't even a bad father, he was never off by my more than a year and it wasn't because he didn't care, he just worked long hours in stressful jobs. I think he was more on the ball with it when I was a young child, but by the time my brother (the younger sibling) was a teenager, it was more "2 teenagers". Very realistic little detail there, being off by 1 year when talking about a "kid" in his early twenties.

Great analysis, Kino. A couple of thoughts: You didn't give a shout-out to David Chase for his cameo appearance as the military academy commandant. Great points on self-indulgence; the series is full of them. The whole turning point of the series was when Paulie didn't get his money in the sit-down, turned to Johnny Sac in a moment of weakness, (and as you point out, manipulation on the part of Johnny Sac), and eventually told Johnny about Ralph being the joke teller. The joke was the beginning of the end of the Jersey family as we knew it. And finally, you are correct, Adriana was a lovable bimbo.
i love watching your videos! One thing you didn't mention(although most probably knew)is that Tobin Bell plays the military school guy lol a little before he was Jigsaw/John Kramer in the Saw series.
The song that Dominic (Uncle Junior) sings is pronounced coor-eh en-grah-toe (you can hear it in the song). I recommend checking out Giuseppe DeStefano's version of it.
The scene where Adriana meets the FBI agent was re-shot. It was Originally played by Fairuza Balk, but I think she didn't want to work the shooting schedule. The scene is up on TH-cam.

@@ahumanbeingfromtheearth1502 I meant it more that the producers didn't even want to waste a blank on his death and used a toy gun instead. XD
@@TomOostenrijk no, I know. The gun looking so dumb is part of what I was talking about.
ginny can get a little heavy about john smoking...
“Oooh! That’s the guys wife!”
Seriously though, I heard a story about ginny’s mole…
A little heavy? Lol.
I love your analysis of these things, very cool and interesting. That part at the end was really good.
Apparently, the character Michael K. Williams (Omar Little from The Wire) plays in this episode is named Ray Ray.
6:02 "and we see it bite him in the ass in this episode" - now there's an image! especially with Vito behind him
how they hell did little jackie jr not see vito coming after him? vito had a hard time getting into the escape car too.

I’m surprised you didn’t point out that Tobin Bell (Jigsaw) played the director at the military academy
This is like watching the series all over!
*Jackie comin yo!*
Also, that lego gun that they had Vito use LOL
You could convince me Tobin Bell got the role of Jigsaw from how intimidating he was in this one scene.
i love watching your videos! One thing you didn't mention(although most probably knew)is that Tobin Bell plays the military school guy lol a little before he was Jigsaw/John Kramer in the Saw series.
I just found your channel and being a soprano fan your videos are top! Good job!!!
Thank you for making these.
RIP Michael K Williams
I have nothing to say, just wanted to leave a comment to support Pure Kino.
Thanks for the video Kino, I think the world of you
the difference between Paulies moms reaction to living at Green Grove vs. Livias reaction....oof! Marrone!
The song that Dominic (Uncle Junior) sings is pronounced coor-eh en-grah-toe (you can hear it in the song). I recommend checking out Giuseppe DeStefano's version of it.
Really enjoy your channel. Good stuff. Salut!
The scene where Adriana meets the FBI agent was re-shot. It was Originally played by Fairuza Balk, but I think she didn't want to work the shooting schedule. The scene is up on TH-cam.
Michael K Williams is “Omar’s” name. He was also in boardwalk empire
Come on, at no point during the recording and editing did it occur to you to perhaps look up the "Omar" actor's name? It's Michael Kenneth Williams.
Excellent job again. Looking forward to many more episodes
Run , Omar's coming !!!!!
Michael K. Williams also played the incredible Chalky White on Boardwalk Empire
5:24 I totally agree, it's low key canon that's Omar when he was laying low away from Baltimore
"Didnt he almost drown in 3 inches of water"
