    You know what is the worst part of learning air roll... you will struggle a lot and then one day it will just "click" and you will start doing it w/o much thinking and it will improve to the point it will be seamless like driving on ground.
    Rings map to try from easy to hard:
    - dmc 2 - easiest one, really nice flow
    - dmc 3 - more challenge and also 3 types of ring size
    - leth's neon city - really great map, nice flow and challenge
    - Neon city remixed - same setting but a bit more variety
    - Leth's Ring map the "OG" - it's a marathon, longest, hard but not like some ridiculous shit...
    There are more rings map but I think if you pass those with air roll everything will be doable.

      @@harissamayomint just a tip from the gameplay I just watched when you air rolled in your Ariel’s you should start the air roll not moving your joystick because if you start with a tornado spin or any kind of adjustment it’s gonna make your Ariel’s slower than if you just went straight up so if you just go up and hold down air roll and don’t move your joystick then start making adjustments you will get to the ball way faster

    I have looked at many well known rocket league content creators about learning air roll and I still couldnt get it. But your video showed up on my recommended page, so I just decided it was worth a go. To this day, this is by far the best tutorial I watched, and now I can finally apply air roll to my game confidently because I actually know what I a doing. This video has helped me a lot thank you so much for helping me out and I especially thank you for doing things such as; giving suggestions for both console and PC, being realistic with certain things such as world champions live in a whole different world, you have only just started and looking for feedback, etc..., you gave examples of things to try and avoid like constantly and unnecessarily tornado spinning, jagging joystick side to side while directional air rolling, etc... There is also many things that I appreciate you mentioning but these are the main ones because all of that would have been way too much to type out read and for you to read. Something that I do request for a future video if you haven't already done which I will check after I am done typing this out is a tutorial on how to start dribbling the ball off the wall and then jump into it and begin to gain control to do an air dribble as that is also something that I have been struggling with. Other than that I would just like to thank you for a second time for helping me with directional air rolling!

    For the training pack, am I supposed to be fast aerialing for all of the shots? If so, do I wait until I complete the mechanic to start air rolling? Also, should I focus on holding boost/trying to get to the ball as fast as possible?

    • @harissamayomint
      @harissamayomint  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Most of the shots in the redirects pack require you to fast aerial (especially the high ones), but not all of them. Just experiment with how quickly you reach the ball in each shot and you'll figure out which ones need a fast aerial. As for the air roll, I usually fast aerial, and then start air rolling straight after. I'm sure other people approach it differently, though.
      I recommend holding down boost to build up your momentum and then feathering it once you're closer to the ball.
      Being able to properly feather your boost whilst using directional air roll is super underrated, and quite difficult at first. It's something I now wish I had mentioned in the video 🙂

    I'm going to use this video to help me learn how to air roll, but I was wondering if I should focus on speedflipping first? or just learn air roll because I have an interest in flying more? lol my current masteries include fast aerial double jumps, platinum/diamond car control, and recoveries on fleek for reasons i can't explain. Advice?

    • @harissamayomint
      @harissamayomint  ปีที่แล้ว

      If your recoveries are on point, then you already have a 'one-up' on most other people in Plat/Diamond . Learning the Speedflip can be ultra painful for some people and easy for others. With that being said, I think that as the skill ceiling rises, knowing how to Speedflip has started to become a necessity even in many low champ games. The choice is yours, but I personally learnt how to (at least inconsistently) Speedflip before practicing directional air roll. Hope this helps! 🙂

    • @d34thd4y4
      @d34thd4y4 ปีที่แล้ว

      just saying, you don't need air roll to get to champ (at least in 2s). Speedflipping imo is much easier and better to learn; for kickoffs (very helpful and useful in lower ranks), speed and recovery (altho i'm a kbm player might be harder on controller). Currently, if you're below champ, you should focus on ground plays and ground mechanics (like dribbling, altho learning the others listed first is better imo), as well as normal aerials, fast aerials, and placing shots on target from all types of distances. These are better to learn than air rolling to rank up before champ, as they are much more beneficial and help you improve and get better. After hitting champ, I'd say that is the point you start learning a wider variety of mechanics, due to the vast difference of skills in champ, as well as how much harder it gets. You could although learn basic air roll, such as air rolling slightly to one side before hitting the ball by flipping in the other direction (useful for tighter angles).

    so why is this actually useful outside of just looking flashy and cool? You say it allows certain goals and saves to become possible, but I don’t see how just going up without extra air-rolls to be worse. That first example shown makes some sense, but then the next 2 just look doable without rolling as well

    • @harissamayomint
      @harissamayomint  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's purely to do with adjusting the angle that your car is on; having control of multiple axis' can make a huge difference. But yep, especially in the lower ranks, most shots, saves etc. can be achieved without it. 🙂

      I'd recommend getting very comfortable with using regular air-roll for recoveries first. If, thereafter, you're still insistent on using a direction air roll, then it sounds like it could come down to your timing. Try and land on the wall as your cars wheels are facing it. Goodluck! 🙂
