The part where he gives simple, easy to implement things to do to stimulate the vagus nerve and subsequently lower the stress response in our bodies was wonderful!
Thanks to you I've just 'met' Dr Hanscom. I hung on every word he said. I'm going to binge on all of his resources, incl his books. Thank you so much. This resonates with me.
This was an amazing interview. Love the way he explains and his examples. Anyone who is “collecting evidence” for TMS in whatever condition you have…this is a good one!
Thank you! The last part of this interview give me so much hope, that by doing mind body work we can be healed from autoimmune diseases( by decreasing inflammation we can change the physiology).
Excelente entrevista! Todas las personas con TMS deberían verla! Yo leí el libro del Doctor Hanscom, y recomiendo mucho su lectura. Hay muchísima gente sufriendo de dolor crónico que no tienen acceso a esta información
"He also discusses degenerative disc disease, bulged discs, herniations, (47:25) and how there is no data showing they cause pain." So I listened to this I don't know how there is a lack of data when it is easy to demonstrate. Is the problem the gathering of the data? I can trigger pain by putting pressure where my disc-bulge pinches my nerves.
If you’re wondering if your pain is neuroplastic, take the pain test on my website. I could manually trigger my pain before I addressed my healing with mind body pain too. But it turns out it was still not structural. But if you’re not curious if your pain is mind body, no worries. Not everyone is interested in this type of conversation.
Yeah - some podcasts are more meant to inform - to help people understand and believe the science of mind body syndrome. This episode was that- less about what to do about it or what the work looks like :)
@@ThoughtByThoughtHealing His lecture was informative but too me still scattered and complicated.. Stimulat the vagus nerve etc. Also writing it down makes it worst..

Jen, Thank you so much! The information you are presenting is just what I was seeking, especially because you present through a Christian perspective.
I’m so glad 🙂

Best interview I've seen yet on this topic. More information than I can process so I guess I'll have to watch it again.
So interesting!!

Jen you need to break it down what the surgeon is saying and make it more simple were hearing how its all connected but not how by example to fix it

Chronic Pain shrinks your brain!
Pretty crazy huh.
All this scares me..I have been stuck in trauma..Is there away to turn this off?
Yes. Keep watching the videos and looking into the mind body connection! There is a way out!
