I dont mean your video quality, i mean to say that the doctors should use the computer systems and print the prescription for patients..

Being a Doctor myself, I strongly agree to his content. There are few doctors who really cares about this issue, most get eventually driven/compelled/forced to MR's influence due to low salary, hectic duty hours, competetive life-styles and also high investment of time in the service. As a human, they eventually get tired and practice some out of ethics practices that affects you people.
I request all the doctors to please write the name of the medications in their GENERIC names with neat handwritings. Digital prescription printing is far beyond technology for Nepal to implement into practice. Your profession is dedicated to the humanity ❤, unlike others... and do remember you already took an oath/promise for the betterment of the patients before you enter MBBS. Stick to the humanity, it gives you satisfaction at last.

Being a teenager I've a huge curiosity regarding these things but everytime I visit any doctor's of my locality they just try to ignore these major questions raised by me.
Also I've been highly effected through the shifts of doctors at different hospitals the administration informs at particular time and doctor comes too late and they just try to make the treatment way irritating.
If you are doctor then I highly recommend you to listen to all the questions raised by your patients 🙏🏻

Recently, I had a similar experience where my mother went to a hospital for a checkup and performed some tests, the doctor prescribed some medications. Later, the pharmacists gave my mother a 1500 mg tablet (due to doctor's bad handwriting), rather than the 500 mg which was actually prescribed, resulting in a severe allergic reaction.

I am in Austria, here every person living in this country has a national health ID card called an e-card, every time I go to visit a doctor or pharmacy they ask for this card. When I see the doctor the prescription is added to my medical history using this e-card now I go to the pharmacy they scan this card get the prescription and the entire medical history and give me the medicine. We need something like this in Nepal as well, I know this is far-fetched but we at least need to have a conversation. This solution is so neat because it solves the bad handwriting problem and since everything is logged on one central system any unnecessary prescription is also recorded there along with medical history which makes it easier to catch bad actors.

I am a pharmacist and I totally agree with your content. My other friends also send me the photos of prescription that they dont understand in viber and I msg them the name of the medicine. Sometimes, it's easy to understand and sometimes, I use the same trick that you mentioned in your video. Pharmaceutical market in Nepal, India and other south asian countries is totally chaotic. There are many non-pharmacists in pharmacies and many of those pharmacies are unregistered.

I totally agree with clean and readable handwriting concept of doctors .. Generic Name ko barema pharmacist harule badmasi garne garxan .. Generic name lekhnu parxa ani tei nai sell hunu parxa has always been my point tara pharmacy company le pani aafno brand name na lekhera GENERIC NAME mai medicine produce garnu parxa thats bcoz while doing my internship we used to write generic name and tell patient to bring the medicine once u buy .. tyaha dherai palta k dekhiyo Pharmacist harule INDIAN MEDICINE dine garthe( generic name same vayera mahango medicine dine) that was too expensive instead of nepali cheaper ones .. so Generic name ko kurama Pharmacist harule pani aafno badniyat dekhaye paxi we started to prescribe nepali medicines with brand names.. tei vayera generic name nai lagu hunu pardaxa ra tesko lagi Pharmaceutical companies should produce without their brand name so that everyone gets saved 😅

I am a doctor myself. Thankfully, patient load where I practice at is low, hence maintaining neat handwriting is possible. If someday, I happen to work at government hospital where I might have to check more than 100 patients in a few hours, it will be very difficult to maintain clarity with my writing, and also have patience to listen and answer to patient's concerns. There is fault in the system. Low salary, hectic work schedule, poor sleep and no timely food, it's very difficult to balance everything while being deprived of body fuel. And there are paramedics who are believed to be doctors by the public. Too many issues to deal with.

Recently I have been hearing a lot about KANGEN ALKALINE WATER.Those who are involved in selling these water ionizers are really fooling common Nepalese people .They makes unrealistic claims that the water will cure cancer and slow the ageing process.Particularly in Biratnagar I have heard a lot of stories how they have been convincing people to buy their expensive machines which cost around 7 lakh rupees.
Though there may be some health benefits of alkaline water, but fooling common Nepalese with unrealistic claims is immoral and condemnful. Those sales people even claim they should stop taking medications for Diabetes and Hypertension and instead drink their water for cure.
If you make a video in this I am sure a lot of people would be aware and be prevented in falling in these trap.

Great analysis, sir. This can't be resolved until and unless the concept of a health information management system is accepted and used by medical professionals. This involves the use of e-prescribing, COPE, CDS, and BPOC systems. It will help definitely in resolving such medication errors. Apart from this, we need to establish the idea of sending an illegible text to the doctor again and again for cross-verification.

Most of the people use medicine without being consult by doctors and this is because they have seen the medicine prescribed by doctor somewhere and due to this drug resistance is increasing so this point should be in consideration 😌

    2. Doctor le brand name kai medicine lekhda samet; pharmacy bata arkai medicine diyienxa jun usually ekdam low quality ko hunxa; jastai (Arya pharmaceutical ko medicine); u can do research on it.
Dherai pharmacy bata especially in rural areas; sabai Arya pharmaceutical ko medicine vetinxa; kna vanne; euta medicine kinda company le 3 ota samma free dinxa ani tesma profit dherai xa and doctor usually (avoid these type of medicines)
    3. Nepal ma medicine ko quality control ekdam kaam xa; tyo kura ma kosaiko ko dyan nai xaina; sadai doctor le commission liyo vanne matra suninxa; tesko deep ma janu vayo balla bujinxa ki why we prefer writing brand vs generic.
    4. Pharma company ani Medical pharmacy ma hunne; openly medicine buy and sell lai kosaile matlab nai gardaina.

Here are some guidelines to implement proper solutions to tackle these problems:
    1. Enhance Prescription Systems:
    - Implement computerized prescription systems to minimize errors caused by illegible handwriting.
    - Introduce standardized prescription formats that include clear instructions, generic names of medicines, and appropriate dosage information.
    - Ensure that doctors receive adequate training on prescription writing and medication management.
    2. Improve Awareness and Education:
    - Conduct educational campaigns to raise awareness among healthcare professionals, patients, and the general public about the risks associated with medicine misuse and the importance of following proper prescription guidelines.
    - Promote the use of patient information leaflets that provide comprehensive instructions and potential side effects of medications.
    3. Strengthen Regulatory Measures:
    - Enforce stringent regulations to monitor and control the prescription and dispensing of medicines.
    - Implement electronic prescription monitoring systems to track prescribing patterns and identify potential misuse.
    - Establish legal consequences and penalties for healthcare professionals found guilty of prescribing medication inappropriately or involved in bribery.
    4. Encourage Ethical Practices:
    - Promote ethical behavior among medical representatives by implementing strict codes of conduct and providing regular training on ethical marketing practices.
    - Encourage healthcare professionals to report instances of bribery and unethical behavior through anonymous reporting channels.
    - Foster a culture of transparency and integrity within the healthcare system.
    5. Improve Access to Information:
    - Develop centralized databases of medication information that are easily accessible to healthcare professionals.
    - Provide comprehensive drug information resources, including databases and mobile applications, to assist healthcare professionals in making informed decisions.
    6. Strengthen Collaboration:
    - Foster collaboration between healthcare professionals, regulatory authorities, pharmaceutical companies, and professional associations to collectively address these issues.
    - Establish platforms for open dialogue and knowledge sharing to identify and implement best practices.
    7. Conduct Research:
    - Invest in research and development to improve medication delivery systems, prescription technologies, and patient education tools.
    - Support studies that investigate the impact of these interventions on reducing medication misuse and unethical practices.
    8. Monitor and Evaluate:
    - Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented interventions.
    - Use data analytics to identify trends, patterns, and areas of concern, and take appropriate actions to address them.
Lastly, we citizens should stop voting the same idiots who cannot think beyond their benefits and lack a logical approach and initiatives to solutions.
